Have tested this on an iPhone and another Android phone (Sammy 10 I think)
1. Take a video with normal OS cam, say 1 min long, 1080p or 4K
2. Upload direct to anyone via WhatsApp.
The upload will be very very slow as if it's a massive video, but it isn't?
Changed from WiFi 2.4GHz to 5GHz, 4G, 5G...
All the same.... This is a first for me, I'm not on Facebook and have very minimal apps, doesn't happen all the time but recently it's been horrific.
Probably just Facebook throttling servers but thought I'd ask as it doesn't appear to happen on the iPhone or Sammy I tested?
Latest OOS 7.7, rooted with stock kernel, no power saving.
PS: telegram, web downloads, email, all yield great results, just WhatsApp.
Anyone else having this?
Cheers

I'm having a small issue with my sound. I'm running CM7.0.0 with the stock kernel. I'm trying to play videos from internet sources (Netflix, Youtube app, and in browser videos) and I keep having the sound skip or stutter. Sometimes it's not real bad like once every 30 or 45 seconds and sometimes it's every 5 or 10. I'm pretty sure it's not just my internet connection cause it did it at home when I was on my home network (whatever the Verizon fiber optic one is called). Any one have ideas on what I can do to fix it or is it a normal expected problem that I just have to deal with?
p.s. I don't have any experience using my own videos so I don't know if they would have the same problem.

It is entirely possible that using an OC (overclocked) kernel would fix your audio stumbling issues, however there is a lot of confusion with kernels right now as our developer is working on a .32 kernel and your version of CM7 requires a .29 kernel. (last updated .29 OC kernel was from 4/24). If you're not entirely sure of what you're doing with switching kernels, just don't do it. Something else you could try instead would be to set your governor on performance while watching video...It will keep your CPU revved up to the max the whole time. Governors are under settings/cyanogenmod settings/performance/cpu settings.
Thanks. I've always used the stock kernels and been fine so I don't really want to mess with that if I don't have to. I'll give the governor settings a try and see if that helps.
Well, that didn't seem to help and then I screwed up something else so it'll be a couple of days til I can really try to fix it. Guess I'll get back to this once it's fixed.
Do you guys get video stuttering on Netflix? It's pretty bad on my tab 4 8.0 to the point of getting a headache. I've tried 2.4 & 5ghz but no change. Battery saver is off. This doesn't happen on any other android devices I own. Even my old tab 2 runs Netflix smoother. Any tips or is this how it is on all tab 4s?
Could someone try Netflix and let me know how it is on your tablet please.
Tested Netflix on my Tab4 8", no problems at all.
Do you experience this stuttering on any other video app?

Tab 7 here. I get a bit of stuttering but rebooted and plays smooth again.
Sent from my SM-T230NU using XDA Free mobile app
I've tried out some other players like mxplayer and also stuff like YouTube and video playback is smooth. It seems to be just Netflix that is having this issue for me. I've restarted and all that but no luck. Netflix is the only one getting this stuttering every few seconds. Real annoying. Not sure why. I've never seen Netflix act like this on any of my devices and other tablets that I currently own.
Try clearing the cache, try reinstalling?
i have the same problem
what i have tried so far:
1. re install firmware using Kies.
2. format cache, factory reset from recovery
3. clear cache, restart app
4. disabled screen mirror, smart stay, palm motion , switched to nova launcher...
5. limit background process, check do not keep activities.
6. disabled power saving.
7. disabled multiwindow.
edit: also tried
8. clear all other apps cache.
9. Turned off all the bloatware.
10. installed task killers, show no process running since they are Turned off.
11 disabled rotation
12. enabled airplane mode
I also noticed movies in SD does not shutter. only the ones in super HD.
don't know what else to try, and i don't want to root and lose warranty.
playing 1080p 60Hz videos shutter a little bit, I'm starting to think that is just that the CPU cant cope with doing many things at the same time like using wireless an decoding video. since day 1, i noticed that while the updates were downloading and installing it became very laggy over all, and I was like, what are 4 cores there for then? its just that its a crappy tablet and that's all.
I've tried a lot of the things above to and Netflix is still having this micro stuttering. I noticed that if I lower the Netflix quality in my settings it will still stutter so it has nothing to do with the tablet not being able to handle high quality. It almost seems like there's a bug on the Netflix side with this tablet that is causing this or something. It's kinda sad that my old tab 2 7.0 Netflix stream is better than this new tab 4. I also have a shield tablet that just blows both these away but that's expected. My wife and daughter use this tab 4 and they watch allot of Netflix on it so I would really like to figure this out. Anyone else have any ideas on what to do or know if there's a bug that needs to be ironed out with Netflix and this tablet. Maybe there's a update from Netflix or Samsung to fix this problem in the future...if they know about it.

I have tried all versions from newest to oldest , one by one, the lastest one that works is 1.8.1,
you can find it here if you want:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjcg471do3xjmak/netflix-1.8.1.apk
disable automatic opdate for it.
After using Galaxy S4 (I9500GT) for almost an year with lollipop, I recently shifted to Note 3 (SM-N9000). As S4 was a perfect companion performance wise, even in Power-Saver, I was expecting Note 3 be atleast the same if not better. However, I am facing a few issues mentioned below:
In Multiwindow mode, the video sometimes lag when I focus on other application. Then I need to restart the phone.
Sometimes while in fullscreen, with no heavy app in background (I play no Asphalt or Modern Warfare), my video starts lagging heavily.
Sometimes there is a slight Audio/Video sync issue.
I do not know what to do. Power-Saver turned off-on-off several times, no positive results.
The same never happened in my S4
NOTE:
I keep on changing ROMs, but I always clear everything and this happened on stock which I flashed through ODIN with "Erase NAND" enabled. So this is always a fresh install.
Please help
Also guide me on one thing. As I have used Samsung for years, I now know which apps to safely disable. On TouchWiz-Lolly, I disable almost 50 apps on my Note 3(like I used to do on my S4). So it is quite lag-free overall(except videos). Now I am getting a SoT of around 6.5-7.5 hours with 30-50% brightness. Disable every useless TouchWiz feature like sensors
I do not use location frequently, and keep switching between WiFi and 2G(Yes, 2G).
Is this battery performance decent, or do I need any more tweaks?
Thank You So Much For Reading
I use nova launcher, its way faster then stock samsuck.
Disable all animation, they add lag.
Video-Use MXplayer with hard acc ON, and same for bsplayer.
Regarding app , you mean unckeck from startup( like msconfig on PC) or disabled from ALL/APP?
From all/app disable only crappware like: yahoo new, bloomberg or something.
On startup app you need to unckeck them, with android tuner. Disable all games, and apps that do not need them in memory ram.
Even my tegra 2 asus sl101 tablet get some lag on video , but with hardware acc ON is quite ok.
My n9005 with lollipop is identical with wife n9005( 4.3 android) except one: lollipop start videos faster, in any video app.
Disabled from All Apps
I'm on Dtux Corp v7.5 had issue on 7.2 and on stock firmware on this Note 4 (and my previous one).
Rent a video on Google playstore (even just an SD video) and the framerate is jumpy as hell i'd guess about 12 fps or so and complex scenes choke up the device freezing playback. UI remains responsive and sometimes clicking pause/play or just tapping the screen gets it going. This seems to happen even on downloaded locally cached / offline content. Happens to a lesser degree on Netflix.
I'm on a clean install, on multiple devices, and multiple different firmwares.
Anyone else having these issues? Is it the DRM?
Help greatly appreciated. I've searched and not seen anyone else mentioning this.
+power save is off
+standard kernel
+does not occur on Note 10.1" 2014 version.
Hey all,
This is my first official post despite being a member here for some years and it comes with the unfortunate issue I am experiencing with my PH-1.
I've noticed as I'm using my browser or social apps recently that there is huge lag where images or even text won't load, and I figured maybe it was the wifi. I would then use my LTE connection, and I would still have the same issue. I then tested the down/up rate using speedtest and I can literally see the data staggering and not getting the full down/up rate it should like it's struggling. I still have my other phone (leeco pro 3) on the same wifi running the same test at the same time, and it's fine.
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue and if there's a fix? (Also I have the same apps and setup as my other phone but I'm trying to pinpoint if it's something running that's causing it.)
Oh, also I'm on stock with latest update NMJ32F
