volume and sound issue - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Ever since I got this phone even on stock firmware, if I turn the phone off and then turn back on my volume and sound go away. This is not including reboots. phone works fine after a normal reboot. It is just when I turn it off to charge and then turn back on. So I decided to go ahead and flash havoc ROM and I'm still having the same issues. Anyone else experiencing this?
In order for me to fix this I have to dirty flash the zip again.
Sometimes just accessing twrp I get this issue.
Edit... This is happening on every rom I flash
2 edit... sometimes clearing dalvik and cache brings back sound (while rooted running any ROM) and even on stock firmwares , turning off phone I will eventually have to reboot recovery(stock) and wipe data, dalvik and or cache. Weird issue! Anyone?

[Q] Why doesn't my Bluetooth work?

Hey guys,
The core issue is this:
When I click enable Bluetooth it stays stuck on turning on for around 15 seconds before it goes back to green and then "tries again" by turning half-green (turning on status) and then again.
Once in a few attempts (one in a hundred or so), the Bluetooth gets turned on but gets shut off for unknown reason within around 15 seconds.
This core issue happened with the following:
Omega rom after full wipe.
Arrow rom after full wipe.
Ozcan rom after full wipe.
And most amazingly: Stock rom after full wipe.
Yes, this issue even happens with stock rom.
Full wipe includes dalvik cache, cache, system, data, internal SD card.
Now, is this a hardware issue or a software issue?
What should I do?
Thanks!

Wifi and Hotspot not working

I flashed CM12 on my S3 Neo (I9300I) using CWM then after a few weeks, I decided to flash the Stock ROM (I9300IXWUBNL1_I9300IOXEBNL2_SER.zip) and then wiped data and cache. After flashed, Wi-Fi does not turn on. Even the Hotspot. When I slide the switch, it reverts back instantly to off. I flashed again another firmware, but of the same device model (I9300IUBUBNK2_I9300IZTOBNK2_ZTO.zip) and wiped data and cache again. Still no luck. Still dosen't turn on. What could have happened?

I'm in a similar boat. after flashing a full rom (roughly 980mb), I found that my wifi.kr files apparently need to be replaced. i'm using a I9300IXXUBNH3, and am having trouble finding the files without having to completely wipe and image the phone, root, grab the files, then install recovery and install the rom... it's a bit drawn out for my liking.
Have you got wipe dalvik cache and cache, and when the problem stays, have you got reflash the rom?
When the problem stays, try an diffrent rom. I didnĀ“t know, that your Device is rooted.

Messed up software (maybe)

Hello, so I got an s4 GT-I9505 that had a cracked screen so I fixed it.
Phone booted as it should and worked fine for few minutes, then things started to crash (statusbar, touch wiz home), it starts to lag and behave very weird so I decided to do factory reset - same stuff happened.
So I flashed CM12 everything works fine besides the fact I dont have sound.
So I flashed back to stock using odin and pit file, it boots to stock sometimes it has sound and sometimes it doesn't, also it crashes like it used to after few minutes and reboots to bootloop.
I flashed CM12 again so I can use the phone somehow, but whenever I go into the AudioFx app it crashes so do other apps that need sound either crash or lag.
What is the issue? I'd love to stick to stock rom but I cant use it as it keeps crashing.
How do I fix this problem it's important for me to have this phone working.
Did you do full wipe before flashing?and is the screen original or chinese?
Try a custom stock rom.

I don't really know, got it on ebay for 50 pounds. And I did a full wipe using the stock recovery.
Possible loose connection somewhere?
Flash twrp and then wipe all..make wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe system, wipe dalvik cache and wipe data.all these from advanced wipe.then turn off phone and put it in dowload mode.then flash stock rom using odin.this is the cleanest way to flash rom.maybe in system is something from cm and messes up with stock.as for the sound it may be from the screen.some chinese screens make phones lag, even not boot up.
I forgot to add that I get sound at the boot animation but after that no sound at all
I have installed costum rom F14 on the 4.4.2 android version. It makes the modified boot noise and the sound works for for a few minutes, only sometimes but.
Anybody?

When WiFi is turned off I get 'Unfortunately System UI has stopped'

This is on two standard Galaxy S5's, with standard ROM, etc - not rooted, or anything else.
Every time I turn off WiFi, or enable Mobile Hotspot, I get 'Unfortunately System UI has stopped'.
To fix I have to Power off/on the phone.
(Turning on WiFi is no problem, just turning it off.)
I have gone into 'Safe Mode', and same issue, so it looks to not be a bad App.
I have also uninstalled 'Google' updates, and again no change...
Any thoughts?
All of a sudden my S5 showed the exact same error message for no aparent reason... I didn't do anything, and now I can't use my phone at all because of that bug. It happens on every boot so I can't even unlock my phone. Tried reinstalling everything, ROM, recovery, kernel, with/without root = still same, what just happened here??
EDIT: Same thing if I'm in Safe Mode -_-
Seeing noone knows a solution here's what I did yesterday.
1. Backed up all my stuff from internal storage to the sd card
2. Did factory reset in TWRP recovery
3. Flashed completely stock official firmware from Samsung
4. Waited for it to boot up and try to restore some of my settings (it restored all folders on their places, made same amount of home screens as I had before the reinstall and downloaded all of my previously installed apps from the Play Store, ofcourse without the cracked ones, and it also restored most apps' data as well so it's not as bad as you may think to factory reset and reinstall everything)
5. Started rooting, flashing TWRP again, installing Dolby Audio, Xposed and everything I had before, took me one full day to set it up as it was before.
Now when I set it up I always make a nandroid backup from when things are working fine, in case it goes crazy for no reason again... Good luck!
when the wifi radio is acting weird, a dirty flash of your current ROM susually fixes is as its probably a radio issue. Id do that before doing anything drastic like the boot-n-nuke Odin flash and starting from scratch (which will fix that issue)
I don't think I have a ROM issue, as I have two S5's, and both have the same issue... and both are standard ROMs.
I will do a factory re-set on one at some point, but this looks to be a 'simpler' issue.
I have tried a full Cache delete, as well as other 'clean' processes.
Nothing works.
I tried to re-flash my stock ROM as @youdoofus said but still had that annoying popup. Try everything you can think of, if all else fails, reset.

well, you can wipe cache, and dalvik 3x each (not kidding about the 3x each), then dirty flash the rom, pray to the gods of android, reboot. If failure occurs, its Odin Nuke time unless you want to try to flash an individual radio file by itself (not recommended)

Can't boot without wiping cache

Well, let me explain.
I have a SM-G935F, and it was really bad, with apps crashing literally everytime, random reboots and etc.
I've flashed the latest firmware and it works good, but sometimes, the system just power off with no apparent reason, and when it happens the phone just doesnt boot without cleaning the cache.
I have to force shutdown, enter recovery and clear the cache, and then reboots. After that, everything works fine.
But its really annoying and shouldnt be happening.
Any solutions?
Maybe U didnt do it correctly.Do a custom rom or do stock again ...with care...
