After successfully spoofing my position I can't make my GPS to work normally again; the GPS icon appears in the status bar but it doesn't detect my location, doesn't matter how long I wait.
A-GPS, WLAN/Bluetooth scanning and Google location accuracy are all disabled before, during and after the spoofing.
I'm on MIUI by xiaomi.eu 11.0.6 stable (QFJCNXM).
Go to developer options, turn off gps spoofing

On this miui version there isn't an option for turning GPS spoofing off, closest thing is just selecting "nothing" in the "Select mock location app" section, which I had already done.
The fastest way is to reset, if you tried everything
I've actually installed another rom (pixel experience, whose thread is the most viewed for this phone on this forum), so I had to wipe everything and also format data but gps still can't find my position, without wireless/network scanning lol... What the hell... Before spoofing it worked perfectly and quickly

On my Note-2 (Android 4.1.2) I had two apps that worked properly to toggle (disable/re-enable) the Lock-Screen function. They are [SwitchPro Widget] and [Turn Off the Screen by Protoport]. This was handy: I would disable the security feature when I was safely at home, but enable it when I would go out to public places.
Sadly, neither of these work on the Note-3 (Android 4.3). I suspect the newer Android version prevents an App from disabling the Lock-Screen.
Does anyone know of an App that can toggle the Lock-Screen state on the Note-3 (Android 4.3)?
I have never been able to reliably do this with any app, even with Root access. In the end, I used Llama to set the password (or PIN) to empty when at home. That way I get a 'swipe' screen only. When out, I get a PIN. In my case, I even set it to something you just cannot set using Android, so it is even more secure (I believe).
Not ideal, but it works very reliably, and even without root.

Came across your thread and I remembered an app I used on my s3-.- called no lock in the play store so I tried it on my 900t and it works perfectly hour:good: this is what you where looking for..........
I use an app called automagic for it. It's also possible to disable the swipe to unlock screen which I do while connected to my car (Bluetooth)

Your mentioned app, "No Lock, by BoD" doesn't work on Android 4.3. That app hasn't been updated since Sep 2011.

OK, I installed it again just now. Nope, it doesn't work "properly".
It does install. It does run and it does show the toggled states for the widget. I attempt to toggle it, then the widget shows the change. But, the Lock-Screen state remains in its pre-existing state.
In my case, I have Lock-Screen set for Pattern Lock. The setting also has the Lock-Screen (Pattern Lock) appear only if the screen is off for longer than, say 5 seconds. This Android feature works properly, despite the App. The Pattern Lock is not required when I power off-then-on in under the assigned time of 5 seconds. However, the Pattern Lock always appears after the assigned time, regardless of the use of this App.
What I want is the App to disable Pattern Lock while I am at home.
I notice that the App does not appear in the Android permissions, "Device Administrators". Then again, it doesn't show up on my Note-2 installation either, even though the App works on that device.
I would appreciate it if you can give me some insight on how I can get this App to work on my Note-3 ....
Thanks.
Further testing ...
The App (No Lock) does work in one condition: If the Lock-Screen state is set for Swipe-Lock, then the App works properly to enable/disable it.
However, when the Lock-Screen state is set for Pattern-Lock, then the App fails to truly enable/disable it. However, the App's widget does show an indicated change of state (it shows either pad lock open or closed) - but this is an illusion only.

Yeah i just use it to totally Disable the Lock Screen , which it does for me with no issues , i never used any pin or pattern unlock , i did however see something mentioned about that when youu hit help after you hit the menu key , anyway sorry this didn't work for you , but i must thankyou for this thread because it tottaly works for me .....:good:
I use tasker for stuff like this. It works together with secure settings. My home zone is set up to work with cell tower id's. This works for me as my work place is far enough away. In Tasker (or llama or automagic or automateit pro) you can select secure settings as a plugin task. You then just select in secure settings what you want to toggle (swipe, pin or pattern). Some of them require root, though.
Hi,
I've just rooted my n9005 and installed cerberus in system-apps so that it doesn't get wiped out on factory reset. I am using the stock 4.4.2.
1) The problem is that every time I try to track my phone the GPS icon pops up in the notification bar. Moreover, when I roll down the notification bar and press the location tab, it shows some suspicious app trying to get access to the location (System Framework) which may alert the thief. Is there any way to get rid of the location/GPS icon and hide it in the location settings?
2) Is there a way to prevent the thief from flashing a new rom? I remeber reading about some usb-debugging lock but not sure how helpful that would be.
Thanks

Questions should not be posted in General!
Search around about reactivation lock.
Whenever I enable location in settings, it's asking for agree, disagree it's annoying me, is there is any way to agree once for all.?
Also in location settings once enabled first it's going for high accuracy, I wanted to have always on power savings mode whenever I activate location.
I am on UK btu completely stock room.
Thanks

Instead of enabling/disabling location service, you can enabling/disabling GPS. It will not ask for agree/disagree.
How? Latest UK btu rom G1 doesn't have GPS separately, it's have just location

Really?
You can activate/deactivate GPS with only "1 click" by:
- Using notification panel (GPS icon).
- OR Settings > Location services > Use GPS sattelites.
GPS icon was in little older rom, now only location icon in Notification bar

The OP is correct, no separate GPS. This agree/disagree bugs me too, but I grudgingly live with it.
In Location settings, you can choose to use between GPS, GPS+network or only network. Unfortunately, I don't know any way to automate to specific option, GPS + network is being the default one.
Also, the agree/disagree popup can be disabled by using this Xposed module - http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.mohammadag.disablelocationconsent

Yes, there is a solution.
You need Root first.
Then you need Xposed Installer
Then you need this module
Good luck . . .
Hi!
Just flashed the new Open Beta 22 based on Android 9.0. A bit surprised and disappointed to see that there does not seem to have any way to disable the GPS while keeping other location method (Wifi+cellular) activated. All we seem to be able to do is either:
- completely disable location services;
- enable location and enable 'Google Location Accuracy' -- akin to the previous "High accuracy" option from Android 8.1 and previous;
- enable location and disable 'Google Location Accuracy' -- akin to the previous "Device only" option from Android 8.1 and previous.
Is there any way to enable the equivalent of the previous-8.1 "Battery saving" option in Location options, which would allow apps to access location using only wifi+cellular information?
It seems not
Thank you GOOGLE
Anyone found a fix?
Only if you're rooted.. Tasker + secure settings, can still do the trick.
Enable/disable GPS only is possible. For example using a Macrodroid application after enable permission settings via ADB command:
"pm grant com.arlosoft.macrodroid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS". Personally tested and operated.
In my prvious phones, including some lg g-series, there was an option in settings to change the location mode between "high accuracy", "device sensors" and "battery saving"
However, this is not an option under >location in my v35
is it the same for everyone?
is that option somewhere else?

i know where the location settings are, what i'm saying is that there's no option there to switch between the three modes
there's options for bluetooth and wifi scanning, qualcomm izat, and the google location settings
there is no option to only use gps, mobile networks, or both

They are there, but labeled differently in Pie. That's what I'm trying to tell you.
Stop looking for the old option names.
Go to Location.
If you turn Accuracy OFF, then it reverts to GPS only.
