Just so everyone with a T-Mo variant is aware. Calling T-Force does still work. Tell them that you are a developer for work and need access to the bootloader unlock which is tied to the device unlock. As long as you are s good standing customer and the rep feels they can trust you, you're golden. Took me about 5 minutes

Not sure on Sprint. I wasn't successful with mine either.
I was able to get t-force on fb messenger to help me unlock my 7pro early but I've tried 3 times now saying I'm a developer and 3x was told I have to wait 45 days

I just used Sunderwears unlock service. My lg g4 is being financed so i cannot request a permanent unlock..only a temp unlock. Using his service allowed me to permanently unlock my g4 for any carrier! Here is a video i took.

carrier unlock is not the same as bootloader unlock. there is no "temporary" bootloader unlock. its either unlocked or its not.
however, some unlocks can be reverted, that doesnt mean they are temporary.
It sounds like your refering to a sim unlock. I would change the name of your thread because when you just say unlock we think you have found the Holy Grale. Call it a sim unlock in your topic.

can this be done on a G4 that had it's IMEI changed to unblock it? I have one that this was done on, still can't use the unlock app, and of course talking to t-mobile is useless, they have no record of the new IMEI so they can't unlock it for me.
Edit: wanted to also advise, I tried this with that rom that is supposed to allow to you unlock a H811, when I use the dialer code to get into the unlock menu, all of the options show as permanently being locked, so it may not work at all for the app either.

ATT is in progress as they crack it T Mobile will be the same :highfive:
My understanding is that if one of the qualcomm variants (S7 or S7 Edge from Att, Sprint, Tmobile, etc) gets cracked they should all be the same (or at least extremely similar).

We have root. We don't have a an unlocked bootloader.
Edit--nevermind. I didn't know it had unlockable bootloader. Had to cancel order.
I didn't know Walmart sold Pixels but last not I found a pretty good deal. $849 for Pixel 2 xl 128GB. Thats $100 cheaper than Google Store. When I checked out with the Wal-Mart app they took off another $5 bringing the total with tax to $896.75
It may be a mistake on the website. I was considering saving money and going with the 64GB version but the price remained $849 regardless of which oneI selected (64 or 128).
I believe this only applies to the all black model.
I've gotta wait till Monday for it to arrive. I'm really excited to have a Google phone again!

Have you attempted to toggle OEM unlocking by using a temporary sim unlock?
I was wondering about this as well as the Verizon Pixel bootloader unlock method.

I was at the event and did get the phone and returned it because it was not the unlocked dual sim as they promised... Since I purchased the phone full price I was able to use the Tmobile APP on the phone to Sim unlock. The boot loader unlock requires a special bin file from Tmobile that takes up to 2 weeks to receive.

I'm asking about a temporary sim unlock. The device doesn't need to be paid off, and it will allow you to unlock the sim for 30 days. Lots of people are wondering if this will allow us to unlock the bootloader before paying off the device.

It has to be permanent unlock for the action to work. Many have tried to do it with Temp, and no luck. It's not hard to get TMO to give you the permanent unlock, I got it from them and still have payments on the device.

As others have stated, temp sim unlock won't work.
FWIW, I made two attempts requesting sim unlock through chat support. First I tried what others suggested, I was traveling more than 6 months and pushed pretty hard for a perm unlock. They would not budge.
Second attempt I chatted support again...this time I was a bit more creative and forthcoming...told them I was an app developer who needed an OEM unlock for development purposes, and a sim unlock is required to do so. Also told them I had no intention of selling the phone or using it off network. Few minutes later I had a perm sim unlock without ever making a single payment to the device, only 2 weeks after purchasing it. Also helped I was a 10+ year customer with 3 lines, but they were a bit more understanding with the story that time around.

I don't want to lie but seriously. Why won't they unlock me? We have 5 lines and been with them 15 years. They told me over and over that didn't matter.
Do you call them? I tried twice in same week and failed. So I waited a week and lucky the rep did it for me with no questions asked.
No need to lie since I'm leaving overseas soon.

You just have to be diligent and hope to get the right representative. I would suggest the TMO chat on their app or I've read people had a lot of success with TMO support chat on Twitter.
I just finally got things straightened out with Verizon and am successfully using dual sim TMO/VZW.
Well, I didn't get it at the event but the temporarily unlock worked for me. I bought the phone on 11/17 and the next day I was curious to try this app and voila!

It seems to me your phone has been blacklist by Tmo for an unpaid account so I dont think any of the sim unlock services can do anything about it. Is your phone working with Tmo network now?

Well, the balance is not on my account, I can't do anything about it. T-Mobile don't even want me to pay it off since I don't know whose account it was belong to
My main carrier is ATT. I wish I could use the rebranding method to get it sim unlock but I guess I am out of luck
As long as the balance is not paid off, you don't own the phone, T-mobile does. If and when the original owner stops paying it, you're screwed. Btw, T-mobile has a tool to check the IMEI and balance status: https://www.t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx

I met the seller at the T-Mobile store to check the IMEI when I purchased it. I am aware of the IMEI website.
Thank you for letting me know again that I am screwed, like T-Mobile has told me so.

Unfortunately I got scammed (I'll tell you at the end why lol) as well. I knew the phone had a balanced on it because it was my cousins and he assured me he would pay it off. He was just a little tight with money right now so I went for it. I knew I couldn't get it unlocked since it had a balanced owed. There's a thread on here to sim unlock. Wasn't very difficult to do but you have to convert it to international rom first just like the previous post said. It took me less than 30 minutes to do it. After 8 months ..Welp, he didn't pay it off! The guy totally changed his number and blocked me on social media which I thought was funny. Moral of the story **** happens and never assume they will pay it off.

He was just a little tight with money right now so I went for it. I knew I couldn't get it unlocked since it had a balanced owed. There's a thread on here to sim unlock. Wasn't very difficult to do but you have to convert it to international rom first just like the previous post said. It took me less than 30 minutes to do it. After 8 months ..Welp, he didn't pay it off! The guy totally changed his number and blocked me on social media which I thought was funny. Moral of the story **** happens and never assume they will pay it off.
