Hi. For the past few days, I have been trying to use Google as my preferred option for Autofill service. Till now, I still couldn't find the option. Is there a hidden option to enable/configure the Autofill options? I couldn't use Samsung Pass for my Autofill as I have previously rooted the device and it won't be able to open. Thank you in advance.

I just purchased a GT 10.1 on yesterday and went through the usual routine of signing in with my Google credentials to set everything up (used for about 2 hours, then applied the Touchwiz update). I'm wondering, is there a way to set up "profiles" or 'users' on the Tab (similar to a Windows PC) that requires a passcode for specific Google accounts, but still allow anyone else to use the tab but not have access to my info? My concern is that all of my gmail, gv, fb, twitter ect data is accessible through the tablet apps since everything is already signed in/synced. Or is my only recourse to use an app that allows passcodes to be placed on individual apps (I'm currently using ZD Box to accomplish this on my N1). I searched the net and hadn't found anything that addressed my question.
that would be awesome. I wondered the same thing but couldn't find anything

Hi
Try Smart App Protector, I've tested and it worked ok, there is a free and paid version as well.
Cheers
Having the ability to have two user logins would be awesome, then I could let my wife/daughter use the tab also. Not that I have anything to hide but would just rather them not have full access to all my accounts.
Ive just got my 2nd Note 3, which the first was returned with a faulty camera.
However, I cant use Samsung Hub due to the fact that I have more than 5 devices registered within the last 90 days and I cant deregister any one of them. I have had a run of bad luck since xmas and a few faulty S4s and now 2 N3s. My Samsung and play store accounts both work fine and I can log into my Samsung/allshare account via the Web, but i just cant use Samsung Hub, due to 5 devices limit Im surprised.. this seems a bit crazy.
Can anyone advise me how to deregister one of my old S4s or who i need to contact.
Thanks
SOLVED!
Ive solved it and I wanted to share the solution with the community because its stupidly buried....
You need to goto "Samsung Link" web page, not your samsung account and login with your normal samsung account user and pass you set up for your phone/Tab.
I cant quite remember how I got this, but you need get too Samsung apps and you should get a "my device" and a picture of your device on the top left. Click on the very small settings cog next to the words "main device".
Click the end tab "my device", scroll to the bottom of the list and click "Modify" and just uncheck every device youve sold or dont use and click "Update".. and there you go.. all your slots back that your not using.
I hope that helps someone.. but like i say... you may have to dig through the site a little,.. to find the "my device" page.
Good Luck
Hi,
I wanted to try the Kindle for Samsung app on my Galaxy S7 edge through the Samsung Apps store, especially the "one book per month free" option.
But upon clicking "Sign in" I get the popup that I already have a Samsung account within the account manager and it won't let me login - it does not show the login form at all. I guess it wants to create a new account and then fails. See attached screenshot.
I have already removed the samsung account and then tried to login via the Kindle app. Upon clicking the sign in button, the login form shows up, then I have entered the credentials and got sent back to the "sign in" page and afterwards the same error message as in the screenshot occurs... haha
does this work for you?

Same problem here ...
thanks for the info, which country are you from? i wanted to contact amazon support (the email listed in the app), they redirected me to Amazon Germany (as this is my home market place) and they have no clue and redirected me to US support again. US support said i should contact them via chat and now the guy in the chat says I should contact Germany again *lol* and the German chat support just told me now I should contact Samsung... haha, reminds me of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI5kwSap9Ug
Exactly the same question
I have met the same problem and already got connection with Samsung HK. The customer service staff told me that they met the same problem as well and they would report this to Samsung. He also advised me to wait several weeks for the update of the kindle for Samsung...
Solution!
This worked for me, from another website: I had the same problem. The fix is pretty simple, since you have an S7 Edge I'll assume you have Android Marshmallow 6.0? Just do the following Go to Settings 》Applivations 》 Application Manager 》 Select Kindle 》Now here you will find "Permissions" click on that. 》 Grant all 3 permissions I.e Contact, Storage and Telephone . Now go to your Kindle by Samsung and click Samsung Book Deals and Voila!
thanks very much, that worked! strange that this is disabled by default, guess they didn't bother to update the app for android 6 yet
Thank you. Didn't think of looking there and was getting irritated.

It works. Really thx.
Strange it is that the kindle for SAMSUNG is not set the permissions as default in A SAMSUNG phone and lacks the notification Of permission allow
Thanks for the tip ...
But you don't have to switch all permissions.
For me it works when grant permissions to contacts. Storage and telephone is still disabled.
Thank you, this worked for me too.
I want to turn off the lock screen, not even swipe, but there is no "none" option in Security settings. Originally, my phone was an Amazon ads phone, but I paid the $50 to get rid of ads (spent hours trying to remove using debloater tool from this website but hit brick wall). I thought maybe that was what was preventing the "none" lock screen option, but I still don't see it. I have Android 6.0.1.
Any suggestions? Does anyone who has an Amazon phone (with or without ads) see the "none" option in Security settings for lock screen? (with Android 6.0.1+)
Thanks!
I believe the issue you are experiencing is related to the presence of a guest account. On older versions of the g if there was a guest account the none option for the screenlock disappeared. I just tried to disable the guest account on my prime g4, but don't see a way to actually remove the account.
I can't seem to figure out how to remove/disable the guest user account...

Unless you're rooted I don't believe you can remove it.
Hi,
I don't know if anyone had similar issue.
I bought Tab s5e recently, configured everything in my account, and then created second account (normal one, not the restricted )
In result I got two accounts : mine (administrator) and my wifes (normal user )
Issue is that while I can launch DeX on my account without any problems, on my wifes account DeX is unavailable. The option in settings (Settings > Advanced ) is just grayed out .
Is there a way to trigger it manually , make second account an admin or something ?
Best Regards
Did you manage to solve this? I am having the exact same issue
Not currently supported, to the best of my knowledge, on a consumer level.
Wow! How often do you google a problem and find someone with the exact same tablet model?! Unfortunately, I have nothing of value to add. Same tablet, same issue, and the same wife asking me HOW I could not have googled this BEFORE I bought the tablet XP
I have the same exact issue. Wish there was a work around or a way for the secondary user to be allowed to use Dex on the Tab S5e. It is like a tease that it shows it but doesn't allow you to use it.
Same here on tab s5. But its not stated anywhere. I am extremely pissed off.
