Dasaita px6 Max10 brightness - Android Head-Units

Hello, I have a Dasaita max10 and recently I updated apps from the Google playstore.
I use Agama car launcher.
I have dcmu 3.75 and HA3_rk3399_10.0_ota(20210722).zip installed.
Recently when some apps are started, the brightness is set to 100% and after some time the screen starts flickering. This is a known issue with the max10. The brightness is set to 75% during the day and 30% during the night in Agama. This is overruled by the app that is started (standard radio app for instance).
When I set the brightness back to 80% the unit functions fine.
After I start the app again the brightess is back at 100%.
Tried to clear the cache of the frequently used apps (agama, radio etc) but this did not resolve the issue.
Is anybody experiencing this too or does anyone have a resolution for this problem ?

Not Android Auto
Requested moderator move to MTCD forum as unit being HA is likely MTCD type.

New Joying Unit... some advise please

Hello Everyone
First Id like to thank everyone who posts here - as it has helped me decide what HU to buy based on various feedbacks/modifications possible/etc..
I recently bought a Joying UMS01N2 unit - 7" single din unit with 2GB RAM running 6.0... I just took it out of the box and have got it running for the first time... nothing modified, nothing added - just a new factory unit for now...
I would like your advise on what mods to do / apps to use / launchers to use - with the caveat that I can follow instructions really well, but am not familiar with android settings/mods/hacks/etc...
My goal is to have: Google Maps, FM, Reverse Camera, Music (off SD card/USB), Torque, Phone/BT - don't really need anything else for now
I live in Dubai where temps are usually 30 in winter and 45 in summer - so I would assume a heatsink mod is beneficial
So my questions:
Should I root?
What is the best way to remove bloatware apps Joying supplies and only have the above required apps working?
I really like the Car Launcher AG - is it supported on this unit?
I will be running RCA audio out to an external amp which will feed the speakers... so any audio mods necessary?
Thank you in advance!
I'm in favor of Nova Launcher, it's like the old CyanogenMod launcher but much more customizable. I've bought the pro version, which unlocks extra settings. I'd suggest you experiment with it in your phone or tablet first, then put on the radio second.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...s/joying-extra-tools-apk-apk-to-help-t3628200 Look into the Joying Extra Tools here, so you can get going with root.
After root access, you should install FDroid ( https://f-droid.org/ ) and next AdAway. Run AdAway & then reboot.
If you really want to streamline some apps after install, get going with BusyBox & LuckyPatcher.
I'd then suggest some other apps for music and audiobooks. PlayerPro is nice, MortPlayer is good as well. Offline Maps & Navigation is a must.
Thank You!
So I rooted the unit... updated the SU/Busybox and installed Viper4Android...
Few small issues: I was trying out the monitor temp app, and I cannot read the entire page - the bottom is cut off and there is no scroll bar... any advise for this?
Also, I have the unit in my room with AC on - ambient temp is 26C... unit at startup (within 2 min of startup) was at 50C, and went up to 70C in about 10 min... I have not done any heat sink mods, and during these 10 min I did nothing - no radio, no music, no apps used, etc.. just watched the temps... is that normal?

Which monitor temp app? The one integrated in my JET app which I assume you used for installing su, busybox and v4a?
Do you have a 1024*600 resolution? I assume your UMS01N2 unit has based on the carjoying site
Did you change the DPI?
If you do mean another temp app, then please specify.
Car Launcher AG works just fine on mine Joying JY-VM130N2D.

PX5 (MTCE KSP 2.81e1 4/64 8 core, rav4) - problems/rom update?

Hi all!
I've encountered several problems with my unit. Hence, the most important question:
Could you help me please to point out the most up-to-date ROM I can update to? I get lost in all threads and I'm not sure which one is correct specs:
Px5, MTCE KSP 2.81e1
4gb ram, 64 bit, 8 cores cortex a53
And 8 now I guess
Rav4 2008 use version
Current compilation: px5-userdebug 8.0.0 OPR5 170623.007 eng.hct.20180418.100720 test-keys
If cannot update, I have some sever problems, listed in priority order, maybe someone will be able to help me:
1. Litteraly yesterday some buttons stopped working. Physical buttons are fine, checked factory settings, mapping is correct and reporting. Nevertheless, screen home button, app switch, settings and probably more are not working, so the physical mapping for these is also down. Moreover, back/next buttons are working only in some apps (e.g. working in radio app, but not working in youtube). No idea what has happened...
2. Apps updates stopped working. Cannot update any app. I suppose it is somehow connected with the first problem.
3. Cannot connect to Wi-Fi network on cold car. There was somewhere thread about it, however, the temperature reason was debunked as far as I remember... but then again, if car is cold I need to restart several times and when heated enough it connects with no problem. Pretty sure it is temperature connected, as during the summer it was way faster to make it work, sometimes even without restart. Additional info: when cannot connect, the Wi-Fi switch in top bar is simply not responding, cannot toggle on.
If someone can help my I can donate a beer or something... I'm on the verge of ripping the device out of the car...
did you find anything? I have an MTCE KSP2 with mcu V3 and android 9 and I don't have any clues where to go

I hit the latest oreo rom from malaysk (3.5), working just fine. Resolved problem with revers camera freezing, other problems still persist (total freez from time to time, wifi on cold disabled, crashing apps from time to time - I guess it is more hardwae problem than system)

Android Radio doesn't work in background

I have a 10' Seicane Android 10 head unit for Toyota Hiace. The unit works quite good but has an issue with Radio stopping playing when an Android app like Google Chrome is started. The settings in the unit is very scarse. I downloaded an app that allows access to hidden settings and I allowed Radio to work in background (not managed for battery optimisation). The app stays open, I can switch to it and it starts playing again but it stops playing as noon as I change to Google Chrome again.
I have the same issue. I have to leave radio app open to listen to radio. Cant even go to Navigations.

Sleep Mode in V1Pro 4Gb 64Gb 8 Core

Hello!
I have purchased a V1 Pro 8 Core 4Gb 64Gb with 8259 processor. But it is very slow when starting, so I have activated the "Sleep Mode" option that means that when the vehicle starts the equipment is already on the launch screen (I have put agama car launcher), but I'm afraid that the battery of the vehicle will run out. The question is, does anyone of you have this option activated for a long time? Have you noticed a worrying battery consumption? Is there a risk of running out of battery by activating this option?
Thank you

Don't have trouble using sleep mode. After four days the head unit shuts down to prevent draining of the cars battery.
The sleep mode is implemented aggressively and an app preventing the heat unit from sleep will be killed.

Should that be the same for a V1 2Gb 32Gb model? Or is there any difference?
Unfortunately, the forum crystal ball doesnt know what you unit is and from the hundreds of made up models and brands, the seller could be selling units of different types, from different factories, despite branding with the same model name.
There are are a small number of active members in these forums, you want to be posting in a way that helps those people help you, they're likely tired of answering the same questions for new users that join, get the answer (often unanswered) and then leave.
Post screenshots from Android system information, including the MCU version when posting questions. Doing this will at least help others help you, or you might find the information has already been posted or discussed here, yourself.

Android 10 SPRD head unit

Hi guys I'm new on here, i do apologise if i have posted on the wrong area , i have a Chinese 10.1 inch android SPRD head unit with android 10 installed. I have fallen out with the guy i bought it off as there was a lot of miss advertisements on advert which did not match when i got the unit.
However thats another story and wont get into it, what i want to know and if anyone can help me i will really appreciate it as iv tried everything and getting no where. So here are my problems :-
1, Upgrading android 10 to android 11.. there seems to be no menu that has the upgrade option, so how can i upgrade to android 11 or twelve? And How do i upgrade mcu version?
2, im having problems with GPS when car is on i loose gps signal to like half of one bar.. when car/ignition is turned off GPS comes alive and get good signal and catches satellites.. what does this happen? Whats the solution?
3, i cant change the icons on home screen, cant change/add on tool bar, no bluetooth button to turn on and off on bar on top of screen.. but blue tooth is there works fine when connecting phone and bluetooth icon shows on top bar when connected..
4, the android version seems very limited on this unit, even in developer settings there dont seem to be many adjustments options to turn on or off.. i have a meter display shows cars rom gauge and speedometer its all im KM and there is no options anywhere to change this..
5, system does not shut down when car ignition goes off, i have to manually shut it down, even tho in settings its set to shut down when acc off! Any suggestions?
I have attached pictures of GPS ignition off and one of ignition on.. also all the build software info pictures too..
Any help would be appreciated
You have an UIS7862-based FYT unit. Pretty common and there's a dedicated thread with plenty of info. Now, for your questions:
1. There is no (real) Android 11 or 12 for these units.
2. Change the location of the GPS antenna. Radio works OK when car is on?
3+4. Get a different launcher and/or custom ROM. Launchers here
5. did you change that in factory settings? If you did then you probably have an error in wiring.
Also, this post should be moved to the FYT Android Head Units area

Hi firstly thank you so much for your response and information.
1. mine has android 10 loaded.. but have seen others with android 11 and layout set up different to mine. Mine was supposed to be 11 setup but in a nutshell wasnt sold what was advertised. :/ so i would like to load android 11 on at least, i assume there is a way to do this?
2, i have changed location tried behind dash tried on top of dash tried even dangling it out the pan roof but same problem when ignition off gps signal goes up, soon as ignition on or car started signal drops to 1 satellite. Yes everything else works fine just gps problem.
3-4 i will have a look at what you have sent.
5, yes there is two options one for putting unit to sleep and other to turn off unit when ACC is off.. but it doesn't turn it off i have to manually turn it off
Any more help advice would be great thank you.. ps i will put this post on where you have said.
Thanks again

What you have seen is the ability to fake the android versions. The chinese seller use the ability quite often. They fake CPU specs, ram amount, software versions and other things... There are some apps out there, that can proof those fakes. So, there is no android 11 or 12 for your device. It's just all android 10.
