Help needed! Did I just buy a brick? - Android Head-Units

Long story short, I just bought a 10.25" Android HU used for my BMW F20 but the owner didn't give me the power harness. Seller disappeared so I needed to figure out what unit it was in order to try source the harness.
I had read in BMW forum that the unit can be turned on with a 12V power supply connected to 2 pins on the back but when I did that, nothing happened. I could see a red led on the board turn on, stay on for about 10 sec, then turn off.
I had tried to hold the reset button when power on but it's still the same. I had noticed that when I pressed the reset button, the red led turn off, then turn back on.
Did I fried the screen or did I buy a brick? Thanks a lot!

HELP: SPV M5k blanking out

Every now and then I go to use my SPV M5000 and the device is dead, no response to pressing the power button or even holding it (in case the screen had switched off). Pressing the reset button with the stylus usually works, if not holding it in for a short delay usually works in getting it back together.
This happens on any power source, Mains, Battery, plugged into USB. On scanning through this group I've bought a replacement battery but that has had no effect.
Was tempted to try and find a cracked screen HTC Universal on sale @ eBay and transplant stuff across but thought I'd better check on here first.
So, any ideas anyone?

Android unit 4.4 based on rk3066 death 2nd time

Hi,
My unit died yesterday.
It replacement for unit which I was using before. Both of them was:
EONON GA5153V
http://www.eonon.com/All-Category/GA5153V.html
Both devices gone away in same way.
After my drive, when I remove a key from ignition unit doesn't turn off. It didn't react to any key press so I had to reset it with reset button.
Since that, unit is death, no button backlight, no beep, do not react to reset button just nothing.
Did someone of you had a similar problems, for me two devices was damaged in same way, but I can't found nobody with similar problems as me.
Maybe somebody knows how to repair it.
Thanks for any advice.

Power consumpition Joying DE-JY-UM124N2

Hi,
I'm testing the unit at the moment at home before I put it in the car.
I wanted to know what's the power consumption is when ACC is off. Joying says it's 11 mAmp.
The unit goes in a sort of sleep mode than, when I switch on ACC again after 30 min it takes about 3 seconds to wake up.
I have no CanBus.
I connected my multimeter between the Constant B+ wire to see how much power the unit takes when I should leave the car.
When I set the multimeter at 20 Milliamperes it displays 00.59 .
My question is, how many milliamperes is this ?
Thanks .

Atoto A6 Pro, ignition power cycling problem

Hi all
Just picked up an Atoto A6 Pro for my 2014 CRV Touring.
Everything is wired correctly and I popped the unit in.
I am experiencing an issue where the device will not power cycle unless I press the power buttons on the unit itself.
No wake on ignition and it does not turn off with the key removed either.
I verified power is properly reaching the unit with a multimeter (checked ignition power and constant power).
And now I have tried reversing accessory/ignition power on the radio harness. Now the unit will turn on/off with ignition BUT it does not seem to receive any power when ignition is off. Causing it to lose stored time, and to slowly reboot each time the ignition is turned on.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
thanks
