I've noticed that holding down the location icon in the notifications drawer no longer leads to the menu where you can choose the level of location precision.
Also, the toggle used to turn on/off GPS and now it's a global location toggle. I preferred the old way of keeping on the network/wifi location all the time and only turning on GPS when I want to.
Is the setting still available somewhere?
Nope, this is how location services works on Android 10

There's no option on the notification bar to turn GPS on and off. My Nexus 4 just came in today. I switched over from Galaxy S2. I always had GPS turned off on my S2 until I use maps and navigation. On the Nexus 4 I have to go into the settings menu. Not very convenient.

Not on stock. Custom roms have the option to add it to the quick settings. Alternatively you can add the power control widget to your homescreen.
In my experience, leaving GPS on doesn't effect battery life. It stays idle until its called. Saves the need for toggling it on and off.
If you want quick toggles in your notification bar, you should try Widgetsoid app.
My wifi turns itself on automatically. How to I stop it from doing so?
I noticed no optimizer in settings so I can't adjust that option as many have mentioned.

Have you turned off always allow scanning? It's in settings ,WiFi push the menu key then select advanced
I noticed something strange the past few day. The location settings on on my 6P change to "Battery Saving" every time the screen is off. When I turn it back on and change it to high accuracy, it automatically reverts back to battery saving after I turn off the screen.
It used to work fine because Runkeeper and Runtastic used to track perfectly with screen off, but now as soon as I turn off the screen the gps location is lost. Any idea?
Running latest May update, with Xposed and gravity Box.
I enabled power saving mode when at work and bluetooth on when at home just to try the functionality.
It turns off when I turn off location completely but i dont want to do that.
But where do I turn all these based on location autosettings off? I can't find it in settings and its driving me crazy!
I solved it!
You disable automatical settings based on location via the edge panel with locations!
The wifi signal in the notification panel of my stock A1 has gone missing, but wifi is connected and active. I cannot find how to get it back - any ideas?
Pull down your notifications
Pressed and hold the settings shortcut for few seconds
Go to settings>System>System UI Tuner>Status Bar> Wi-Fi
