hi i just tried to upgrade my friends galaxy s from eclair to gingerbread bt it failed at odin n its stucked on black screen of death ie phone-!-pc .Now i cant set it back to download mode neither pc recognize it . i m in delimma heard abt usb jig bt i cant get it here since i m in hostel is there any other way to boot it back to download mode?

yes i rebooted my pc n tired on other 2 pc too.also changed the usb cable bt no luck .
and the "downloading" screen doesnt shows up?
just hold the 3 key salute buttons to go back, with the USB cable plugged in, to go back to Download mode
you did keep the usb cable plugged in?

No need to, you can reach download mode with or without the usb cable.

Guys please help. Odin does not recognize my phone in download mode but does when its on the samsung screen. Should I odin it back with the samsung screen? The reason I bricked my phone was because I accidentaly flashed stock 2.2 kernel over nero v4 voodoo with voodoo enabled, and also flashed jl5 modem at the same time. Also on the samsung screen it says file analysis and stays stuck on it. How can I get my odin to recognize my phone in download mode.
Please anyone?
Ok, so how far do you get when you boot up?
and are u able to reach recovery mode?
if you can reach download mode on your phone everything should be fine, try restarting odin and then plugging the usb cord into your computer then hold down volume down and plug usb into phone, worked for me when i was having the same problem
Make sure you have a later version of Odin running. Had issues with the earlier versions.

Guys. Please help. Each time I plug my phone in download mode, it tells me that windows does not recognize it, but does when it is on the vibrant samsung screen. Can anyone please help me out here?

I saw there are several topics on bricked tab's but mine seems to have a different problem: It wont switch on, when I connect it to my pc it wont switch on and doesnt do anything. And finally when I connect it to my charger the following screen goes on and off: (attachment). I also cant get it in download mode to restore it with Odin. Can somebody help?

flash with PIT file only, and it will work again!
The above post assumes your pc is recognizing the tab at all. Charge it to full (overnight if you can) on a wall charger, then attempt to plug it in via usb to your pc. If it recognizes it, attempt the pit flash (without download mode obviously)
It also helps to know how this happened...

the above post is mine....is just an example "how to" my tab is not connected to computer ....and I agree with you = no need to go in download mode. just flash as it is!

I flashed a wrong rom and it failed in odin. I'l try the recharge. Thanks.
recharged the whole night, still not going on or showing a yellow box in odin. What do I do?

Plugging in the USB i a different ought to work. Try this before you go in for more serious options like ODIN.
Try connecting the phone via an USB at the back-panel of your PC.

Yes, it worked
In mine, It won't connect anymore , I think something is already damaged inside but charging in the computer and with the wall charger is just normal. My phone acts weird this time, I don't know why

You need to re-install the Drivers... Should work :good:
i updatad the CM11, and it always stock and restart automaticly ,so i want to re-install the CM11 and then i made a mistake,somebody told me to wipe the data/dalvik/cache after install ,and now i even cannot wipe anymore,it told me sd/storage not mounted,and even i send it back to LG they told me its out of warranty.come some one to help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you boot to recovery, and mount the SD storage? Can you boot to download mode?
i can get into twrp,but cant mount sd/storage… can't get into downloaad mode

So, i just got an s10+ exynos from a friend, the screen is ok and the back too, the problem is that the phone is weird asf
i'm trying to put it in download mode for like 2 days
so, the phone show the samsung s10+ logo if i plug it on a outlet
BUT if i plug the phone on my pc usb, the screen just goes black and vibrate every 5 seconds or 10 idk
can anyone help me?

is the battery dead as a doornail?
the battery don't look like it's dead because when i plug the phone it vibrates like a bootloop, but black screen |ONLY ON USB| BUT if i plug it on a outlet the samsung screen show up but bootloop and if i unplug it the screen goes off and nothing happen

Try another cable and/or usb port.
Try accessing using Windows Drive Management if not already.
Check Windows Event Viewer for error messages.

UPDATE :
ok, now i can enter download mode, but the phone is not detected by odin, it's detected by the pc but not odin.
already tried to re-install kies, samsung usb drivers and smart switch nothing works, can someone help me ? i broke my main phone and i need this one

I never used Odin.
-Reboot- always reboot...
Try again.
Try another (all) USB port(s).
Check Event Viewer for error messages.
