Sleep Mode in V1Pro 4Gb 64Gb 8 Core - Android Head-Units

Hello!
I have purchased a V1 Pro 8 Core 4Gb 64Gb with 8259 processor. But it is very slow when starting, so I have activated the "Sleep Mode" option that means that when the vehicle starts the equipment is already on the launch screen (I have put agama car launcher), but I'm afraid that the battery of the vehicle will run out. The question is, does anyone of you have this option activated for a long time? Have you noticed a worrying battery consumption? Is there a risk of running out of battery by activating this option?
Thank you

Don't have trouble using sleep mode. After four days the head unit shuts down to prevent draining of the cars battery.
The sleep mode is implemented aggressively and an app preventing the heat unit from sleep will be killed.

Should that be the same for a V1 2Gb 32Gb model? Or is there any difference?

Unfortunately, the forum crystal ball doesnt know what you unit is and from the hundreds of made up models and brands, the seller could be selling units of different types, from different factories, despite branding with the same model name.
There are are a small number of active members in these forums, you want to be posting in a way that helps those people help you, they're likely tired of answering the same questions for new users that join, get the answer (often unanswered) and then leave.
Post screenshots from Android system information, including the MCU version when posting questions. Doing this will at least help others help you, or you might find the information has already been posted or discussed here, yourself.

Sleep on power removed

I'm planning on installing my Flo Nexus in my car to replace the outdated stock navigation system. I was quite interested in Timur's USB ROM but it doesn't support Flo and doesn't look like he'll be adding it after cancelling the indiegogo campaign he started to fund it.
I've spent some time searching and looking at the different kernels and roms available, and for now am running ElementalX 1.7beta with an older CM nightly.
I think this meets most of my needs, but I have one little nitpick - is there anything out there that separates the "Wake on plug" action into two separate functions? I'd like the screen to wake up when power is applied, but not when power is removed as this is going to leave the screen on when I get out of the vehicle. Ideally when power is removed I'd like it to go to deep sleep immediately.
Thanks.
I've never used the app Tasker. But isn't that what people use when trying to accomplish that?

I've used tasker for different things, but have found it unreliable when it came to power events, at least in the past. I'll definitely give it a shot and see how it works for this scenario. Thanks for reminding me.
Any other suggestions out there in case Tasker doesn't do the trick, or other votes for Tasker?
I got an app called "Caffine" which keeps the screen on while plugged in/charging, and when I turn the car off I set the backlight to 15 seconds, that way it sleeps after 15 seconds. Works great.
If you don't mind me asking, how are you installing the tablet into your car?

I have an '06 Acura TL with OEM Navi system. I'm having a car audio shop relocate the navi screen (as it's tied to climate functions but I don't need to see it) and they're putting the tablet in its place. The goal is to have things looking stock while be far from it.

How much are they charging you? Is it a common audio shop?

It's part of a complete stereo install I'm doing, and it's not cheap although it's not rip-off expensive either. I chose them because they are capable of doing good fabrication work and are going to need to put something together to hold the tablet securely in place behind the stock bezel.
Just wanted to update for people to know what I did. Tasker was the way to go to get exactly what I want, but I needed to add the Secure Settings plugin as well. With that plugin I was able to immediately turn on the screen when power is applied, as well as shut off the screen immediately when power is removed.
I've also attached other bits to these profiles, such as adjusting the CPU clock and disabling wifi/bluetooth when the screen is off. At this point I'm losing less than 10% battery for 24 hours of sleep, which is pretty good although I'd like to see if I can find any improvements. We'll see!

Instant boot android systems? FlyAudio?

Hi,
I have one very important request when looking for a new head unit.
I have a VW Tiguan, and with some searching I found a russian head unit called FlyAudio G7007F09.
More info here: https://www.drive2.ru/l/4990455/ (in russian).
Also check this boot comparison:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJfV2GILD5A
How does that work, how is it possible to boot up in 2 sec while everyone else is about 20 secs?
Is there an internal battery?
Can't find much info about this unit, and I want to know more, because it looks interesting.
Also found this video of it in action:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEvS6SMLegE
Does anyone know of any more android head units that boot up instantly?
Thank you!
How do you know that unit wasn't just "sleeping?" Mine will do that - sleep for 5 minutes after being shut down, and come back in a couple of seconds. If it's off for more than 5 minutes, then it does a full boot. Some firmware/MCU combinations let you set that up to 2 hours.

I don't know, but why would they do a comparison if it were just sleeping?
That is why im asking, on the review page I posted (in russian) it does say something about instant boot, but can't really understand it as google translate is pretty bad on russian language.

Really? You don't think they might want to make their product look better so they can sell more?
This thing really works very well. I've purchased FlyAudio G9 series.
I've tested its boot time after a week of not using my car (that was a pretty cold week from -15 to -25 celcius): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQLcVI7D890 (In Russian)
As far as I understand FlyAudio uses Quallcomm's fastboot feature (since it is based on Quallcomm 80x SoC). Device goes to a deep sleeping mode and consumes circa 2mA/h which is basically nothing. In my case it was in sleeping mode for a week and launched during 2-3 seconds.
P.S. This is not a Russian but a Chineese head unit (http://flyaudio.cn/)

What unit should I replace my S160 with?

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and just recently went into the world of Android Head Units.
I few months ago I bought a S160 Android Head Unit (4.4.4) and even though it works ok, I find it super slow and one of my main issues is that you can't run Google Maps properly because it makes it absurdly slow (I assume its due to the fact it only has 1GB of memory)
Now I'm looking to potentially replace my S160 with another unit that is quicker. I've seen the newly released S190 but also heard about PX3, PX5 which I admit I don't fully know the difference.
Main needs for me in the main unit would be:
1. Be quick enough to be able to run google maps and other Android apps (Google play music, YT etc)
2. Improved boot time -- sleep option would be a plus
3. Have proper support/documentation to keep it running for a long time
Any units currently in the market that would be certain upgrade from the S160 and would have the requirements above?
Thanks!
I've got the s190 and love it
I tested so many sat have including Google, and not one of them is slow, at all
Also I put my unit into "auto sleep" which draws 9mA, which is hardly anything, and it powers on straight away, no waiting time or boot loading

Can you share the link from where you bought yours? I've seen multiple sites selling the S190 and different specs.
Thanks!

Joying sleep problems - any suggestions?

I have a Joying unit that has stopped going into sleep mode and instead shuts down when the ignition is turned off. It was working fine until, possibly coincidentally, I upgraded my rear speakers.
I'm running gtxaspec's most recent firmware, but the problem occurred when I was on original firmware.
Interestingly, the unit was taking around 5 minutes to shutdown until I turned on the NoKill mod and it now shuts down straight away. This seems to prove that there is no issue with the car providing power and would further suggest that the unit is "deciding" to shut down. If that is true, I wonder if I can persuade it to reconsider somehow.
Prior to installing the NoKill mod, I "watched" it shutdown with the lid off of the unit. There is a flashing led that stays flashing until the shutdown. Also, just after it shuts down, the big black capacitor "sings" for a couple of seconds. Is that normal?
Do any of the experts on here have any advice as to how I could troubleshot this further? I'm very familiar with the adb command line and I'm a programmer for a living, so quite capable of manipulating the results.

This Xposed module skips the SofiaServer "kill all apps" when going to sleep. This should replace the old nokill mod from Gustden.
Note: Some apps prevent the unit from going into deep-sleep. The old SofiaServer simply killed these apps. This module doesn't do that. The MCU detects the apps keeping the CPU cores at higher frequency and can completely switch off the unit, resulting in a cold-boot upon switching on the contact. That is not the fault of this module. It is the fault of these bad behaving apps.

Thanks for also pointing myself to this. Your answer is correct, but I thought I had corrected the text on all places, but obviously not here. It should be:

Note: Some apps prevent the unit from going into deep-sleep by setting a "wakelock". The old SofiaServer simply killed these apps. This module doesn't do that. Android 10 SPRD head unit

Hi guys I'm new on here, i do apologise if i have posted on the wrong area , i have a Chinese 10.1 inch android SPRD head unit with android 10 installed. I have fallen out with the guy i bought it off as there was a lot of miss advertisements on advert which did not match when i got the unit.
However thats another story and wont get into it, what i want to know and if anyone can help me i will really appreciate it as iv tried everything and getting no where. So here are my problems :-
1, Upgrading android 10 to android 11.. there seems to be no menu that has the upgrade option, so how can i upgrade to android 11 or twelve? And How do i upgrade mcu version?
2, im having problems with GPS when car is on i loose gps signal to like half of one bar.. when car/ignition is turned off GPS comes alive and get good signal and catches satellites.. what does this happen? Whats the solution?
3, i cant change the icons on home screen, cant change/add on tool bar, no bluetooth button to turn on and off on bar on top of screen.. but blue tooth is there works fine when connecting phone and bluetooth icon shows on top bar when connected..
4, the android version seems very limited on this unit, even in developer settings there dont seem to be many adjustments options to turn on or off.. i have a meter display shows cars rom gauge and speedometer its all im KM and there is no options anywhere to change this..
5, system does not shut down when car ignition goes off, i have to manually shut it down, even tho in settings its set to shut down when acc off! Any suggestions?
I have attached pictures of GPS ignition off and one of ignition on.. also all the build software info pictures too..
Any help would be appreciated
You have an UIS7862-based FYT unit. Pretty common and there's a dedicated thread with plenty of info. Now, for your questions:
1. There is no (real) Android 11 or 12 for these units.
2. Change the location of the GPS antenna. Radio works OK when car is on?
3+4. Get a different launcher and/or custom ROM. Launchers here
5. did you change that in factory settings? If you did then you probably have an error in wiring.
Also, this post should be moved to the FYT Android Head Units area

Hi firstly thank you so much for your response and information.
1. mine has android 10 loaded.. but have seen others with android 11 and layout set up different to mine. Mine was supposed to be 11 setup but in a nutshell wasnt sold what was advertised. :/ so i would like to load android 11 on at least, i assume there is a way to do this?
2, i have changed location tried behind dash tried on top of dash tried even dangling it out the pan roof but same problem when ignition off gps signal goes up, soon as ignition on or car started signal drops to 1 satellite. Yes everything else works fine just gps problem.
3-4 i will have a look at what you have sent.
5, yes there is two options one for putting unit to sleep and other to turn off unit when ACC is off.. but it doesn't turn it off i have to manually turn it off
Any more help advice would be great thank you.. ps i will put this post on where you have said.
Thanks again

What you have seen is the ability to fake the android versions. The chinese seller use the ability quite often. They fake CPU specs, ram amount, software versions and other things... There are some apps out there, that can proof those fakes. So, there is no android 11 or 12 for your device. It's just all android 10.
