So, few days ago i switched phones with my dad, i hard reset my A9 2018 and gave it to him.
And here's the thing, after giving it to my papa, the phone started to freeze in unlock screen. One time it froze for nearly 2 hours, today it happened 5 times, as he told me. Only way to fix it is to enter camera by clicking unlock button 2 times, get out of it, and its working again.
Any help? If yes, big thanks.
It started to happen after the hard reset.

I have owned this since new in Feb. 06. Bought a new battery in August this year as the old one was not holding a long charge. Now in the past couple of weeks....I have the following symptons;
1- Hard to boot up, as in the first blue screen lighting up and then in 5-15 seconds it automatically reboots itself and cycles doing the same thing 3-4 times before shutting down. Sometimes it will get to the 'Mobile' loading screen before doing the same thing. HTC said over the phone that the unit is 'dead'....particularly since we couldn't get it to boot up so that we could do a hard reset. After continuing for the last week to get a hard reset started on power up.....I was able to get it to hard reset yesterday and the phone turned on and everything worked. But then in the middle of my second call using it again...it shut down.
It may take hours to try to get the phone on as it just 'cycles' over and over again trying to boot up. Once in a while it will boot up,...right now it is on.....but I can't rely on it to make a call as it will turn off suddenly.
Is this phone ready for the bone-yard? ....or is there some CPR that can be done?
Oh,....it has the latest ROM from HTC and runs on the original WM5,....no other programs loaded back on it after the hard reset (not that it matters as the phone still has problems turning on and if it gets on....it may randomly shut down
Alright everyone, my G1's touch screen has stopped working. This has happened from time to time, and it works after a usual couple second wait or maybe a shutdown. But this time, it has yet to work after many times of shutting it off, removing the battery, etc. I have tried to hard reset, but always get the same message of "error waiting for notbusy" so i am a bit confused. Please don't tell me I'm going to have to replace.
What ROM are you on? Could be a hardware problem
i was on JF 1.51, but after a call to t-mobile, and about 20 minutes of telling them i've tried hard resetting, i finally got to do the alt+w method, although that did nothing, so they'll be mailing me a replacement.
Hi everybody!
Just got my Leo two days ago and I was bombed. Had a 4350 before and you can imagine what big a difference that is. But now this occured and I really don't know what the heck is going on here. Without any reason the Leo froze after not using it for two hours, just an active sync connec. So I grabbed it and it was frozen. Thus i did a soft reset. When it rebooted, for some reason it seemed like the first time I started the device, asked me for the time and google settings etc. Very confused. But then I came to the Homescreen, which was blank, just like after a hard reset. Ok, I thought. This is nasty but all my stuff was backed up, so what. I tried to switch to the settings panel and found it ultra super slow and the settings panel wouldn't even appear on the screen, just the title on top. I thought, this is wrong, very wrong and decieded for another soft reset. And now it won't boot at all. It stands still in the screen where it shows this pink circle and the RUU and whatnot version.
I am speechless. It just doesn't start, tried it like 4 times now. I didn't update RUU or anything since this thing is T-Mobile branded and it wouldn't let me. I tried it this morning but just got the error in windows that my device won't allow... After that I took it for a 3 hour ride outside and used it for like 10 more hours. And now this!
Has this ever occured to anyone else around here?
Any suggestions? I'm quiet angry right now, think I gonna return it tomorrow. Hopefully they don't say I tried to flash it or whatever since I did not. Cannot explain this to me.

hi sounds like bad news have you tried a hard reset
Do a hard reset, press the up and down volume then at the same time press the power button. Keep all three pressed for about three seconds and a hard reset will start. If it happens again you have a faulty device.
I thought a hard reset is only possible in windows. Since I never come so far in booting process, I just tried it once but nothing happend. Not sure if I tried it for 3 seconds I assume I did

Click to collapse
Take the battery out then put it back in. Once it's in press all three buttons at once until you see the hard reset begin. It will ask you to confirm by pressing the up volume button.
Oh boy! It started again! I thought I tried to hard reset it with the key combo you also adviced me and nothing happened but this time it worked. Thus I assumed it only works at a later point in the boot process. But thanks for showing me the opposite!
Man, this takes a load off my mind, thanks! Just hope this was a one time thingy and doesn't occur every 28 hours again.

Hi guys.
I have a replacement screen on my N4 and it has worked just fine.
After upgrading to lollipop, I decided to encrypt my device.
When booting the phone, I could get past the decrypt view just fine but once it loaded the launcher, the first finger on the screen was not recognized. i.e if I put 2 fingers on the screen the second one would be recognized, if I put 3 fingers, then the last 2 fingers would be recognized.
I restated my device numerous times and every time the same issue.
Did a factory reset. Everything worked fine again.
Tried to encrypt once more, the exact same thing...
Does anyone know a solution to this?
Hi,
I bought Lenovo Zuk Z1 from the first flash sale in India on 19th May, 2016.
After a call, the touch screen gets frozen completely and I have to restart every time when this happens. At this time, the buttons do work, but the touch screen doesn't respond and there is no way to get out of there except restarted it by pressing the power+volume up+volume down buttons together.
I was looking for any system updates but they weren't there.
This has happened 5-6 times with me till now. Have given the phone for replacement. Hoping that the same issue wouldn't occur with the replaced one.
