SM-T290 rooted slow and android OS using most ram - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

So I have a sm-t290 rooted with magisk and twrp. I also have titanium backup. No matter what I seem to do what apps are frozen or unfrozen etc the tablet is slow and lags quite often especially playing any game such as I play raid shadow legends on it and that lags horribly and regularly.
Any suggestions or lighter roms developed yet? My android OS is near constantly taking most of my memory as well.

Games always choppy on MT3G

I've wiped and installed a handful of different ROMs to no avail. Any time I download and install a 3D or 3Dish game (even ShootU), it's choppy. I saw a video of a G1 running Raging Thunder and it was smoother than my mytouch.
What gives? It's pretty annoying.
Running Stokes 1.3 Eclair ROM.
do you use swap? tried superD ROM? hell even cyanogen isn't bad.
my mytouch is choppy in general. like its laggy. not as fast as an iphone (even thought i hate iphones, i have to say that.) but as for games, nah. games that are choppy for me are online games because of the occasional lag, other than thats, mines pretty good.
Yeah, I have Super D's 1.9.2 Rom on after a wipe, and I even formatted my sdcard. I'm running ra amons recovery as well.
The game in particular is ShootU. I installed Raging Thunder and it runs great now...but I'm curious as to why this other game is so choppy.
I was in a TMo store yesterday, took their display mt3g and installed ShootU on it, and it played completely smooth.
Just sort of at a loss. Haven't tried any other games really, and it's not like this is a make-or-break deal for me. Just bugs me a lot.

Super D uses the 10 mb RAM hack and that takes the extra 10 mb of ram from the 3d gaming part of the phone so 3d games will be choppy. If you don't want the 10 mb ram hack or want a choice between hack or not go to cyanogen.

which rom for faster, no bloatware?

Just got my acer iconia a500 a week ago, upgrading from an archose 70 (which was a great device btw)
I went with the iconia for the faster hardware, and yes it is pretty snappy, but after a while it starts hanging due to the 200 bloatware apps every device comes with that all seem to need to run in the background and sync every 2 seconds for absolutely no reason since i've never once run them.
just swiping between homescreens starts to lag after being on for a while due to the massive amounts of crap that hogs my processes for no reason. And even on a fresh boot I get a quadrant score of 1400 when my phone running cell processes with the same hardware as my tablet hits 2500 on a bad day.
So on to my question. The rom section of this devices forum is a little scattered so i'm having issues finding which roms are up to date, which are stable and so on. What rom would you recommend? I am essentially looking for something that's close to stock 3.1, minus all the bloatware trash. I run cyanogen on all my other devices but i don't see a honycomb of that rom.
side note: Why does "heros of sparta" the demo version of a game that I refuse to even try since it's a gameloft game, need to run in the background 24/7? BLOAT!
I like virtuous Xoom very fast rom.

try taboonay, honeyvillain and lightspeed. They are based on acer stock roms with less to no bloatwares
thank you very much guys.
I am running Lightspeed 1.0.1 with Thor's 1.13 kernel. Very fast and very stable.

Want to run my Vibrant as a perk tv phone...

Sounds simple enough, right? I have tried CodeRom 4.4.x, Cyanogen 10.1 and Remi-ICS. Remi would not load most of the video ads, even after updating to a newer version of the kernel (it would run some ads, but not all). CodeRom will play all of the ads, but only lasts a few hours before it gets so sluggish that the app gets stuck on the loading screen, and I have to restart it. Any ROMS that you guys can recommend that are lightweight, have good video playback, and a low number of other misc problems? PerkTV and Perk Pop quiz are the only two apps I will be running on it, over wifi. I have heard from some on reddit that perk is still a little buggy on Android 5.x, which is why I have been keeping with 4.2+ roms.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Nexus 6p any lagg or stutter experiencing? After a few months

Hello,
I was wondering if you guys experiencing any king of lagg or stutter after a few months?
Yes. Classic Android. I don't think there is a perfect device. Never owned an iphone but I'm curious if they do the same. After 1 month I noticed it started to delay when switching apps or bringing up the keyboard or transferring data to other apps (send pictures, links, etc to different apps). Granted it's not enough to drive you crazy like previous samsung phones I've had but it's enough to notice compared to a freshly flashed phone.
I had similar issues especially on Chrome, very choppy scrolling. It turned out I switched on the accessibility services which caused this erratic. behaviour. I switched them off and phone returned to normal.

Been running PN rom and EX kernel for a month now, I would say that there is a very slight performance downgrade over the month... It may be nothing at all, but if there is any sort of performance decrease, it is not enough for the average user to notice. Apps load up fast, the keyboard opens fast, everything is fast. As to be expected with stock Android. It shouldn't slow down like custom overlays do
Hmmm

Best way to speed up ORNA game-play?

I bought a refurbished T530NN to play my favorite game ORNA. (a GPS based RPG) It came pre-loaded with 5.0.2 and ORNA needs at least 6.1 to play. After a looooooot of study I was able to install crDroid 7.1.1 and I can now play ORNA. The problem is that ORNA runs really slowly. I'm not sure if it is slow because of hardware limitations of the Tab 4 or if there is a version of android that would speed up the game. I did try installing LightningFastRom7.1, thinking it would speed things up, but I couldn't get it installed for some reason. Do you have any suggestions on ROMS or modifications that would speed up game-play?
