Hi guys, a Zenfone 2 (model ZE550KL) device show bootloop on logo ASUS. This trouble has begin after update via OTA.
The deveice no rooted, no unlocked bootloader.
The recovery version is LRX22G.WW_user_1,15.40.639_20151029
I tried flash firmware via recovery mode. Downloaded (differents versions) firmwares archives STOCK ROM in website support official of ASUS and put my device in recovery mode > apply update from sdcard > select the file zip firmware. This procedure is ok and complete no errors.
But when i power on, in boot has a show loop in logo again. The system no boot :crying::crying::crying:
Someone help me flash firmware by others procedures? Like a fastboot for example... (unlock bootloader is need)
Help me please!!!
If you not using root or bootloader and got bootloop when update via OTA, best thing to do is bring to ASUS
Dude the first boot may take time ... so i advise you to wait for atleast 20 mins
boot after an update takes some time....wait till android is upgrading screen comes

Hi Guys,
unfortunately I bricked my device. I tried to install the Original ROM, because before this I got the Shopping ROM from Geekbuying. First I unlocked the Bootloader and turned on USB Debugging in Developer options. All worked fine, I did everything like from the manual. TWRP workes fine, too. After I flashed the ROM it restarted and it stucks in Boot Logo (Not EUI, that before!). Showy is that it still looks like the old EUI (The words are still on chinese and not english like in 5.9.0.26S - if it is in english in this version :silly. EUI Version was 5.8.0.20S to the newest (5.9.0.26S). I only can reboot in Fastboot Mode. If I try to boot in Recovery it instant restarts. I don't know if USB-Debugging and unlock oem is still on because I did a factory reset before the flashing. Also ADB says that it couldn't unlock the bootloader (See Screen). Only in fastboot mode in can see the Device in Device Manager, also I could install the correct driver for the device (See in Screenshot).
I really hope somene can help me and thanks for all answers.

try booting TWRP with fastboot - 'fastboot boot <path/to/twrp.img>' Although if your bootloader has got relocked the only way you'll be able to get it going is by getting the phone in EDL mode and using QFIL to flash a factory rom
You can boot to EDL from Fastboot using the modified fastboot application below.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../guide-how-to-reboot-to-edl-fastboot-t3394292
http://www.xianshuabao.com/rom/letv/22820.html is ROM, not QFIL, there is no QFIL for X722 (elite).

That ROM is x720.
WAXCNFN ... => x720
WIXCNFN ... => X722
Greetings.
I also have a x722 from gearbest, when you flash a twrp on vendor 020s from geek is it working ok?
Can you then boot from rom to twrp and back to rom?

i suggest you flash to 020S rom , it is bootloader unlock, don't update to 026S , it will bootloader lock , can not root and install twrp.
I already (long time ago) flash twrp - i dont need to flash another rom because i flash twrp over 020 from geek.
So I have a U.S. ASUS ZenFone 3 Max ZC520TL. Got it rooted with a patched bootloader using Magisk Manager that was originally factory unlocked via ASUS's download. Atm though for some reason my Stock Recovery does not want to load. Whenever I try to access it, my phone immediately reboots back into Android. Is there anyway to flash TWRP to it? Using SP_Flash_Tools presents the BCOM error 2004 and it is unable to flash it. I'm concerned using fastboot to flash it as apparently I need a scatter file to do so?
You need to flash with fastboot doing the command: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
I attempted to download the TWRP recovery that comes close to matching my model, which is here: https://twrp.me/asus/asuszenfone2720p.html but after flashing it using fastboot and attempting to boot into it, the phone still reboots after the screen goes blank and then boots normally. Also TWRP does not have a recovery specific for my phone, only one that is close.
OMG.. You can't flash other devices recovery's you need to flash a TWRP only for your device.. not close..
Well at the moment, I don't think this recovery issue is something that happened via my tinkering as I have been only able to get into the factory mode (which is in chinese) since I got the phone, and recovery never worked (always "bootlooped" when I accessed it even before my flash attempt). Plus I don't see the usual Android logo, just the ASUS logo and instant reboot back into system with no error codes.
So, I tried unlocking ZE520KL with ASUS Flash Tool, and after 25 mins of flashing image I disconnected the device. Now, the device only boots into factory mode and recovery mode. Bootloader doesn't work and internal storage isn't mounted when I use the option Install update from SD card, but MicroSD works.
I had the latest update installed before this happened. I tried the latest firmware from the site and installed it via recovery but it shows signature verification failed. The same thing happens if I try to delete the first few lines of the updater script in the META-INF folder.
So help me guys, which firmware should I use and how should I use it? Even ADB sideload didn't work.
Try fastboot flash 'recovery.img', the same version from a firmware you're about to flash than flash the zip from recovery

Can you enter and stay on fastboot steadily? You need to obtain the whole stock ROM along with fastboot and recovery image from the very same package. Fastboot flash the fastboot and recovery image then flash the ROM from recovery.
today , I unlocked the bootloader of my Real Me 2 Pro and everything was fine and after I tried to boot it back to system after flashing magisk and the decryption.zip , I got this message saying " The current boot / recovery image have been destroyed and can not boot. Please flash the correct image or contact customer service to fix it"
I can just flash the official firmware or any ohter ROM but the PC can't seem to detect the fastboot mode and neither am I able to boot into fastboot / recovery.
can someone please help.!

Dont worry you do have a unlocked device so u need a pc to do that download system.img, vendor.img for your device and just open cmd then type this fastboot flash system system.img then fastboot flash vendor vendor.img and reboot it second method if you dont have an pc not sure that it will work you need a second device with otg support download bugjaeger app from playstore and use the same commands which i mention in pc method
