Mi A1 Color Calibration help - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

I just replaced my Mi A1's LCD screen cause last one was broken. The screen color is now too cold, the whites are yellowish. I just factory reset my phone. Also I have this problem that tapping the back and activity buttons (physical button on the chin) when it is locked wakes the phone up, I don't want this cause it causes accidental wakes when it is in my pocket. Any custom ROM or apps that can help me with this? I also need gcam.

damaged display resolution

Hello,
after installing some applications my display resolution is somehow damaged.
The whole screen is flickering and everything is more bright than before.
The screen looks strange as every horizontal line of the display is followed by a thin dark line, so that the whole screen is in stripes.
Furthermore the icons and text seems to be slightly bigger.
In the settings the info claims to have 800x480 and 65k colors.
All applications still work fine, but look strange with the stripes and the flickering.
What worries me most is that even after hard reset the damaged screen resolution is kept.
I hope someone has a solution.

Interlacing
That's strange, it sounds like interlacing. When you say you did a hard reset do you mean a proper hard reset, as in, turn off, two silver soft keys and reset button under battery cover, reinstalls the OS?
If you did that and it isnt fixed then it looks like you have a hardware problem. It sounds like a sync issue because it's giving the effects of interlacing (i don't think the screen is interlaced, it shouldn't be, but it's possible).
In that case, you need a new phone.
documented hard-reset
Hi alias_neo,
the reset I did was with the silver buttons and the power button.
It then asked me if i really wanted to continue and had to press the R-key.
It then took a few minutes until the phone was up again and it was a fresh install.
If some software was able to change the display to interlaced, there must be a way to reverse it again.
Regards,

Solved
The way the damage came the same way it went away again.
Suddenly the interlaced dislpay stopped

[Q] Green/Yellow hue on screen & Screen goes black immediately when placing call.

First. A while back, I replaced my digitizer and in the process I damaged the LCD. From the middle of the screen up there were lines and the whole screen developed a Green/Yellow hue. I just replaced the LCD and still have the green/yellow hue. l've perforned a factory reset but the problem is still there. Could this be a software glitch?
Second. When using the phone, after I dial the number & hit call, the screen immediately goes black. The call still goes thru, but I can't get the keypad to come up. When I try to hit any of the keys on the button strip, they start to light up but then immediately go dark again. There doesn't appear to be anything in the way of the proximity sensor. Any ideas?
Sounds like you have some major hardware problems going on. Just to be sure before sending it back for service I would try flashing a new ROM. It sounds like it's gonna be a complete shot in the dark, but i've seen weird stuff happen like this before, only to be solved by a custom ROM. Check out the stickies on how to flash a new ROM, how to apply HardSPL etc. if you haven't done so before.

Screen replaced in unauthorized service

After screen replacment (screen+digitizer) in unauthorized service when I touch screen with a small pressing force on screen I can se little discoloration (like this when You touch monitor screen). It is normal in replaced screen?
That should never happen unless the glass is actually touching the screen or it is software-related, although I have never seen a ROM do that.
that's completely normal imo.. I had 2 G2s all of them had that issue. and my friend's g3 also has that.. in my instance it's not discoloring the screen.. it's like a small transparent ripple effect.. may be you have a different issue ?
My g2 with the original screen has a slight ripple when you press on it firmly. Probably all of them do... including your old one, but you didn't notice it. Now you're being hyper critical because you got it replaced at a 2nd rate place. If the color and touch accuracy/sensitivity is good then don't worry about it.
I'm not pro, but this never happend with screens that I replaced.

Screen replaced, problem when blocking screen

Bought a screen on ebay, took it to a friend that replaced it soo bad that he even cracked it.
Other than that the screen is ok.
But there is a problem when I block the screen pressing the power button, after pressing it again to resume what I was doing it won't turn on.
I mean, it turns on but with stripes and lines black and white.
Initially is all black, then it turn slowly white. the touch digitizer is working but the lcd has serious problems.
Turning completely off the phone reset this.
Someone can help me find out what it can possibly be?
Some wrong contacts?
Thanks so much
Did you fix it?
My D802 after two years of display replacement, started to perform laggy and I can't unlock the screen once it is locked. I can see a low white light in the background but the display dont turn on.

[HELP] Green Tint and Touch Problem on Non-Overclocked Screen After Replacement

Hi, everyone. I'm new on XDA. I need some help to fix issues on my phone. So long story short, I dropped my 9T and had the the screen replaced. However, the replacement screen has a very weird green tint on most brightness level, which from what I have researched, only appears on 9T with overclocked screen. Mine is not overclocked. The green tint only disappear at either under 10% brightness level or above 80%. However, I am very sure this is software problem because (1) the green tint disappear when the fingerprint sensor is touched (when it lights up) on the lockscreen, and if I release the fingerprint, before it unlocks, the tint disappear. It become normal. This in on MIUI
(2) on AOSP (I have unlocked the bootloader and tried different custom roms but yield no result) the same behaviour occured. When fingerpirnt is touched on low brightness, tint disappear.
Then I also have this touch problem where practically, if I touch 2 points on the screen which is close, the screen will register my touch as a small swipe. This is really annoying when typing, and I cannot play some rhytm games too because of this. Again, I am quite confident that this is software problem.
Similar problem happened years ago on a OnePlus One phone. Some said it was resolved after an update. Some said OnePlus has fixed it. Others doesn't experience it at all : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/faulty-touch-screen-typing-fast-t2829175
Maybe the default driver from XIaomi isn't compatible with my replacement screen? Or other problems?
I have actually claimed the repair warranty once, because the previous screen also had this problem, plus a blue colour on the side. But the same thing happened here (the green tint and touch problem)
Ps : I am confident the AMOLED panel of the replacement screen is original or at least of the same quality as the original beacuse the colour is very vibrant just like the original one.
Can someone help me with this issue? I am willing to provide any logs or system info or anything.
Thank you! Any help or response is appreciated!!

Please go to the place who replaced the device and ask them to check the screen in another device or ask them to clean the contacts with 99% isopropanol and re attach it.
Hello! I'm having the exact same problem on my Mi A3 - green tinted screen + faulty touchscreen after replacing it, all in the same conditions as yours. What did you do? Did you manage to fix your screen? I'm guessing your solution is probably adequate for me too!
If anyone could help me out with this issue, it'd be really nice! In the store, they replaced my screen 3 times already (the last time, it was supposedly an "original screen", more expensive and harder to get) and the problem still remains... I'm getting desperate over this!
