Hi, the steering wheel buttons dont work after I put Android 10 multimedia with built-in canbus. I checked factory settings and I cant find bmw e90 in canbus settings. Any ideas ?
no ideas...
Hi,
if the E90 is not there, you should try a similar model from that model year. Usually BMW are using the same platform across the models. Is the E60 there? Or more to the point, which BMWs are available in the settings?
Bmw (Union), Mini (MiXun), 13 Bmw Mini (Bagoo), 15 Bmw mini (Bagoo), Bmw E46 (LZ), I tried all of them
That's odd. The car types are defined in the MCU, so perhaps your's is not up-to-date. Can you go to the "about this device" section in the options and post the MCU version?

Ok, the MCU is not that old, actually. I thing the latest are 3.45 or there about. Did you check if your CANBus module is the right one for your car and that it is wired in correctly? If so the "about machine" screen should also show the successful connection.

I know that multimedia has built-in canbus module ( I am not sure that this is correct name), other guy wired the media, because I am not good in this things. You mean that in "About machine" I should have something about Canbus successful connection ?
I don't think so. The CANBus module is a black box that is connected to the back of the radio. In your case it may be, that the steering wheel uses a resistor network. In that case the wires go directly to the plug on the radio, I think they are called Key1/2, or K1/2.
And yes usually in the "About machine" menu there is an entry that tells you if the CANBus is connected or not.
If you go to the settings where you can assign the physical buttons, it shows you on the upper right-hand side if it is a resistor value or a CANBus value. If you push a button you can see the values change if everything works.

Hello all,
I have a KGL1, 1024x600 RK3188 unit and even if the controls in the steering wheel work propperly, I am missing the part of the "FIS" screen (I have a SEAT-VW car group) where I could see radio stations and song titles.
After I installed this navi-radio, the screen became completely black and is not showing that information anymore, that was previously shown with the original "standard" radio that came with the car.
Do you know if is it there any solution for this? or it will be always like this?
I attach a photo as an example from other car (the part of the yellow square), but the result is the same.
Thank you.
hello,
i think this is normal.
i have a vw too, and my FIS after installing a "non OEM Radio" only show me the same information.
my opinion is, the can-bus adapter can only read information from the car, there can´t write back or send information from the new "non OEM radio" to the FIS.
greets
I have an Audi with a similar display on the dashboard and I get some information displayed. There is a CAN BUS decoder installed in the wiring loom that I believe is supposed to be a two-way thing - i.e. you change the volume, track or radio station with the buttons on the steering wheel and these are interpreted by the head unit or change them on the head unit and they are 'supposed' to be sent to the cars computer. This partially works on my Audi, although the text that is displayed is wrong or interpreted wrong; only the Radio band and frequency are correct. I think the CAN BUS unit 'tells' the car what is happening (i.e. its a music track or its a phone call), however I think the car is expecting some more information regarding the details - i.e. PHONE + Number or Contact name, or USB Audio + Track number/details.
I think this is down to the software on the CAN BUS unit - but I am still learning.... I haven't seen any details of updating software/firmware on the CAN BUS adapters?
Andy
Thanks a lot to both of you.
@ADB100, how did you managed to make it working? For me in the upper part of the FIS, nothing appears and if it could see the radio station, something is something

I didn't do anything other than install the head unit with the CAN BUS decoder already in the wiring loom. I previously had an Audi RNS-E unit installed and all the information in the DIS (Audi refer to it as the Driver Information System) worked - Radio Station, Phone Contact, SD Card track name. The wiring loom that was supplied had the quadlock to connect to the connector from the car and then a small connected to connect to the back of the head unit. There were then RCA's for the four audio channels (FL, FR, RL & RR) plus the CAN BUS box. The CAN BUS box had a label on it saying 'CAN BUS DECODER. For Audi A3/TT' and then a software version. Its all installed in the car now so I can't tell you exactly as I'd need to remove it. I should have probably taken a few more photo's before I installed it... It might be coming out anyway and the RNS-E going back in to be honest as I am not too happy with this Tonghai Create unit...

Some HU "write" on the FIS, and others not......mine don't, but Xtrons PF73AA3A do.....
Hello!
I´ve recently got a Witson HU (MTCD 1.97a) with the Canbus adapter for my Fiat Bravo (2013).
The steering wheel controls function ok (vol up, vol down,...) but i´ve seen another HU displaying "door opened" or other msgs (displayed in center car display), overwritten on HU display that look like the ones that appear when you change volume...
I tried various canbus settings (i found 2 different for the Fiat Bravo) but neither of them works as aspected. One is ok for the steering wheel controls and the other does nothing. But again... no extra msgs on screen.
Is it ok like this? Maybe the canbus decoder only works for those msgs, and ignore the rest of the canbus data...
any ideas would be appreciated!! thanks in advance!
greetings from Argentina!

That feature doesnt necessarily work on all cars, look for an app like "Car settings" or "Car service" in the apps when you have it set on the 2 Fiat Bravo CAN Bus setting, if you cant find it anywhere, go through all apps, if you still cant find anything, then that feature is not supported. You could also try any other Fiat CAN Bus setting, or maybe Lancias, Alfa or even some Chrysler vehicles theyre all made by FCA so there is a possibility it may work, probably not but worth trying.
You could also try the menu on the car, I know on the Bravo you can control some stuff on the factory nav unit, if you didnt ahve nav in the car it may be a case of turning the feature on via the car before it will work.
After typos1 tip, i set the canbus mode to ALFA ROMEO. The display shows an overhead view of a car, with the doors or boot being opened. Great!!! BUT... i lost steering wheel controls. Bad!!
So i´ll wait for an OS update to fix this thing.
The calibration screen for steering wheel controls doesnt show any option, in any case.
thanks again!

Ah, thats annoying.
The OS has nothing to do with it, its the MCU that deals with this sort of stuff, so an OS update for wont help, an MCU update may do IF they add full support for the Bravo and theres no guarantee that they will.
Some cars have CAN Bus but use resistive SWC (my Alfa is like this, but some Alfas do have CAN Bus SWC) which could explain it.
There may be a way round it if you buy an SWC adapter for your car. These headunits supposedly use the same SWC protocol as Pioneer, so if you got a Pioneer/Fiat Bravo SWC adapter, disconnected the 2 SWC wires from your CAN Bus box and attached them to the SWC adapter it would convert the CAN Bus SWC signal from your car into resistive so the stereo can understand them. AFAIK this has not been done before but it should work.
EDIT : didnt spot the bit about the SWC calibration not showing up, damn, I guess you could extract the SWC app using the app "APKextractor" and see if it installs when the stereo is in Alfa Romeo CAN Bus mode.

browsing other threads i saw there are users with the same issue. SWC app shows just a blank screen (with save and reset buttons on top).
I´m still studying this (among other things... the mtcd HU is nice.. but it looks like it needs polishing)
hi, is your witson still working?
I have a Bosion PX6 Android 10 head unit.
My car is a Toyota Camry 2010 that came with a basic radio with XM radio and the Bosion 10" is an amazing upgrade for this car.
I am having a problem with the steering wheel controls as they don't set up with the button setup in the vehicle setup menu. I have tried many times with different settings.
The buttons on the left side of the steering wheel sort of work, the ones on the right do not seem to work at all.
In the hidden menu the various CANBUS settings don't really make any difference. There's like 10 different Toyota settings but all act the same as setting the Canbus to 0 (no Canbus?).
Anyone have any suggestions to resolve this?
I'm also looking for Bosion contact info or web page.
okay, the key is in the hidden menu or factory menu, you really need to search (depending in the canbus module you have) the car maker and model.
The canbus must show up and report the version.
The menu you find to setup the buttons in the android will never work.
hang in there you'll get it.

It sounds like you know what you are talking about. Fyi that I have been through the hidden menu. When you say the canbus must show up and report the version, I am not clear on what you mean. I have tried all 7 or 8 Toyota canbus configs and when I select any, the phone loads an associated program and reboots. None are really making any difference, always the left buttons kind of work and nothing on the right.
Any suggestions you have would really be appreciated.
Where you see the kernel version, os version and mcu version you must have also canbus version.
Can't show it to you now but you should see something like simple and version as 1.13.something
If nothing is there, the canbus config is not yet correct and radio can't detect correctly the canbus box. But you say that some steering wheel buttons are working. In this case. It seems to me that the canbus module in the radio is not yet updated to your car or the canbus box firmware is also not with a version where your car is supported. Contact the seller and claim if you still have time for it.
UPDATE: added aftermarket canbus box has corrected 90% of the buttons. The remaining button is the Voice button to issue voice commands to the phone. This is not a choice within the head unit button mapping. I suppose I should try a different car selection (?).
Anyone know if there is a website for Bosion for manuals and updates?
I don't think so :/ I've tried to get some answers from manufacturer but they aren't well informed, i think. Or they are not willing to tell a secret :/

Sorry for the delay, I have an aftermarket box from PAC called SW1-RC-1 which works 95% perfectly and allowed me to program the buttons as normal.
I have a 2010 Toyota Camry.
The only issue is the Bosion PX6 Android "10" is that in the setup for the canbus within the head unit, there is no button to map to for the voice button to on the steering wheel. Seems like a very odd issue as the voice button is so normal and I'm still looking for an update or a way to find that button in settings.
Hey guys,
I recently bought a Headunit for my Opel/Vauxhall/GM Vectra C by the brand Autotop on AliExpress.
More information here : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33064243426.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.4d374c4djb2lMm
It is a RK3368 unit with 4gb RAM and 64gb ROM and Carplay function. I mainly bought this unit because I expected two main features from it.
Firstly I wanted to be able to have plug and play Android Auto and the unit came with a dedicated usb cable that had the label carplay on it which only fit in one slot on the back of the radio. Sadly when I plugged my phone in nothing happened so I assume that the unit is in fact not Android Auto ready even though the description says so. Am I doing something wrong/ Do I have to set up Android Auto in some way, first?
I also want to install a backup camera and I saw in some other youtube videos that the PX5 Android 9 and Android 10 devices have something called "Extra Settings" where different parameters of the backup camera can be adjusted. One of the things that can be adjusted is the calculation of the reverse trajectory of the car which is a feature that I would really like to have.
Unfortunately my headunit only has "General Settings" "Factory Settings" and "Steering Wheel" settings. And none of these settings contain any adjustments for the backup camera.
Is there a way to "unlock" these extra settings or are they just not present in my Android Build ?
Ive attached my Build Number for further information down below
Thanks in advance for your help!
Yesterday i also got my PX5 4GB/64GB for my Vauxhall Insignia / Buick Regal 2016.
1. I am also missing the "extra settings". There are some options that might solve my other problem with my...
2. Steering wheel Buttons not working. They are working but not in the android Unit, just in my Board Computer
3. The Board Computer doenst seem to communicate with my new Android Radio ...
It was also said Plug and play and in the Describtion they had an image of exactly the same original Radio that i have/had...
I am so dissapointed but i think there is a wrong Setting in the Factory Settings (code 126) - here a Video of my Settings:
and this is waht i see, when i try to programm the steerin wheel buttons (attachement)
I think it comes all togehter on either the missing "Extra Settings" or in a wrong setting in the Factory Settings :-(

i found out that a cable was not connected to the steering wheel.
I had to open the plastic-frame above the steering wheel and there was a connector.
Now they work but i still can not programm each button to another function. Still grey screen.

Hi,
The unit is THIS
I've got my unit, installed it, changed the info display from a facelift model to match the conections with the following diagram D1 , D2 and D3 .
The only issue is that the climate controls have a mind of their own, they change the setting to a/c auto, a/c eco, etc.
I talked to a guy that told me to change the car model from "machine settings" to solve the climate control, i entered a menu but it has everything in Chinese HERE .
In that menu the selected model is 04-15 mazda 6, in the CanBox category are a lot of i guess "firmwares". Should i take them one at a time?
What can i do to make it work? I also changed the climate control from a facelift model when other guy told me that could be a issue
More photos here and here and here from my install.
Thank you.

Yes, you need to install one at time, the HU do an automatic reset and after that you check the functions; if everything it's ok you don't need to do nothing, if not, try other configuration.
By the way, you need to be connected to the wifi or gsm.
