Hi,
I have been trying to root a sm-t290 for the past few days, when I was flashing majisk, the tablet told me it would not accept unofficial roms, even though up to that point I had been flashing TWRP. I then locked the bootloader thinking locking and unlocking might fix the problem. I then found after reflashing the stock firmware that OEM Unlock was no longer in developer options. I have tried using the date change method to get it to reappear to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay sooo.. I rooted my samsung galaxy s4 GT-I9505 awhile back and everything was going great. So I thought it would be a good idea to flash a custom ROM, which didnt go as smoothly as I hoped it would, so the phone had a soft brick which i solved by reflashing the stock ROM.
After some more time I tried to flash a new kernel to overclock, i followed the tutorial exactly but again it didnt want to work, and yet again i had to reflash the stock ROM.
This is when everything started to go wrong because i went to my moms house i downloaded the wrong stock ROM, it booted up but some things wouldnt work
e.g WiFi wouldnt turn on (it just said turning on, and never did), phone calls were buggy (after i entered the number and clicked call the screen would go black, and the notifications bar would flicker).
There may have been more but i dont know. The next day i went back to my fathers and attempted to reflash the correnct stock ROM whick caused the phone to boot up in a mode that said to connect to kies. rooting managed to get the phone to boot but it was the stock ROM that i put on at my moms house.
I then took it to repair shop because i didnt have a clue and he got the correct rom onto it but... the wifi and the calls still wouldnt work!
I dont have a clue what to do. and this is my last resort, if im missing info that you need let me know.
Thanks.
PS sorry for the poor English ^_^

Hi all,
(This is regarding my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4)
I was updating via Wifi to Jelly Bean 4.3 however I went outside and interrupted the Wifi connection. I tried to re-do the software update and it says "Current software up to date, you may check back in 24 hours". I then tried switching my clock manually to tomorrow, but I got the same message and now it says "Current software up to date, you may check back in 48 hours".
Question is, does anyone know how to bypass this dumb message or does anyone know of a direct download? I also tried Kies but it wont work on my company laptop for security reasons.
Thanks a bunch!
I had the same problem. I turned off the Automatic date and time in the settings and set the clock ahead as needed. It worked, and after 4.3 was installed I turned Auto time back on.

Thanks for your input. I did try this multiple times and it only says "Software up to date". I should have never interrupted the wifi - now I can't get the download going again.
Reboot the phone, then set date forward 1 day, should allow you to download the update then

Ok, I'll give this one more try. I wonder why there's not a direct download link available anywhere, like on the AT&T website.
Thanks.
EDIT - I tried and same thing...just says software is up to date I think I lost my one chance to get the update and now this phone thinks I'm at 4.3 or something. Oh well...maybe I'll just wait to see it works in another week or so.

I was told by AT&T tech support to use keys yeah I spelled it wrong anyway they're idiots because you can only do it wifi and three nights in a row it was going to download the update and it says error and then you can't do it another 24 hours I cannot believe that stock phone no one can find a way past the 24 hour clock. Maybe I'll just hangouts shabby. its really shocking because there's so much talent here at least I found this lol
Dont download the mf3/mj9 file. Go to the thread in the general section about the 4.3 update coming nov 13.
Around page 70 there is a link to the full mk2 update. This is what you want. Other wise youll still be short a 28mb update and still have to check for software updates again.
I got a realy strange problem with my D802, this came up out of the blue.
About 2 weeks ago I suddenly lost all network functions, for a few hours, then it came back again. Later I had only 2G and realy bad phone reception. The other morning everything was fine until a few hours later I was offline again. It was just then it came to me to check my imei and it was gone
At the time I was on stock 30B with one of Dorimanx' kernels. I was using this combo for a few days already so neither rom or kernel caused this.
Since this problem occurred I've been busy with this, searching the net, flashing all kinds of KDZ's, Kernels, Roms and what else but to no evail.
I did backup my original EFS partition but restoring doesn't help. been trying to put my imei back with QPST and EFS professional but NOPE!!
Rightnow the issue has changed slightly, when I (re)boot my Device I got no imei but after a while, can be a few minutes or maybe an hour the imei comes back.
I'm out of ideas, hope any of you guys can help :fingers-crossed:. Rightnow my G2 is nothing more then a really small tablet with phone functionality when it feels like it. And I feel like turning it in to a frisbee
I put a logcat from boot there ---> http://pastebin.com/kdR13DaR
Current setup stock 30B, stock Kernel, no Xposed
Thanks in advance
Edit: added last_kms log.

That was not exactly what I had in mind. Last_kmsg is the dmesg from before the latest restart. I hope that there might be a telling message during boot, so you need to restart again and capture a current dmesg. You can do that on a command line by typing
dmesg >/sdcard/msg.txt

Sorry for this awfully late reply mate ?
I got caught up searching for a decent chinese phone to replace this G2, but no winners there Hehe.
I lost my warrantee already because of a screen replacement. So I scored a G2 with broken screen (plus original charger ?) for a few euros to try to swap the motherboard coming weekend ?
Hi guys, Ive searched and searched, but couldnt find anything that worked for me, so I apologize if this has been answered before.
I attempted to root my GS6 Sprint phone, and something has gone wrong. When the phone reboots the touch screen doesnt work at all and it doesnt find any cell signals.
I flashed to S6-UniKernel_v6-0001-ODIN, the firmware on the phone at the time was 5.1.1.
I tried to flash back using G920PVPU1AOCF_G920PSPT1AOCF_G920PVPU1AOCF_HOME.tar. but I get "FAILED" every time.
So I tried to install twrp-2.8.7.1-zeroflte.img, and that seemed to install fine, but I cant reset because even in TWRP I have no use of my touch screen.
I am using the samsung cable, and it does go to the Downloading mode, but as soon as I click start it fails.
Anyone that can help me fix this I would gladly paypal the cost of a six pack. (Mods if this isnt allowed please let me know)
Okay so here is what fixed it for anyone else like me that is a noob, and does dumb stuff to their phone. You cant roll back to old firmwares. You have to flash to the latest firmware that was on the phone or newer. I found the updated firmware and its good to go.

Will do brother. Thank you so much, you really pulled me out of a spot. Im used to paying for everything in "Military Currency". Thank you again.
So here's what happened:
Got a message to reboot my non rooted Mi A1 in order to finish the november update
Clicked on it and waited for the reboot, which took a while
Screen kept flashing, but mostly a black screen with now and then a flash of my background and the task bar in the top of the screen.
Went to this forum to find answers and solutions
OEM was locked and couldn't access the phone, so unlocking OEM and flashing stock was not an option.
Saw someone mention you can switch the active partition. It was set on B and I changed it to A.
Phone works fine with that option, but the message that the update has failed keeps popping up and it gives an error when I try to redownload and reinstall the update.
If anyone knows what the recommended steps are to fix this issue it would be most helpful!
PS. Also if I have to unlock OEM that means it will wipe the phone right? Any tips on backing up the apps including their user data (meaning I won't have to reconnect authenticators to my phone, won't lose game date etc.)
Try to remove sim and disable PIN.
