hello everyone
I had a problem with the update that came to my phone (au LG V35 isai), which is that the Wi-Fi network stops when the mobile network is turned on, but when the mobile network is turned off or when i active the airplane mode, the Wi-Fi works What is the solution to this problem?
Is there a stock ROM for this phone to be installed on the computer?
Is it possible to install any Global ROM on the phone?
Please note that I bought the phone from the Internet and it is intended for Japan, and I live in Iraq.
In case you haven't done it already, head over to the lg v30 forum for help. While your phone model says v35, it is really a v30 variant.

Your phone is a Japanese V30+. LGV35 is the variant/carrier number -- like LS998, H930G, H932, US998...
For that particular Japanese carrier their V20 was called "LGV34.". The next phone, their LG V30+, was then "LGV35."
Just a regrettable coincidence that after that, LG actually came out with a phone series called V35.

Hi everyone,
somehow my Optimus seems to have problem getting internet via WiFi, after flashing a Vodafone ROM. Does anyone have an idea how I might fix it?
Thanks
Can you be more specific? Does WiFi turn on? Is the phone able to find networks?

Are there any news about that? I have problems with Wifi and I updated my ROM to Vodafone ROM.
I'm sure that there are no such problems with original vodafone phones (in my office there are 6 Vodafone Optimus 7...).
the problem is that when Wifi is active and 3G too it connects to wifi, it works through wifi for a while but suddenly the connection stops working. It seems like the phone try to use 3G (cause you can see 3G becomes H) but no communications happens. (websites go in timeout, marketplace keep loading, etc).
If I disable 3G... it works flawless with wifi! That's very strange, I was about to open a thread about that.
Do you have any news about this? Do you have the same issue?
I have the same problem.
I have it since 7720 I think. My solution for now is simply switch off Cell data and switch on WIFI when I am at home. A real solution would be very welcome.

That's my solution too but I don't like it! What ROM do you have? Did you flashed a Vodafone ROM on a non Vodafone branded phone or what else?
Here in my office we have 7 different Optimus 7 and I've noticed that:
4 Vodafone (ita) branded with original ROM. Don't have this issue
2 TIM (ita) branded phones reflashed with Vodafone ROM. Don't have this issue
1 Wind (ita) branded phone reflashed with Vodafone ROM. This is the phone with the issue
The TIM branded phone was two time to assistence because had a 3G instability / problem (there is a thread I started here on xda).
I begin to suspect that it's a problem for assistence, even if it seems a software problem because every two device used alone works well. What do you think?
I really don't know...
My phone did not have a problem besides this problem (it did shutdown on itself - when carried in my pocket, this is resolved since 8107).
I have flashed the NLD OPN ROM from XDA (nasirahmed posted this ROM, there's a thread somewhere here), this is a 7720 ROM. As far as I remember this problem got introduced after 7720. Then I updated to 8107 using the packages on XDA also.
The phone was originally a German OPN one (I bought it before the dutch version was available) I believe. I flashed it with this OPN ROM in a dutch flavor.
System versions:
7.10.8107.79
firmware 1.1.4.10
hardware 1.0.0.0

I just recently bought an unlocked LG G2 and set up the phone on a Koodo plan. The phone has worked great up until a few days ago when I lost service and the phone wont connect to the network anymore, even after a factory reset. I brought the phone to Koodo and spoke with a guy that told me sometimes unlocked android phones have difficulty connecting to a network and that he didnt know how to help me. Ive tried manually entering network information and ive tried different koodo sim cards but nothing works. What should i do next?
Try another simcard provider
Try gsm only
Try to search fir network in network settings

Hi sricard,
I seem to be having the same issue as what you're experiencing. I have unlocked G2 that I'm using on Koodo network. Just last night my phone switched to emergency calls only. It was working perfectly fine for a whole month. And before that I was using the phone on Fido network with no issues.
Some additional info. I tried my friend's Roger's sim card on my phone and it showed emergency calls only. When my friend tried my sim, he was able to connect to Koodo network.
On my phone when I search for networks, it does find Koodo, Rogers, Bell networks. It just doesn't seem to be connecting for some reason.
My phone is stock, not rooted. I wasn't even doing anything out of the ordinary with my phone so I have not idea why this happened all of a sudden.
I tried the hard reset also and that didn't work for me either.
Not sure what else to do. May look into custom rom but not sure if that's going to work..

What I found out is that my phone had been blacklisted... which means that it had been reported lost or stolen by somebody else and the IMEI number had been reported. The phone became useless... and as one of the guys that i brought it to said, i essentially had a very expensive paperweight. hope your situation turns out better than mine!

I also have the same symptoms as this, checked the IMEI with Koodo on the phone. They don't see it on any of their lists.
I'm trying everything but can't fix it. Still trying.

Hi. I am in the same situation. Days ago i bought and unknow person Lg g2 d802. I think i have a solution for work back again our devices. Please contact to my email. [email protected] and i explain to you my idea.
Similar Problem
I have an lg vs980 and I was using it with H2O wireless and later I changed to Simple Mobile. I'm living in Puerto Rico. The phone was working all right and, suddenly, one day it was always displaying 'emergency calls only'.
I did factory reset, then I reflashed stock lollipop and it was like nothing happened, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Then I found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2394689 and applied the patch but didn't seem to resolve the problem.
As a last resort I tried flashing cm 12.1 and before first boot applied the patch from the cited thread but no result, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
Phone: LG G2 VS980
Root: no, all stock
I need to make sure that my phone works when I go canada. Verizon claims my phone is not locked.
I tried using my LG in taiwan last year and couldn't, while a tmobile phone worked without issues. apn settings adjustments etc were made on my lg w no luck.
I will be travelling to canada and i need to make sure my g2 works!
I put in a lyca mobile sim card in and got the Restricted access change - voice disabled
Why? I dont have any funds on this sim card so i cant really test it... can someone help me?
I"m not a developer, total newbie, i'll need some handholding..
Thanks

Please see this comment for how I weirdly got WiFi Calling.
Hi guys, signal in my house is horrific - I've been trying to get WiFi calling for ages, and loved it when I was with EE.
I'm now on Voda and don't have it.
From what I've seen, it doesn't appear to be possible with an unbranded phone (why Voda!?) through any normal/configuration means.
I have the option to turn it on under settings -> applications -> phone -> wifi calling, and I've sent 'CALLING' to 97888, but only get the confirmation of the text, and nothing to confirm it's been set up. However, I don't get the little icon to signify that I'm using wifi calling.
Is there any way I can get wifi calling?
Does it require flashing?
If I'm going to have to root/flash anyway to get this feature, is there a way to do it one of the nice custom ROMs I see on this forum, but retain the vodafone branding?
Thanks all.
Easiest way is to flash a Vodafone firmware. Had to do the same to get EE WI-FI calling working. There is an option in unbranded firmware but activating it does nothing
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Just flash latest Vodafone firmware that way you will not trip knox and you should get wifi calling
I suggest you check with your provider, if the unbranded phone was not bought from them.
Wifi calling may not be allowed because the imei is not registered to a vodafone branded phone.
They may have blocked the wifi calling feature.
Hey,
I've got the Google Pixel phone which I bought from Carphone Warehouse. Vodafone have told me that WiFi calling should work with it without any special firmware. I've tried using my SIM card in a friend's Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which he bought from Carphone Warehouse and it worked! I too didn't get a text message from Vodafone when I texted 'CALLING', but WiFi calling is now active on the SIM card, albeit not the phone. Have been in discussion with Google who have escalated my problem to their technical people. Hope it can be resolved very quickly, otherwise returning the Pixel, which I don't want to do.
Thanks very much for the replies guys - I have something to report back to you all too. Unsure HOW this happened, but it happened... I somehow got WiFi Calling.
I'm scared to try do anything else like switch off my phone, because I don't want to lose my new WiFi Calling.
Here's what happened:
I have an EE iPhone 5s, locked to carrier. I'd recently requested an unlock from EE. It had been switched off, and was recently hard factory reset. Unsure of iOS version.
I put my Vodafone SIM in the iPhone today to see if it had been unlocked... it hadn't. SIM was in there for roughly 1 minute.
I put the SIM back into my S7E... started getting the usual texts from Vodafone about changing SIM, blah blah.
Somehow, I now have WiFi Calling on my unbranded S7E on Vodafone!
At no point did I switch off my S7E during SIM changing.
*NOTE* I'm not sure if something has changed recently, but I definitely did NOT see the WiFi Calling symbol before I did this:
I have no idea why/how and I can only speculate.
But... there we are!
Not sure if anyone else can try/vouch for this, as I realise it's a VERY particular set of circumstances, but I hope this helps someone!
Please do respond to me if you try this out and get it working... it'd be interesting to see if it works for others, and maybe figure out why it works.
Cheers!

Hi all,
I'm always being shy to post, but this is an amazing place for information, this time i couldn't find anything that I was looking for so here it is the question:
- I have bought LG v30 from South Korea unlocked 128gb phone
- its recognize Verizon sim card
- 4LTE internet is working
- text messages or voice phone calling is not working, if something else is calling me it goes to voice mail.
I have called to Verizon tech support they told me that they cant enter manually the IMEI address since such phone doesn't exist yet in they data base.
Dear community,
I'm asking for help or guidance - what can I do to make this amazing phone working. I own a business so its very sensitive for me to receive phone calls or txt messages.
PS my previous phone LG V20 got completely ****ed up on construction site.
THANK YOU
In order for a phone to work reliably on Verizon it must have LTE Band 13. I'd imagine the Korean version does NOT support Band 13. Most phones support Band 4, which Verizon sometimes uses, but without 13, you're out of luck in most places. I'd either wait for the unlocked American V30 or get the Verizon branded one.
