Root? ROMs? Generic Henhaoro 7" Dash Unit - Android Head-Units

I just got a Henhaoro G711HZA5.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07196PZDY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Done a ton of research, and I am at a loss. I know it runs a MediaTek MT8127 Cortex-A7 ARM chip.
Anyone have any ideas how to Root this badboy? I found some hints on a Russian forum for a Hoxiao, which is essentially an identical tablet, but I can't understand.
https://translate.google.com/transl.../forum/index.php?showtopic=842244&prev=search
Is there any way to get a custom ROM on here? Clockwork? TWRP? The frontend is pretty janky and I'd love to get something a bit more useable on there.
EDIT: I've also found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...its/identify-head-unit-apps-kk-4-4-4-t3446989 for MT83xx chips, would this work for the MT81xx chip? And for 5.1, not 4.4.4?
EDIT2: Also found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/root-tips-rooting-cheap-chinese-t3337484
There might be hope?! Anyone with experience using the SP Flash Tool?

Joying JY-UO135N4PX5S questions/feedback

Hi all,
Does anyone own the Joying JY-UO135N4PX5S (please mind the "S" at the end of the reference number)?
It has CPU: PX5 Octa Core, Ram: 4GB, Rom: 64GB.
Can we use Malaysk ROM for PX5 (2-4 Gb) 8.0 Android Oreo on this unit?
It has been a while since this HU was available, but I can't find anywhere any review, feedback or anything about it.
Thank you for replying.
Short answer: no.
For extended information, see the relevant thread where the subject has been already extensively discussed.

Thanks for replying and for the info.:good:
I guess the above thread deals with JY-UO135N4PX5, which has Rom 32GB, and not JY-UO135N4PX5S (There is in "S" at the end) with Rom 64GB. I have already seen that thread. Maybe they mention/discus about the "S" model through the thread but I did not find it. Sorry if that is the case
It's the same, just with extended storage…
There are only a very few different units, the variety coming from different screens and storage capacity. Don't believe that Chinese producers lose time and money on developing specific units…
Your unit is a QD produced one. There is very little hope to have custom development on the QD units.

Thank You Néocray for clarifying that. Very helpful as I was going to order the wrong HU. I will be looking for other models (so hard and time consuming to find the right one in that jungle of cheap Chinese Android units).
There is no custom Roms yet for new Android 8.0 FYT units neither, right?
MERCI
I'm in the same boat you are. I came from a time when Joying only made MTCx MCU based units and i accidentally purchased this same unit. I also hear the QD doesn't have a useable recovery either. I wonder if they have a slot A/B and use boot.img to get into recovery? I'm going to play w/ this one I just purchased to see what I can do with it. Anyone know if these are prerooted or easily rootable?
Thanks
Dave
Hello, I buyed the same unit, it has advantages and disadvantages, someone knows how to put a name radio stations, I do not find that option?

Actually it is extremely simple to create a custom rom for your QD unit, or/and to root it and install xposed on it . The flashing is extremely simple. See this post from @m2maynard.
And there is indeed no Custom rom yet for the FYT units. You do need a specific TWRP recovery image for that. There are a few, but they need to be adapted for our units. Then the custom rom building can start.
But like I mentioned before:With rooting and xposed and the JET apk, I see no reason for a custom rom for the PX5.

I agree that there is little need for a custom rom but it's nice to have one that has certain features baked in. IE: Speed volume control, GPS time brightness control, certain MCU interception options, etc. I ended up getting rid of the QD as I wasn't able to obtain root but I also didn't have a factory image to play with at the time. If I had something I could inject SU into I may have kept it.

[SM-T510] (2019) Search for Nethunter/ Kali Linux rom and guide

Hello guys,
this is my first post. Since today I´m a proud owner of a Galaxy Tab A (SM-T510 with 64 GB ROM and 3GB RAM, newest stock android build T510XXU2ASK5, never connected to internet yet).
I want to install Nethunter OS or Kali Linux (if possible) on this and read many hours in the internet but there are some questions:
Has anyone flashed the SM-T510 with Nethunter OS? (if this isn´t possible, a way to just use the kali apps is fine too but not my first choice)
Is it possible to flash directly to the ROM instead to a SD Card?
Which type of processor has the tablet? I think it is amd64 not arm, right? Maybe I could try to flash a Nethunter Image for Galaxy Tab S4 but I´m sure this doesn´t work cause the processor is not exact the same... (https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-nethunter-download/)
I found this thread about Kali Linux installation but I would find a direct installation better https://forum.xda-developers.com/hardware-hacking/hardware/devices-kali-linux-installation-t3414523 (If I can´t install directly, can I use this guide for my device after I rooted it?)
A few years ago I flashed Android on a SD-Card for my HTC Kaiser 130 (still working fine), so I have a little experience about flashing and so on but flashing this tablet looks a little bit more difficult to me, so I want as much information as possible cause I have only one try (in the baddest scenario)
I hope you can help me.
Thanks for reading! (I´m from germany, so I´m sorry for my bad english)
Edit: I have found UserLAnd and will try it now, if someone has a better suggestion, feel free to post it
Where'd you get the idea that this was an AMD64 tablet? All Samsung Galaxy Tab As are ARM, The T510 has an Exynos 7904 or 7885 SoC. And I've never heard of anyone porting a Linux distro to one.

Thanks for your answer lewmur, I just read it is a 64bit proc and thought it is amd64, my last tablet is some years old and I just thinked the technical development is quicker... ^^
Hmm... sounds like bad news, I just googled yesterday and it is a Exynos 7904, yes you´re right. That means it is closed source, damn.
In this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-m30/help/hope-custom-rom-development-m30-exynos-t3910256) I found someone who maybe has kernel source, I will write him. Maybe where is a way to build a Nethunter image by myself. I have tested UserLAnd on the tab and I don´t really like it, it´s not smooth.
On monday I will go to the shop where I buyed the tab and try to give it back, maybe they have goodwill, then I will buy online a nexus tablet, looks much more easier.
Thank you anyway, maybe someone has some more good tipps for me.
I have downloaded this
nethunter-2021.3-generic-armhf-kalifs-full.zip
and flashed it with TWRP on my Rooted Device and it works on SM-T510 Android 11 StockROM

Need some Information about similar RSNav S3 Devices

Hello everyone!
Ive bought a RSNav S3 Head Unit System for my Audi A4 B8 2010.
Im trying to find out a few things of the device to root it and cusomize some things in the system. (Root, TWRP, Key mapping, MCU modification)
Do you know a device which is similar to the S3 Board i have? It could be that the Devices uses the same Software and MCU as other devices. I found some Strings in the System APKs where other Car brands pop up.
I have the complete Firmware of the Device (no source) and an update File for the MCU (.mce).
Here are some Specs:
Qualcomm MSM8953/Snapdragon 450
4Gigs Ram
64Gigs Rom
10.25Inch Screen 1920x780p
No Hardware Keys (except hidden Reset Button)
No ADB USB Port (someone said that its hidden in the case)
https://rsnav.com/collections/s3-an...system-for-audi-b8-a4-s4-rs4-a5-s5-rs5-q5-sq5
I've attached some Images of the UI
Maybe somebody can help me
So I found out something of the device.
There's a Quectel Sc600y build in. Also there's a pinout four a debugging usb port. But when I connect a USB Cabel to it, windows says that the device is faulty and can not be detected.
Must it be enabled in firmware? Can someone help me pls
Hi.
Any news? Will receive my S3 unit soon too.
No, nothing found yet.
I've done some research in this. Most of the Apps Uses Programm Parts called "com.mct" or "com.hc". But i didnt find somting about that on google.
I've seen launchers which look pretty similar to the S2/S3 launcher of RSNav. But dont found someting about them too.
Also Magisk is not available for that atm.
So i was able to root the S3 Device.
I will create a script/guide soon.
Found out that the MCU must be integrated in the System under /dev/ttyHSL2. But atm im unable to read messages from it. Baudrate is set right, but i only get cryptic messages.
Maybe someone has an idea how to read it right.
Hi mate, I'm interested if you can share how you rooted your S3 unit. I will receive mine soon and I would like also to root it. ty
You can get the Script here:

Nice, thank you!
Were you able to do some interesting stuff with it yet?

Hey, bro. Will your script work on RSNav 4?

HTC Wildfire E Lite

I have a HTC Wildfire E Lite as a backup phone. I realise it's not like the old HTC devices in the rest of this forum - it's pretty generic hardware I suspect.
It runs Android 10 Go Edition, which I really don't like. Ideally I'd like to install a fully-fledged version of Android. To this end I've managed to unlock the bootloader, and now require a (stock) Android 10 image. Failing that, even just the right boot image for rooting (I've tried Kingoroot - no luck).. But after searching the web I can't find anything for this model of phone. Given its generic hardware, is it possible to use an image made for other devices?
Specs:
Android v10 (Q)
Quad core, 1.8 GHz, Cortex A53 processor
MediaTek Helio A20 Chipset
2 GB RAM
32 GB internal storage
Hi.
I might have an idea on how you could go about this.
Don't get me wrong: I'm not a tech guru but the info I have should be able to get you what you want.
I got most of these info because of my desperation for optimization when I owned a potato (Infinix Smart 3). It literally had no Dev support, even in XDA. My recent phone has no support either but it's smooth enough for me so I'll just share my knowledge with you!
First, I'll advice you to backup your stock ROM. Have you heard of Wwr MTK? Or SP flash tool? These are the Mediatek tools you'll need to backup your stock images. JSYK your processor, Helio A20, is codenamed MT6761D. That'll come in handy!
Use this video to learn more on how to use them:
And please I'll have to beg you not to use Kingoroot. It's a very dated root method so I'll advice you to use Magisk. Here (https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk), you'll get all the info you'll need to install Magisk.
Also, if you're looking for a stable custom ROM to use, you can use Android 10 or Android 11 GSI system image from XDA recognised Phh. Find them here( https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases)
Also, if you want to have the same experience as on Google Pixel devices, you could also use Pixel Experience or Pixel Experience+ GSIs. Find them here (https://github.com/ponces/treble_build_pe/releases)
If you run into any issues, you could contact me on WhatsApp (https://wa.me/2348107260090)
Or Telegram (https://t.me/si_nach) or just search @si_nach
Hope this helps! Have Fun!
Awesome! Thank you! I'm going to give it a go in the next few days and will update with the results. Much appreciated

Looking for working 64bit ROM for AllWinner H313/H616/H618

Hey guys,
I’m looking for a stock or pre-rooted 64bit ROM for any one of these 3 Allwinner chipsets for android Tv boxes.
H313
H616
H618
I’ve searched XDA as well as searched everywhere I know to look and I can’t find any custom or stock ROMs available for what I’m in need of. If anyone has one or knows of a post I might have overlooked please link below if possible. I have a 32bit rooted H313 that I’m trying to either make my own custom rom for or hopefully find an existing one I can build off of or anything. The ATV I’m working with is a X96Q pro android 10 4/16gb the ones I have come pre-rooted but as stated with a 32bit ROM. But I’d like to update to 64 if possible. Thanks guys
Here.... you will find what you need.......

Hi, not sure the firmwares there are for 64bit...
My logic... I cannot install the arm64-v8a version of the Kodi apk. (not sure there's any sense on this logic - eager to understand if not)
My believe is the 64bit manages the memory more efficiently.
Thanks
[hope the threat is appropiate]
