Accessing Stock recovery after OneUI 3.0 Update (Solution) - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Guides, News

Hello All,
There seems to be a bug in OneUi 3.0 that prevents you from accessing the recovery menu through the usual way, Power Button + Vol Up.
Here is the solution:
1. Turn Off your phone
2. Wait 5 Seconds
3.Plug in your earphones to the Usb-c Port
4. Press Power Button + Vol Up .
There you go!
As an alternative to step 3 you can try using your charging cable, connected to your PC.
Good Luck

I plug USB memory stick in. USB A to USB C adapter we got in the package also works

It's a feature Samsung have built in to one UI 3.0

You have to have either the headphones plugged in, or the usb cable plugged into the PC to access recovery and also download mode i think.

We knew this since beta 2 or 3..

It doesn't even work for me when I plug the PC USB cable in. How the hell do I get into recovery now?

MK808b Flash Mode

Hello,
when I want to set my MK808b in Flash Mode I do exactly like this:
o put the mk808 into flash mode the easy way:
1) Remove any SDcard you may have installed.
2) Connected the supplied USB cable from the device OTG port to your PC.
It will power up and windows may detect the device. DO not worry about that. We need it powered up.
3) In the ROM kit run the ROM FLash Tool.exe.
4) YOu should see at the bottom it says "Found RKAndroid Mass Storage USB"
If it does not say that go into settings and make sure that
a) USB storage is turned ON
b) Under developer options, USB debugging is turned off
5) Once it says "Found RKAndroid Mass Storage Usb" in the flash tool click the "Reboot to Flash Mode" button.
6) Wait up to at least 10 seconds. The unit should reboot and the screen for the mk808 will be black (no ouptut).
7) If the unit does not reboot to a blank screen, repeats steps above
Congrats! You are now in flash mode! To get out of it at any time just unplug the USB power to the mk808.
It will boot back up normally out of flash mode.
If reboot to flash mode does not work, then use this alternate proceedure.
In my ROM kit is another folder called alternate_reboot_to_flash_tool
This is the RKBatch tool. Run this tool and the 1 box should be pink.
If it is not pink again make sure:
a) USB storage is turned ON
b) Under developer options, USB debugging is turned off
Once you have a pink box, Click the "switch" button at the bottom and this should put it into flash mode.
Close this RKBtach tool now.

You have to set the USB computer connection to Mass Storage in the Rockchip Settings app (the icon with the yellow and white gear-wheel).
Here is a detailed video describing the whole flashing process:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mDFmP8sXNk&list=PL-x30K2aVGjfj-fyjvWm3-HsKfFJ6-y81&index=1
If it still doesn't work, try this:
Flash mode using the reset button:
If you do not ever see the flash tool say "Found RKAndroid MASS Storage USB"
Or reboot to flash mode does not work, then use this manual proceedure.
1) Have the USB cable unplugged.
2) Near the HDMI port are 2 holes in each corner. One is the blue LED hole.
The other in the corner is a reset button under the hole.
Use a paper clip or something to push the reset button in this hole.
I actually enlarged the hole so a paper clip would fit.
You will feel the button "click" when you are on it.
3) Hold this button down and while holding it, plug the USB cable from the PC to the OTG port on the mk808.
4) YOu should here windows BONG it found a new device. The LED will not light!
5) You are now in ROM flash mode. Read below for installing drivers.

That's strange. Are you sure the PC is connected through the OTG port and not the power port? (OTG is on the side, power is on the end). And are you sure you have a genuine MK808B? Because there are many clones around.

Yes its the OTG port on the side and yes its the MK808B. Ordered from Amazon.
Maybe its a new Version because it came with Android 4.2.2!?

Mine also came with 4.2.2. and it worked.

usb drivers

bricked my phone and just now installed usb drivers but the odin still doesnt recognize the phone
Then either you
Didn't install USB drivers correctly
Have a faulty cable
Faulty USB port
Not using the right odin version (I recommend v3.07)
Remember if using Windows 8/8.1 you must run the USB driver setup file in compatibility mode else it won't run then just keep clicking next
Put phone in download mode (Vol down home button power button) connect USB then push Vol up to start connection
If all the above has been done with the exception of a hardware fault it will be down to user error if it doesn't work
should I use particularly samsung cable

need guide usb not connecting

Hello everyone,
I hav sm issue with my usb cable in my opt...
What i do till now:
Oneplus driver installed
Adb driver installed
Device is not connecting in fastboot mode too
Pc can not recognize as usb (when connect it shows charging only)
Edit:same goes with h2os rom and oxygen os both
Waiting for helpfull reply
Fastboot/bootloader connection can only be achieved in the bootloader (booting up with vol-). Are you sure you're not asking for ADB connection? For that to work, you must enable it in the hidden developer settings which you can unhide by pressing 5 times on the ROM version under About phone.

You do know that you have to boot phone using vol- plus power before connecting the usb cable, else it will just boot the charging quickloader.

Yes but my pc not recognize it as device bro
In that case, try another USB cable or connect to another PC. Either the cable is bad or you have some strange issue with USB ports on your PC machine.

OPO 2 "no OS installed"

Hi guys,
i knew this topic was dicussed a few times, but i didn´t find a solution which fits for me.
Unfortunately i wiped my OnePlus 2 using twrp and since then i can´t used it, it only says "no OS installed".
No USB connection is found, i can not find it as an adb device (daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037) and USB OTG isn´t working either.
I tried different drivers for the device (actually i uses a qualcomm 9008 driver) but nothing helps.
Is there a change to rescue the phone?
Many thanks in advance!
Were you able to get into recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up, then pressing Power once? How about Fastboot mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, then pressing Power once?
Also, what recovery do you have?

I am able to get into both modes, as well Fastboot mode as recovery. But i am not able to get a connection to my pc or other devices.
Using TWRP 3.0.2-2 as Recovery.

Hi I had the same problem a few months ago, my phone wasn´t recognized by my pc because I was using the official charging cable so I bought a cheap USB-C cable and I was able to connect it to my pc and reinstall the OS. Hope this helps.
So your device isn't recognized in Fastboot mode? Do you have any ROMs downloaded on your phone already?

My original cable doesn´t work anyway, so i was forced to try another cable. Unfortunately this didn´t work either.

I´m not able to get a ROM on my device, this is my problem.
When I try to connect my phone using adb this is happening:
"C:\Users\Seesternfan>adb devices
List of devices attached
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *"
I tried different tips from the internet but i wasn´t able to get a connection with my phone.

If you can get your hands on a USB-OTG cable, definitely do so to get a ROM onto your phone. Have you tried MTP? If you enable MTP under Mount in TWRP, does your PC recognize it in Windows Explorer?

I have two USB-OTG cables at home. The problem is that the OnePlus 2 USB C port is no ordinary USB C port. Till now i didn´t find a cable that works, except the original one which is out of stock.
MTP is enabled but there is no difference to before.
Have tried reinstalling the drivers?
@Seesternfan
Can it be possible to get remote access to your PC, so that I can help you?
Is your USB-OTG cable a USB-C one? I use a Micro-USB USB-OTG cable with an Anker Micro-USB to USB-C adapter.
