Hi guys, I would like to unlock my TDP and/or voltage control. There is this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/xiaomi-mi-notebook-air-13-2018-8250u-8550u-mx150.3839909/page-2 but all links are dead and without the Variable Patcher, tutorials don´t work. Anyone got it? Or some other way? My TDP is locked to 81C and I can´t even undervolt my CPU.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has the file!

Hi have been trying to get a TP-WN722N to run on my i9505 rooted and cwm recovery
TP-WN722N chipset = atheros ar9271
needs ath9k_htc driver
and htc_9271.fw
has anyone got a module i can insmod?
Am new to android as of 2 days ago so am still learning how to do everything. Bricked about 3 times.
Am trying to connect this usb wifi adapter to get monitor mode and injection. for aircrack/reaver
(maxters - aircrack-suite-for-galaxy-note-2)
or a link to a newbie tutorial to build kernel source supporting ath9k drivers?
Anyway will donate $15 to anyone that can get me running (is this allowed?)
cheers
Will still donate if somebody can help
compile kernel
Am about to compile kernel from source and build modules.
Will post after if it is successful and anyone is interested?
Will try do ath9k and rtl8187 drivers.
success
Success. Had problems with compiling on ubuntu 13.04. Then couldn't insmod the compiled modules due to dependencies for the mac80211 module so I ended up just compiling wanams adam kernel with the required modules built in and bang no more problems. Copied firmware to folder.
Tp link tl-wn722n wifi adapter running in monitor mode. Aircrack and reaver working with no problems. No -1 channel issue. hasn't cause any other problems with the phones built in wifi or anythng else.
Hope someone may find this useful. Will upload when i can post links if anyone wants it. But would be better to compile yourself
P.s. i am using this for easy pentesting on networks which i have permission. Not intended for illegal purposes.
This is awesome! Great work, i would love you to update the files as i am pretty new to linux...

So you placed all of the modules and everything into a kernel and flashed it? May you please post a link in a drop box or something, to the working kernel with the modules in it?
Sorry for the huge bump

Hi there. Decided to stop lurking and finally made an account. Also, I realize this is an incredible bump, but it's the only thread I could find on the subject.
I managed to compile the latest release of the CM11 kernel (same as my S4 is running) with ath9k and mac80211 support baked in (not modular), but my AR9271 is still b0rked. It shows up in lsusb, so it's working, but not functioning. I've tried like, everything....... except giving it extra power. Did you need to do that? AFAIK it only draws about 200-300 mA at most, and the S4 is more than capable of that ._.
Does anyone know if there's something special needed to get the adapter working apart from plugging it in? I'm losing sleep D:

Hi guys,
I'm trying to figure out how to unlock the bootloader of the ZE500KL, I have a full dump and I think that we can unlock it by modifying the aboot.bin file.
Tryied to decompile it, but not understand the output code at all because it is with addresses. Can someone help me?
Here the zip with decompiled files.
c file contains functions, svg are graphs of the functions that can be opened and viewed with google chrome, and dsm file is low level code I think, there are some interesting strings in it.

Have you tried what the zenfone 2 does? seeing as they are fairly similar phones http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/congrats-to-bootlocker-unlocked-t3138547
also here is a way to root it if you have not done that already http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63444749&postcount=108

UPDATE:
Tried shakalaka method and doesn't work, copied the key in asuskey file in /factory but at reboot in bootloader nothing happens!
These phones share naming, but under the hood they are completely different. The ZF2 is using an Intel processor and the Laser is using a SnapDragon 615 ARM processor. It would be better to look at common unlocking methods for similarly spec'd devices. Asus tends to not alter to much from standard design specs released by the SoC manufacturer. This phone is also just now getting released in the U.S so support may take a while to get development picked up. Keep an eye on 23 pin's blog because he does a lot of work with varying models of Asus devices.
Guys, i recently decided to try undervolt and overclock in my device. However, before i even started, i realized that this is a procedure that needs time in the form of trial and error. I know that the exact settings rely heavily on the bins of the individual cpu but i created this thread in order to trade some potentially valuable information.
So, do you undervolt/overvolt, underclock/overclock or a combination of both?
What's your result(SOT-smoothness-benchmarks)?
What kernel and rom do you use?
I just got a Henhaoro G711HZA5.

Done a ton of research, and I am at a loss. I know it runs a MediaTek MT8127 Cortex-A7 ARM chip.
Anyone have any ideas how to Root this badboy? I found some hints on a Russian forum for a Hoxiao, which is essentially an identical tablet, but I can't understand.

Is there any way to get a custom ROM on here? Clockwork? TWRP? The frontend is pretty janky and I'd love to get something a bit more useable on there.
EDIT: I've also found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...its/identify-head-unit-apps-kk-4-4-4-t3446989 for MT83xx chips, would this work for the MT81xx chip? And for 5.1, not 4.4.4?
EDIT2: Also found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/root-tips-rooting-cheap-chinese-t3337484
There might be hope?! Anyone with experience using the SP Flash Tool?
Hello everyone!
Ive bought a RSNav S3 Head Unit System for my Audi A4 B8 2010.
Im trying to find out a few things of the device to root it and cusomize some things in the system. (Root, TWRP, Key mapping, MCU modification)
Do you know a device which is similar to the S3 Board i have? It could be that the Devices uses the same Software and MCU as other devices. I found some Strings in the System APKs where other Car brands pop up.
I have the complete Firmware of the Device (no source) and an update File for the MCU (.mce).
Here are some Specs:
Qualcomm MSM8953/Snapdragon 450
4Gigs Ram
64Gigs Rom
10.25Inch Screen 1920x780p
No Hardware Keys (except hidden Reset Button)
No ADB USB Port (someone said that its hidden in the case)

I've attached some Images of the UI
Maybe somebody can help me
So I found out something of the device.
There's a Quectel Sc600y build in. Also there's a pinout four a debugging usb port. But when I connect a USB Cabel to it, windows says that the device is faulty and can not be detected.
Must it be enabled in firmware? Can someone help me pls
Hi.
Any news? Will receive my S3 unit soon too.
No, nothing found yet.
I've done some research in this. Most of the Apps Uses Programm Parts called "com.mct" or "com.hc". But i didnt find somting about that on google.
I've seen launchers which look pretty similar to the S2/S3 launcher of RSNav. But dont found someting about them too.
Also Magisk is not available for that atm.
So i was able to root the S3 Device.
I will create a script/guide soon.
Found out that the MCU must be integrated in the System under /dev/ttyHSL2. But atm im unable to read messages from it. Baudrate is set right, but i only get cryptic messages.
Maybe someone has an idea how to read it right.
Hi mate, I'm interested if you can share how you rooted your S3 unit. I will receive mine soon and I would like also to root it. ty
You can get the Script here:

Nice, thank you!
Were you able to do some interesting stuff with it yet?

Hey, bro. Will your script work on RSNav 4?
