Hi,
lately I've been having issues connecting to my NAS with my tablet (Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)). I can connect, but after a few minutes of operating on files I get disconnected and can't connect again. I can't even ping the server after this happens. The NAS is on local network and all of my other devices still can access it without a problem.
I can ping other devices from my tablet, just not the NAS (I looked into syslogs and the NAS hasn't banned my tablet's IP, so that isn't the problem).
Could this be problem with the tablet's OS or is it more likely my router misbehaving?
EDIT: I can connect to it again after like 30-60 minutes, so it's not a permaban on the NAS's side

Hi there
When I connect my prophet to my wifi router it connects pretty much straight away and I can check my emails, browse the internet etc. However, when I try to connect to my server (a pc on the wireless network tucked away downstairs with a shared folder holding all my mp3 etc) using any type of file browser it takes about 2-3 minutes to connect. Once connected it's fine but the connecting part is painfully slow and I am wondering if this can be fixed or if anybody else has this problem. I also have a wireless laptop and it connects to the server instantly so I'm assuming the problem must be with a setting on the prophet ... or am I just expecting too much from it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi Folks,
I am having trouble trying to access any SMB shares when connected through 3G(or 2G) to my VPN. The VPN connects, and using VXUtils I can see that Host names resolve correctly to IP for my network, I can ping by host name and IP to my devices and I can do an ip range scan and it finds all the hosts connected to my home network. I can use RDP to connect to my XP machine through host name (With or without using pocket hosts) and I can view the setting html pages of my router through internal ip's but I cannot access any shares! Just to make matters a little more complex, if I connect through a wireless network (using the VPN) everything works fine (assuming it is allowing pptp passthrough)!!!
Oh yes, and the VPN itself and forwarding on the router etc is all fine as laptops and desktops can connect remotely (and of course so can I).
It is a Vario 3 on T-mobile.
Any ideas anyone? All I want to do is be able to access my SMB file shares (on a mybook world edition) whilst out on the move.
Thanks.
I've had my SGSII for a couple of weeks now and it has been connecting via WiFi to the internet without any major problems until now.
My WiFi problems are as follows:
1) At the moment it connects and I can use KiesAir fine, but it will not connect to the internet. This has happened a couple of times before, but a router and/or SGSII reboot had fixed the problem in the past, but not any more.
I'm connecting via a DPQ3925 cable router.
2) AllShare does not see my DLNA network devices when connected via DPQ3925, but Internet worked fine (until problem #1)
3) When I use my DGL-4300 router (which sits behind the DPQ3925), AllShare sees my DLNA network devices and works fine, but it can not access the internet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello! I just bought an nvidia shield tv and I have a problem: I need to connect it by ethernet with my nas in a private lan (not connect to internet) whereas for internet I'd like to use its wifi. By now it is connected by wifi and works well, but I can't ping it in the lan so I'd like to know if it's possibile to use the wifi for internet and its ethernet for a lan and if so how because i tried to change the parameters in network but both DHCP and static didn't work. I have a strange fear that the ethernet interface will be disabled if it detects a wifi connection, if so i am badly screwed (and with a useless shiled for my needs)
TY for your help!
Sorry can't help. But if a usual android device can do that, you could flash a usual android rom to your shield tv and try.
Check this out, still seems like alot of work to get it done.

Hi,
I have the following problem:
My LAN has a router and two APs, the router is a fritz box (IP 192.168.178.1), the APs are a Netgear R6400 v2 running dd-wrt (IP 192.168.178.2) and an older TP-Link on dd-wrt (IP 192.167.178.3).
From my cell (Xiaomi mi 9) I can stream via chromecast thje Shield as long as the Shield is only connected by WLAN to my AP. It doesn't matter to which of my APs my cell is connected, it doesn't need to be the same AP as the one to which the shield is connected.
Once I turn on LAN on the Shield (which then connects to the router), chromecast on the cell doesn't see the Shield anymore.
When connected to the LAN, the shield has IP 192.168.178.53, and my cell has IP 192.168.178.70.
From the computer on which I am typing this post, I can ping all of these 4 devices.
Btw, there is another device, a Panasonic reciever, connected to the LAN, and I can access it from my cell, so I assume that the problem actually comes from the Shield.
Any ideas how I can fix this, making chromecast work even when the Shield is connected by LAN?
This is strange now, I have deactivated the chromecast app (apps/system apps), cleared cache and data, activated it again and restarted the Shield - and now it is working again.
