One UI 3.1 result a crash on stock camera - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Some people started seeing this when upgrading to One UI 3.0 but I just noticed the crash when my S10+ (G9750) patched with March 2021 Security update running UI 3.1.
Shooting any photo takes long time to complete refining process and eventually error pop up with "Camera Failed" message. App crashed and restarted itself.
Photos can't properly be saved on phone. Taken photo not found.
No reboot to phone after crash.
So far only Camera app failed to work.
Tried clear cache, data of Camera app and didn't help.

Camera Wont Work After Update

Hi, I have a rooted nexus 4, which I accepted the kitkat update for and as a regrettable result, my phone was stuck in a bootloop.
I eventually saw it as the only solution to wipe my phone, unroot, install the 4.4 from nexus root toolkit, and then re-root, and restore the data I managed to back up.
Everything seems fine, however, my camera won't save images at all. This is the same when it comes to camera applications.
With the nexus 4 camera application, the picture shows and takes, but it just saves as a blank square
With the same application; the video is ready to take, but when I press the record button, it says "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped working"[Report] [OK]
With a custom application I downloaded called Camera 360, the picture takes and edits, but after saving it and going to view it, the thumbnail shows fine, but when you click the thumbnail it says the picture was not found and to delete.
I can take snapshots and send them fine, but can't save them.
On whatsapp, I can take a picture as an attachment and send it straight away before saving, and it sends fine to whoever.
It would seem the issue would lie with pictures saving to the local memory. I've tried rebooting, restarting camera application, clearing data/cache, none of which have made a slight difference.
Any solutions, prefferrably without having to go back and un-root and re-install and everything.
Thanks.

Apps crashing when trying to load web content, Android System Webview problem?

Hi, so I've been having a serious issue with my Oneplus Two that I've been trying to troubleshoot for 2 months now and I feel like I've done everything but still have the issue. Wondering if I can get a second/third opinion or something.
My OS is currently Oxygen 2.2.0.
I've noticed many of my apps very frequently crash to the launcher when attempting to do specific actions. No messages, no "app has stopped responding". Just freeze, then launcher. These actions include:
* Opening an email in gmail
* Searching for something in Google now (what's funny is Google New will respond, and then mid-sentence stop, and boom crash, every time)
* Opening specific pages in the Steam app that looks like it loads web pages in the app?
* Pretty much every time a webpage is loaded in an app.
It doesn't crash every time, but I would say 85% of the time it does. After doing some research I started to look into the Android System Webview app as a possible source, since the phone runs flawlessly in every other aspect with no crashing, except when I specifically do those actions listed above. Also, when I notice that it keeps crashing, I've force stopped the Android System Webview app, then went and tried to open an email for example and it works. But 15 minutes later it begins crashing again.
What I've tried:
* Force stopped the ASW app
* Uninstalled all updates to ASW
* Re-installed the updates to ASW
* Factory reset the phone (what's funny about this one is even after factor resetting, there's a point in the initial setup where the setup app actually crashes when it tries to load the Google authenticator page and goes back to the beginning, thus making it impossible to complete the setup. Eventually after trying like 20 times it doesn't crash and allows you to complete.)
I'm convinced it's ASW and that's the only thing that makes sense, but I've tried everything to get it to work but this problem is still present across multiple factory resets and TWRP installations. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
Strange, works great for me every time. Did you delete /Android/ folder when you resetet your phone? Maybe the failure sticks in there.

Click to collapse
No I didn't, I just did the standard TWRP wipe data/factory reset bit. I'll give that a shot though and see if it helps. Will edit back with results.
Uninstall updates of web view and see the difference.
If problem persists than format and don't update web view.

Gallery App crashes ...

... whenever I try to open a freshly taken picture from within the camera app...
Before I start: the people over at reddit couldn't help me and it's been a couple of weeks since I asked for help there. I hope you don't mind me posting the exact same post from there.
I can open the gallery app just fine though but I am unable to delete photos with it. I wiped my phone half a dozen times already and this always happens after using the phone for a while. Tried safe mode and it still didn't work. What is happening?
When I use Open Camera as my Camera and QuickPic as gallery everything works just fine. I even can delete the photos I've taken within QuickPic.
This behavior started just recently, after I did a software update I guess... Bought The phone in November
Phone: Galaxy S8, SM-G950FD, UNROOTED
Software version: Nougat, Phone says, I'm on the latest version. When I hit software update this is what I get:
G950FXXU1AQL5 / G950FOXM1AQL5 / G950FXXU1AQL5
Gallery version: 5.3.05.301
Camera version: 7.1.10
ALMOST FORGOT: Instead of the most recent picture thumbnail next to the shutter button this appears: https://imgur.com/ZuXco4x
Edit: lol I can't even change my wallpaper because of this stupid Gallery App...
Edit 2: Google Play Music is able to play my local sd card files again - let's see how long that lasts...
Edit 3: When launching the camera from lockscreen I can access the gallery just fine... strange things are happening here :/

Sharing our 7x lag experience and hopefully finding the cause.

Mine seemed fine at first, but freezes randomly and often takes over a minute for the camera app to start.
Tried, but didn't help-
Disabled the factor version of Facebook and the Facebook app manager. Re-installed FB from the play store.
Tried, and helped some-
Uninstalled Action Launcher. Simply switching back to the stock launcher seemed to help moderately at least in the launcher UI. Did not help with the camera.
Removed 128GB SD card. I was using this to store all my pictures and music. Quite inconvenient to go without it, but it did help some. Camera still opens slow, but it is more like 10 - 15 seconds rather than 1-2 minutes.
Tried, and helped a lot-
Developer options- Background process limits set to 'at most 4 processes.' This helped a lot. There was still random slowdowns, but never had a frozen screen for longer than a second or two. Unfortunately this made some apps misbehave, especially facebook when opening via a notification.
Seems to be fixed for the most part on Oreo.

S10e camera fail after August update

My default Samsung camera app shows a black screen before showing 'camera failed' error message. I tried solutions I found on the web such as clearing camera app cache and data, force restart, safe mode, boot onto bios and clear system cache... Nothing works.
I tried testing with *#0*#, 'Mega cam' its a black screen, tested with 'Front cam' it works. I tried with another downloaded camera app (pic quality is bad compared to the default Samsung camera app) and this time front and back camera works but not the default Samsung camera app. The camera also doesn't work in apps that require camera such as QR reader and document scanner. At least I know the camera hardware is working.
I suspect it might have been caused by a security update performed this week. Version G970U1UES6GUG1 updated.
I bought the phone new and have never done any messing about with bootloader etc.
Can anyone help?
