Hello I bought a 7.7 galaxy tab and the sound recorder didn't appear.
If I go to system/app sound recorder.apk is there
How can I do to show it? It use android 3.2.
In the galaxy tab 7.0 plus didn't show too.

sound recorder apk is for internal use only. It is supposed to be hidden by default.
Anyways there is an app that allows you to use sound recorder like a regular app. User interface and everything. It is called "sound recorder" (just look for the one with the android-native icon).
Hope I could help you.

It seems as though Google killed Miracast compatibility now that Chromecast does screen mirroring. If you are like me and have one of each devices, you still may want to mirror to a Miracast device.
Required: Root
Navigate with a root explorer to your build.prop file located at /system/build.prop
Add the following line to the file:
Code:
persist.debug.wfd.enable=1
Save your build.prop file and reboot.
You should now see Settings > Display > Cast Screen > Menu > Enable Wireless Display
You should be good to go :good:
As noted in another thread, this will not work for netflix. It does work with watchespn, youtube, and amazon instant video.
Try Toaster cast on the play store.....
will this edit make screen cast work with the roku3? will try that prop build edit
confirm this works! i can do cast screen to my ROKU 3
I did the buildprop edit. Phone connects to TV but the sound is from the phone. Anyone else have this? Thanks

That's actually kind of cool. That would solve my late night movie watching where I want to watch on the big screen but have to turn the volume low. Is the audio synced at least?

Haha. Yeah ditto!
The problem I Post d about sound only coming from the phone was because of viper android sound mod. I deleted that as it also made my headphone jack inoperable unless I had a 3.5mm jack with a mic plug.

Does this work on 5.1? Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
Yes, It work with Moto g lollipop 5.1 Gpe and Ezcast dongle. But the video lags a lot with MX player... And there after the all mirroring lags...
Any settings need to be twisted...

I added this initially when I couldn't get my EzCast working however, I don't seem to need it now. I can full screen cast normally on 5.1, even though performance is poor
where do I put this code at and how do I save it

Be careful what you are doing, because it clearly says where to add it- in the build.prop file in /system/ folder, it also says add the "following line", so you know what to edit in the build.prop file. simply add the line in the bottom to keep it clear from everything else. be sure to make a back up copy of the build.prop file in case you accidentally delete something an forget what it was...very possible!
I am wondering if it is possible to enable this in the same way it was possible to enable wireless tethering using adb.
v--The way you fix wireless tethering is to do the following--v
Start an adb shell: adb shell
In the adb shell, run this command: settings put global tether_dun_required 0
So why can't we do the same for build.prop?
Can anyone verify that if I were to do the following it would do the same thing?
settings put build.prop persist.debug.wfd.enable 1
or something similar?
Android Marshmallow
I came across this thread when looking for a solution to the same issue with enabling wireless display. I am writing to let anyone who this helps know that this solution still works with Android Marshmallow.
Thank you GPS3 for supplying this solution.

I have an first gen Amazon FireTV which is hooked up to my surround sound and when I cast to it using the wireless display the sound goes over my surround sound system without issue. For more info, my N6 is currently running 10/27 - Cataclysm ROM (which did not have the wireless display option, until I followed this OP)
-Marc
I tried doing this but it said I did not have enough space and couldn't be saved, what do I do?

Most likely you are trying to cast protected content. Google play movies does this and i believe netflix too...maybe others but I cant recall. Anyway there is no way around playing DRM protected content through miracast.

Search for Quick Connect in Settings and enable Quick Connect Panel from the app settings, Quick Connect will be available when you pull down notifications bar. Turn on tv, enter quick connect, phone will scan and will find it. After you can view phone on tv and viceversa + other options. I`m on stock rom, don`t know about the rooting problem. Also using Samsung KU6472 smart tv.
Hope it helps.
I use the wiiwatch app to access that watch. but it's very limited. I have no way of using the watch sending text messages without the sim card. I can read the text messages but cannot reply unless I have sim card install. (witch in my case I don't have), I depend on the bluetooth/wifi connection from my phone. is there anyway to send or reply to my text messages from my watch?

It's certainly better app then the wiiwatch, atleast I'm able to reply to my text messages and much more, really like it and thank you .
The bluetooth on this watch keep connecting and disconnecting for no reason, and therefore I will lose connection to the app, I don't think is the app itself because even this is happen with wiiwatch as well. If I disconnect/reconnect bluetooth from my phone won't reconnect, I have to disconnect/reconnect bluetooth from my watch and then I will have connection again. anyone else have this issue.
My conclusion for the bluetooth disconnecting/connecting issue may be and more likely is the watch itself has some hidden app to turn off the bluetooth to save power and then turn it on a bit later to connect to the app. however I did look into the files section of the watch and I could not find any folder or app for power saving and since this watch is not rooted I cannot access the hidden apps. I was reading other post from someone who has Lemfo Y3 watch and he says that he was able to disable a hidden app called Battery Master and the method he used is accessing the notification log file using the google gesture app, anyway I did looked into that and no such app (battery master) been found. please if anyone has some success of solving this issue let us know...
I think the only solution is to change this firmware with one (original modified or compatible) that can make Bluetooth call and send sms and with stabile bt connectivity. The problem is don't have one. Just for i4 without camera but don't know if works...
