Hey all. P8 lite display and touch cracked. I need photos from this device. But I can't do anything because I must to choose (when connected device on pc) debug or file transfer.
Any idea? Some software to do backup without unlock device?
Do not want to repair because it is cheaper to buy a new device. I don't want to lose family photos because it's memorable
Thanks

sounds pretty strange^^
cause if the family photos are that important for you then just repaire the damn screen xD
the display just cost 20-25€ on ebay so its not that much money for important family pictures^^
but to answer your question...no there is no way to get access to the device in this state (and that's just as well)

Hey folks, so I have a random curiosity question. I am a bit of a noob, although I have rooted my HTC dream and installed roms, updated my HP iPaq to a newer Rom etc.... so I understand a good chunk of what to do.
My project/question? I have an old "bricked" (I guess, it gives an error upon loading) Brada brand (some house brand from the Brick here in Canada) GPS unit.
It has a large touch screen and I thought it would be fun to have a windows system on it, or even convert it to an external LCD for my DSLR for video shooting (bigger screen for live view).
My question is, how would I go about reflashing it/installing a new rom on it? Just a basic windows mobile system that would allow the use of the AV in signal, and maybe some windows mobile media player or whatnot.
What I know about it off the top of my head: It runs windows CE 4.2 I believe, has an internal CF card, and windows mobile center recognizes it on Vista (I can access files and transfer files).
I don't know what info you would need to help me out, but please ask and I will answer!
I guess its sort of a dumb idea...I'd be better off buying a new tablet and hooking that up with a new cable.....but then again, I have this lying around and wouldn't want to waste it, since it DOES have a good screen!
If its a stupid plan and not worth my effort, PLEASE STOP ME NOW. If I am going to be wasting my time, I'd rather just save up some money and buy some knock off tablet to use as an external screen, or even buy a REAL tablet for live shooting.
This is just for fun to see if I can put a new ROM on it!
Hello Guys!.:crying:
today my galaxy s3's screen broke and has a password on it and all i need is my music that was download to it by me.
If anyone can help me with a program or a tip that i can remove my music from it without having to buy a new screen i will pay them 60$.
Paypal or whatever. If there is any program that can control your phone i will be happy.
Don't forget it has a password on it.

You will need other s3 device with the screen ok. Remove the back panel on both devices (few screws need to be removed), disconnect the display on the broken unit and connect the display of the new unit to the broken unit. This will allow you to log in and do what you need to do [backup, reset, etc.]
Couldn't you just connect to it via adb and pull any files you need from it?
Did you have a samsumg Account? If so, you can use it to unlock the screen so you can use the USB connection.

Connect it to your pc via USB cable and then you have the option to use your storage ( even with locked screen ) so you can pull out your music. It is simple as that.
I have a damaged LCD in my old HTC pico, which is foolish to fix now. As the price for fixing it can easily buy me a new lenovo. Is there any way to convert it to something else or at least use it by connecting it to my PC, TV etc. Any ideas?
Yes if it supports mhl ( see internet about MHL) SO U CAN CONNECT. DONT UNPLUG OR REMOVE the lcd. Let it there. And try to start it up. If while bootloading you hear any music or something.... Dude it is working fine or else there is china touchscreen at 1/6 rate of htc original. Find it on ebay cuz in our country local repairmen ask "do you want cheapest-worst touch,
Moderate- good touch but not so much
Best- expensive and superior"
Just dont lose hop or sell it in parts or try to connect it with "arduino" or beaglebone for robotics project
Hello guys, i have a few question that i would like to ask.
My boss is considering S8 as his new phone and he need to know about device security.
1.If you encrypt device how tough it is for police to open it?
No criminal activity done but police is part of the fight between companies. And it is the cheapest fighting method.
2.Is it possible to wire the phone without hardware mod?
Like for example using some sort of wireless method or wireless activation of cam or microphone?
3.If i turn on wipe device after 10 bad password attempts is it wiped completely without any possible way of recovery?
There will be no SD card used. Only internal memory.
4.What is safer? S8 or iPhone 7 Plus
5.Can there be software sent and installed to phone without user interaction?
Thank you so much for your answers.
Hi guys!
Created an account so I could ask everyone for some help with my NEXUS 4. A part of the screen has been unresponsive since this morning because of that I am unable to unlock the phone using pattern. I have been meaning to buy a new phone but I need the photos and videos to be recovered from the current one.
When I plug the phone onto my PC using the USB cable, the phone shows up as a portable device instead of NEXUS 4 storage which leads me to believe the either the USB debugging is off OR the phone needs to be unlocked for it to show up as a storage. Therefore, I am also unable to recover the data that way. I have contacted google regarding this they put me through to LG and neither of them was able to help me with this situation.
So, Is there any other way I am able to recover the data from the phone? Please let me know and thank you all so much in advance.
what windows system ?
If 8 or plus, maybe using a windows 7 desktop
