Teyes CC3 for Mazda CX-5 DAB radio - Android Head-Units

Hi. I have a question which nobody can answer me about DAB radio in Mazda CX-5 2016 (1gen. facelift). I have original DAB antenna in the car and I'm trying to figure it out is it possible to connect it to Teyes CC3 HU or do I need to buy DAB+ adapter (they're selling it). If I need this adapter is it possible not to have it on my windshield and use the original one antenna?
Hope to find someone who wants not just to sell everything without tech support
Thanks

OEM GPS Antenna on Android Headunit (Joying)

Hello,
My new 2GB RAM with the Intel SoFIA CPU will be delivered at the end of this week. I am going to install it in my 2010 Subaru WRX STI which already has a GPS Antenna installed (which has worked very well with stock and other aftermarket units).
Unfortunately the connector of the OEM GPS Antenna is quite different from the connection on my soon to arrive Joying unit. I was therefore wondering if it is possible to connect my OEM GPS Antenna using an adapter cable similar to this:
car-solutions.com/nfs/product/832612/image/800/Adapter-for-OEM-GPS-Antenna-Connection-in-Toyota-Lexus-Subaru-Mazda.jpg (sorry not able to post outside links yet)
Has anybody tried this or does anybody know if this could even technically work?
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Robert
You get a antenna with the unit right? {EDIT} Sorry, i see you want your own working, but i can garanty you the gps antenna that comes with it is fine!
i used this adapter for my Jeep to Joying:

works great

Yeah, you get an antenna with the unit and I have already hooked it up for testing and as you say it works. Using the original one is a lot more neat and tidy

Thanks, I have ordered an GT5-1PP M grey to SMA male adapter cable from eBay. Hope it fits as I am not a 100% sure if this is the right connector, closest thing I could find though. :good:

Replacing 2014 Corolla S head unit

I'm in the market for an android head unit. The OEM one in my car is now not working and Toyota wants an arm and a leg for a new one. Instead of just buying an OEM one off EBay. I wanted to buy an Android one. Any suggestions? Also I had a few questions.
I had GPS in my car, so do I need to still use the external GPS antenna?
I have the same question for the microphone. Less wired the better.
Thanks!

1. I used the one that came with the replacement HU, but you could try an fakra adapter. If you dont know what that is, best use GPS antenna that comes with replacement; concealed under dash should be sufficient .
2. Yes, if you are skilled or have access to a skilled electronics tech. No adapter exists. Starts with reverse engineering from toyota electrical wiring diagram.
For my 2010 Blade (corolla hatch with 3.5l v6) I made an interface for the oem MIC and used the GPS that came with the new MTCD JY.
Anyone have an idea what port #8 in this picture is? There was an adapter that has a male usb end and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to plug it in anywhere?

Suggest dab aerial please

Just installed dab dongle to usb on car head. Dab reception poor [my work car has got factory dab and perfect dab signal]so it can’t be the area. I don’t mind paying for a good glass aerial as the one that comes with dongle must be poor quality,,,lcheers
Whats the make and model of your car ?
All sorted now,I ditched the Chinese junk and purchased a Kenwood 7017 dabs and glass mount ,,,no drop out whatsoever ,perfect Thanks anyway
By the way the car is a Kia Sportage

(Pioneer) Avic to Xtrons GPS (Fakra?)

I recently got the Xtrons TE706PL in my car, however I didn't build in the GPS unit yet.
This is because I already have a Pioneer GPS Antenna installed (JVC Headunit), however this is using the Pioneer AVIC connector. Does anyone know if it's possible to convert the Pioneer AVIC to the Fakra connector? This safes me a lot of trouble
Impossible?

That's was one of adapters i found in 2 seconds google search, with little time for sure you can find a solution that suit you; they cost little money so you can buy and test by yourself.
Have a nice day!

If you not find something usefull you can always buy a small piece of 50 ohms coaxial cable, 1 fakra and 1 avic connector and crimp together, maybe the cheap solution

If you can't find a head unit of a known brand you can buy such a frame with harness for your car and a 9 inch head unit separately.
Best start is to search for the pinout description of your current OEM radio. Because this gives you the possibility to validate the connections and to check if your cars SWC is a resistant matrix. Additonally it helps to use an existing reverse camera.
This can be done before you invest money.
If your SWC it is a resistance matrix you can directly connect the head unit and use the learn functionality to map your SWC buttons to different functions.
If you already have a reverse camera and you want to continue to use it you have to connect it by yourself. E.g. by finding a prepared adapter or by creating your own. Here is the description how I realized it for another car - just to give you an idea:
Junsun V1 MTK8259 - the adapter battle (Kia Ceed Jd) / OEM camera usage / reference thread
I bought the Junsun V1 head unit but my Kia Ceed JD had a OEM nav unit which isn't directly compatible to Junsun V1. So I re-wired the wiring harness based on the pins description of my original OEM navigation unit. I'm only modifying the wiring...
forum.xda-developers.com
The head unit sellers estimation is that you start with a stupid radio and so my car, which already had an outdated navigation head unit, was a special case - without a ready to use solution.
And please figure out if you own a Ford Mondeo MK3 or a MK4.
Car is MK4 and as far as I know it has resistant matrix at SWC. I found the same fascia as in picture you sent.
Reason why I wan't to install 9" unit is that I have Junsun V1 Pro from my former car. It would not be very expensive to test how it works, only CanBus decoder and wiring harness needed.

If you don't need CAN features even the decoder isn't needed. And it's better to connect resistant matrix bypassing the can box.

But now I see that you air condition has no separate display. As you know, to get this functionality a can box is required.
