I've bought a battery case for my OnePlus 8 Pro but it won't charge the battery case with my QI charger is it possible to use the reverse charging and somehow extend the distance between the phone and the QI charger

I bought a generic QI charger (there isn't so much choice in HK for QI chargers) to use with my N7 and N4.
My N7 (stock rooted) charges no problem, with a cover as well.
My N4 (CM 10.1.3) on the other hand just does not charge. The QI charger indicates that the phone is on the plate and the phone says it is charging via "wireless", however when I take the phone off the charging plate after say a few hours the battery indicator has only gone up 1-2% and sometimes not even changed. I have the N4 in a poetic bumper and I haven't taken off the plastic that came with the phone on the back. The phone charges fine when plugged into a wall charger.
I should also add the phone gets quite warm when I take it off the charger.
Any thoughts?
This seems like your phone is spending more power than what it receives.
Use better battery stats app to check any drains and some battery application to see how many ma your phone receives during wireless charging.
I have also a Chinese noname qi charger and charges my nexus at 450 -500ma.

I got a cheap generic qi charger from ebay, it stated its output was 1.2 amps, it charged it well but sometimes it would lose its connection or throttle, check your battery graph and see if charging was consistent,
Hi
I got the Samsung S-Pad charger which the shop states it's for S6 and Samsung states it's for S5, but it's charging my S7 just fine. Using the original charger for my S7 for it. Could it damage the battery or are most of the wireless chargers identical?
Thanks in advance
You can't damage the battery. It's a myth. Use any qi charger you want. As long as your phone charges then you're good.

You can use any qi charger you like, it will not hurt your phone.
I'm using my Samsung charger I bought with my S6... It works fine... But takes almost 3 hours from a low battery... Really want the new Samsung fast charge wireless charger
Hi there.
I'm wondering if i should buy a wireless charger for my s7 edge, but i wanted to make sure that it wont wear my battery faster.
I read somewhere that due to wireless charging making the phone hot, it may reduce the lifespan of the battery.
Any thoughts on this are welcomed.
Excessive heat will age a battery prematurely. The question is what constitutes excessive. My LG G3, with a standard Qi charger, got very warm when charging. The S7, which is designed to support fast wireless charging, barely gets warm with the same charger (which is not a fast charger). I don't have a fast charger, but I suspect it would generate more heat. Hopefully someone with a fast wireless charger will chime in.
I have to concerns about charging mine with a "slow" Qi charger, though.
As I don't need fast wireless charging I have turned that off and just use normal wireless charging which does fine and doesn't generate much heat.

Does the LG V20 Quick Charging work on spare battery when it's not in the phone? Such as in the charging pod/cradle that LG sells if I use the quick charging plug? I would think the cradle would need some intelligence to do that. If that's not quick charging, is there a way to quick charge a spare battery without using the phone?

Does anyone of you have experience with it or something similar? Please share it for me... is it functionally?
Since Qi charging works best being in close proximity as possible to the battery, you may run into heat issues since the qi pad will be on the outside of the case. You can always order one & try it. Just keep an eye on the temps
