So I charged my g6 last night to 90+% and woke up this morning and the phone was at 0%!
Checked under battery and it says com.lge.gallery.contentservice used 63% overnight, and I cannot find it under system apps.
Any ideas?
thanks

Hey Guys,
this morning I woke up to a dead phone again. Which was odd, because i charged it to 100% a couple of hours before I went to sleep.
When I turned it on and plugged it into the charger I immediately went into the battery usage log and took these screenshots.
Now, I heard of problems with the N4, the battery not being the best and all, but is it normal for the phone to discharge in that time by just lying around?
Also, when I plugged it in, the displayed battery level climbed somewhat fast. It had 1% when I plugged it in and 10% a minute after that. While I write this, it's at 20% already.
Is this anything out of the ordinary or am I just imagining it?

Have you installed any new apps lately?
I'm betting you have a wakelock that is preventing your phone from entering deep sleep.
Download Better Battery Stats and see if it's wakelock causing it

Let's see... I installed UCCW (not used yet), Light Manager (changed LED settings slightly) and Fast Reboot.
Could the Light Manager be the problem? I'll go ahead and check those battery stats anyway...
EDIT: Oh, I also recently set up face unlock (stock feature) Should not be a problem though, since it's not an additional app, right?
So, after running on battery for a while I took these. Can you make any sense of it?
EDIT: Wanted to check the stats again after I had on battery for the night and it was dead again. Unfortunately the stats seem to be deleted when the phone restarts (or maybe when it's plugged in).
I decided to test my battery overnight. Here are the results
The battery was on 93% when I went to bed and 61% when I woke up, Shameful for such a new phone
Android OS used 59%???
Nothing download overnight, Only grabbed 1 email and 1 text message.
People who have this phone please test it for yourself and post the results

It's not the fault of the phone. Something fishy is chewing up your battery. Overnight battery lost should be 1-2% at the most assuming all wireless connections are turned off. The Android OS on my note3 takes up 15% at the most, and screen usually 50%+

I had 6% drain overnight. WiFi on and sync.I haven`t optimised my settings for battery usage yet as i`m too busy enjoying myself.
from around 01:00 to around 09:10 I had battery from 100 % to 93 % after fresh restart. wifi on whole time and good signal reception
I have fully charge my Note 3 and put it on "Plane Mode", Wifi Off, Bluetooth Off, NFC Off.
From midnight to 6:30 am, woke up by the Note 3 Alarm : still 100% !
Turn off the bloody WiFi, genius.

I will try that tonight, My guess is it'll make no difference, I shall report back in the morning
Tasker is possibly the culprit. Might want to make sure it isn't doing anything funny.

For me it makes the difference between 30% drain, and 1% over 10 hours. On any device. (it also means a 6 hour difference in charging, but that's not the topic of discussion at present.)
The problem is that the Wifi radio remains active, even without a connection, as it keeps searching for an active router.

Hello everybody! I have very anoying problem with my LG G2 (stock 4.4.2) Every night when i fall asleep it drains about 10% for 7-8hours overnight. I tried everything - turned off wifi and mobile data , KNOCK On/OFF and it still drain 10% . In the battery setting it shows that all the drain is from Cell Standby , so the next night i charged the phone to 100% and switched to air-plane mode + everything turned off and the phone still drain 9%-10%-11% for 8hrs no-useage. After airplane mode the battery show that "Phone idle" drain the battery.
PLEASE HELP ?

Download and Install BetterBatteryStats.
Once installed properly, charge your phone 100%, then unplug and leave it on over night. DO NOT USE IT DURING THE NIGHT.
The next morning, grab your "since unplugged" logcat from the application and post it into the thread and ask nicely for it to be reviewed, or you could review it yourself and use the GUI to see which resources are hogging the most battery.
It's a very user friendly application.

Hi Guys, i just got this phone 2 days back. i should really mention that its an wonderful device, great display, fluid usage, everything is quite fine except battery. The very first night i had left my phone for rest by switching off WiFi and Data connection with more than 35%, next morning i was in surprise, phone was not turning on at all, then after charging it for few min it booted back with 5% charging. the same thing happened last night as well, i had purposefully charger it to more than 40% and wholla in the morning it was just 5% remaining.
i'm on stock COS rom with no changes.
So you good people, i really ask u to help me,
Is it happening with other phones as well?
should i get a replacement as i still have return period?
Thanks in advance
Nope. Mine is perfect. What have you tried to find the cause for battery drain? ??

Thanks for your time.
May i know whats battery drop in idle mode, probably over night in your phone?
i have only installed only Whatsapp as of now and no other apps apart from the stock ones. when i check battery info everything seems to be okay with the apps apart from the constant battery decline in the graph.
I have reset my phone and trying to identify the cause of the battery drain.
please do share if you have any apps or tips to identify the cause.
Thanks again
Hi there
Topic says it all.. when I take the phone off the charger after it has got to 100%, it will stay awake until I start using the phone.
This might sound insignificant, but I normally charge my phone at night - and if I wake up at say 2am and it's charged I just unplug it. The next time I use the phone around 7am, the battery will be down to 93% or something. This is because the phone remains awake for this 5 hour period.
As soon as I start to actually use the phone, it will begin to sleep as normal. I know phones stay awake while on charge so it's almost like this continues when unplugged. Has anyone else noticed this or can someone test to see if theirs does the same? Basic test is:
1) Charge to 100%
2) Unplug ONLY - don't unlock the phone
3) Leave it idle for 30 mins
4) Check the battery stats
Phone is on stock NPN25.137-33
Thanks
James
I can confirm this.
When you check the battery stats, what thing consumes the battery there?

It will just say "phone idle" which is absolutely useless. I'm not rooted so trying to find a wake lock is more difficult... my guess is it would just classed as a charge wake lock even though the phone is unplugged.

Have you ever made any progress on working out what is causing it? I installed wakelock detector but nothing is jumping out at me.

I am not rooted so it is impossible for me to find the reason.
