I just took one with 50x zoom. No tools. Just 50x, hold still, hit shutter button.
Night shot is cool.

Is there any way to take a photo using the volume keys on the phone?
There seems to be no easy way to take self portraits using the stock camera app.
I don't want that to sound weird but I just want to take pictures of me and the kids and I've suddenly realised how difficult it is to do it with the stock app!
Even a 5 second delayed shutter would be fine..

You do realize there is a front facing camera, don't you?
Try out an app called Camera JB+ Looks just like stock and has what you're asking for.

Lol, yeah I walked right into that one!
I tried the front camera but the quality was not great!
Camera JB+ looks nice but doesn't have HDR or PhotoSphere modes!

Install the cyanogenmod cam. There you have delayed shutter, voice shutter, Hdr and you can take photos by pressing the power button. But it don't have photosphere. There are zips available on xda where you have both cams.

I am tired to find taking screenshot from my verizon samsung galaxy s5.. Where i can get it now?
Are you asking how to take a screen shot? Make a karate chop hand... Stance... And slide it across your screen from left to right
I am lacking a vocabulary right now.
Sent from my SM-G900V using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
I think it's easier to press the power button and home button at the same time.
Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I have found that the karate chop...shot... is easiest, except when it comes to taking Screenshots in Snapchat! Then I have to hold the screen on photo, and do home/power.

ok. Thanks:good::good:
I've had this phone a couple of days and taking outside or inside photos near a window is a nightmare! Photos have a bad blur around the window or outside! Maybe it's just me but I'm really not impressed with it! Photos look a bit misty! Is it me or is it this camera?

with your fingers?
maybe you've left the stock transparent sticker on your lens...
btw even dslr cameras struggle in taking clear pictures without good polarizing filter glass on the lens... so...
being a dslr camera owner - g2 has one of the best cameras i've seen on the mobile device... i was stunned with the image quality, sharpness and color...
if you're rooted and have custom recovery - try xdabbeb's camera mod
Thinking it could be the lens cover!!! If so might just sell it lol

which just gave me an idea to try to shoot some photos with and without the polarizing filter from my dslr camera (duct taped of course )
Yeah I understand that but as I say if any daylight hits anywhere on my photo it gets misty I think if could be the lens cover

Hi Again
I caved in an bought another g2 to see if my blurred pictures were a hardware fault or just due to a crappy g2 camera, looks like my new g2 takes pictures of simular quality to my s4
Sorry to say but sounds like your g2 camera module needs replacing or the phone itself.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app
This was my old g2 with the same pic. I think the glass scratches on the lens had something to do with it.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app
Although, i still think the s4 is crisper and cleaner (but a bit dimmer) at indoor shots with incandescent lighting.

your pictures remind me of my old Optimus 2x device which had blurry images like that because of a lousy plastic cover over lens...

The resolution in the 240fps mode is reduced to 720 as that's all the system can handle. The quality is reduced from normal HD video.

I understand that but I have seen some videos out there and mine don't cone anywhere near as good quality I will take a video and show you

Wow, I haven't noticed that before but I just tried it 240fps on my phone and it's exactly the same as you. Perhaps it's because of the artificial light? I'm not sure.

It's been the same with any type of light the viewfinder actually shows that same quality when recording too. It concerns me as when looking at the below is such good quality

I'm not sure what would cause it. Have you got the new camera app that was released yesterday? I'm using that, perhaps it's a problem with that? I'll try it tomorrow in daylight again but yeah, 240fps looks a mess on mine.

You can uninstall updates in the app section using the top right hand corner 3 dots button. I just uninstalled it and quality is the same.

In that case I'm wondering is the camera at fault, normal video and photos are fine

I have a 5X also and used it the other day at sunset taking a 120fps slo-mogolf video and it did a great job. I just got my 6P 2 days ago and have tried the 240fps in great lighting outdoors and its far worse than the 5X at 120. Not liking this. I was expecting the opposite.
The slow motion needs a lot of light to be good quality. Since it's essentially taking 240 720p photos a second, its sensor won't receive much light per frame in low light situations.
The flickering occurs with artificial light because of AC electricity. Your lights actually dim and brighten with the changing direction of current, however it is mostly imperceptible by the human eye, but entirely perceptible by 240FPS!

The sun was as bright as it could be today when I took the 240. I guess I was expecting more. I will just stick to 120 or just take regular video and slow it down with Adobe.
Does anyone here know how to capture clear pictures of the stars in the sky? Is it even possible with the S7 Edge?
I'd imagine I would need to keep the shutter open for a long time and have the phone rest on a tripod. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to keep the shutter open long enough. The stock camera app only lets you keep it open for a few seconds.
I've never try it yet, but have you try using the third party camera?

Which 3rd part camera?
I tried it using the pro settings and keeping the shutter open as long as the built in camera app allows but it doesn't let enough light it.
I know I'm asking for a lot considering how small the sensor is and I can get the shots im looking for with a Cannon DSLR and a Samsung NX 500 but I'm just trying to see how I can do with the S7E.
