thanks.
Are there any detailed instructions for use? There is no mirusb interface on the motherboard. Do you need to short the test points behind the motherboard when flashing? Do I need to connect to a power source?

If your unit is completely dead then you need to go with test points. Check out this thread for info
You can view my post here to get everything you need to debrick your unit while installing the latest mod with Root, TWRP, ViperFx etc.
I have a brick radio YT9213AJ and I can't get it going. Black screen and won't start. When connecting with a USB cable, the device manager of the computer does not detect the driver. It detects it only for 2 seconds after shorting the test points on the board and inserting the cable into the USB. I'm trying to fix Flash Tool but can't. During memory dump and proloader installation from file "YT9213AJ_Full_Memory_Dump_Aug2020_Android9.1_ROOT_TWRP_ViperFX_Custom.BootLogo" it starts checking and reports an error (1042). When I install the original ROOM from the "xygala.com" site, of course after shorting the test points and plugging the cable into the USB port, it starts working and after 10-12 seconds it reports a DRAM error (5054). Please help.
I attach the screens of the displayed errors.
Edit:
I've already dealt with the following:
By shorting the test points, I turned on the Write Memory button, then I connected the USB cable to the computer and when the red strip in Flash Tool started, I disconnected the test points and at the same time turned on the 12V power supply.

Dear Bros,
I have a very serious problem here with my 818pro, which noone may have encounter in this forum, let me tell you in sequence:
1)First, after I downgrade my rom with this file Customize_rom_PDAMobiz_Editon_Upgrade_Rom_for_IPLSPL_2.15.0001_v.1.02.rar, I was unable to power up from USB. I can only power up using the wall mains.
2)After powering up from my wall mains, I upgrade my OS using this file
AKU3.3.07.ASERG .
3)After upgrade and hard reset, I am unable to boot up using both the wall mains and even the USB! My display just went blank, and my two leds (orange and blue) keep blinking on and off.
4)I connect my 818pro using USB to PC but cannot go into the bootloader mode nor boot up into the OS.
5)I connect using my wall mains (but not link to PC) and is able to go into bootloader screen, but still unable to boot up into the OS.
Here, I am unable to perform any upgrade/downgrade of ROM using the mains power as I cannot connect to my PC at all!
6)Worst case, I do not have any ROM backup file on my SDcard, therefore am unable to do anything at all!
7)Lastly, can any of you expert brothers here able to advise me wat to do now, or able to provide me with any SDcard rom backup for the 818pro, as I guess that is the only option out for me now???
Would be deeply grateful to the kind brothers here for helping me out! Sorry for the long story which may be confusing.
Best Regards

Hey man, you're not alone.. my 818pro do act like that sucks things as yours...
hoping expert's help ,too.....
solved...just replace a new battery...haha..
really? replace a new battery will help? why is that so??? my battery is still good , and the only thing i did to **** up the pda is just reflashing the rom to a wrong one.
what happen when u replace a new battery? can share?
get the battery out.
cut your charger cable open
the inner cable, the one inside of the inner white one connects to pin 1 from the physical top.
the outer one of the charger cable connects to the fifth pin from the physical top
no you go into bootloader and connect the usb cable, flash over another rom and try if it works... GET OUT THE BATTERY BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE PINS mine got damaged because of that
hey thanks! i've successfully unbricked my 818pro and flashed it with os 1.013, a very early version, and only that seems to work! I had tried flashing to aku3.3 clean rom from pdamoviz but it stuck at the splash screen after successful flashing.
another funny thing, although i unbricked my 818pro, i can still only soft reset it thru my charger instead of usb. If i soft reset while on usb power, the device will just shut off and show blue and orange flashing leds. Do u have a workaround for this problem?

hI,How did you flash the rom? You could not go into bootloader mode, nor connect through usb. Please give the procedure used, because I have the same problem. Thanks.
no and there are still a lot of problems for me... I bricked 2 batterys already for example but I'm working on it ... but its a little bit different as I flashed a Wizard bootloader and I have no idea what happened with your phone^^ but something else... I know the problem though, often my phone doesn't even bootup after soft reset if its connected to the charger...

3, When I tried to do it via PB + KITL method - KITL not supported in my device
4, None of shipped or cooked ROMs was succesfull, I tried about 10 differents.
5, I tried to boot HardSPL, Stripped Roms, but without succes...
6, I tried to make a USB connection via MTTY but no USB signal recognised....
Help me pls
Weak Battery
Since it appears from your post that you can get bootloader, you probably have a battery without enough juice in it to finish the ROM flash. I had that problem because I don't have an external battery charger, and the battery will not charge in the phone when there is no OS loaded. To overcome this chicken-and-egg problem, I cut open an old USB cable and used the 5V power from a USB hub to power the phone at the battery contacts to complete the flash. Once the ROM loaded, I was able to get a charge on the old battery.
After you cut the USB cable, strip a little off the red and black cable power cables. Take out your phones battery and look for the + and - and see where each contact lines up on the phone. Put the red power on the "+" contact and the back power on the "-" contact and carefully replace the battery to hold the wires in place. Make sure the the wires are perfectly aligned on the correct + and - contacts before plugging the USB cable into a powered USB hub. You now will have a steady 5V to complete your flash.
very thanks for your advice, I'll try it, but I have one cuestion: Can I flash new ROM during a process when battery is in the phone and connected to USB "power" as you recommend it?
Yes! I should have stated that you need two USB cables. You still need the USB data cable that connects the phone to the computer like normal. You need an old USB cable to cut for the power/battery connection. Keep in mind that this trick is only relevant when you don't have a strong, fully charged battery and no way to charge the battery to full power. Another option is to buy a new pre-charged battery for your phone and then try flashing.
I used a powered USB hub for my power connection, not the computer USB port. I did not want to take the chance of shorting my motherboard's USB port.
PS: As long as you can get the bootloader screen, you're not bricked.
Ok, thx, I've got both cables prepared, so I'm going to try this I'll write the result when ends
without sense... Always saying ERROR 270 - Image file corrupted (after 1% - 7%).

i CAN't connect it with my pc and rsd lite can't detect my phone when i plugged it in!
also, i can't charge it via PC nor the power supply(i have tried using moto's one and a unofficial power supply)
but the most wired thing is i can charge it via an"portable battery"
maybe it is an hardware problem and i can't flash back to my official sbf
warranty is now void?
or can i flash a SBF without connect to PC?
give me a now hope plz
Have you tried the boot loader mode (forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Motorola_Defy):
---------------------------------
How to get rsdlite to recognise a phone that won't boot
You flashed, something happened, now screen is black, phone doesn't react, u are in a boot loop, rsdlite cant recognize the phone. you're right here.
To get RSDLIte to recognize your phone you have to enter boot loader mode. this means press VOL-UP + POWER If nothing helps, try pushing VOL UP before!' you put the battery in (RSDLIte should be running and awaiting a new connection at that time) If you are using Windows 7, try seting RSDLite to "compatibility mode: Windows XP SP3".
i have tested the connection in bootmenu and RSDLITE not able to recognize my phone
any ideas?
Hello
Please somebody help me. My notebook doesn't recognise my DEFY via USB. More details: When I got the phone it worked but after a while not always. Sometimes it connected 5 minutes later but nowadays doesn't work at all. By the power charger it's charging normally.
When it's plugged to the computer, the phone's screen lights up, but doesn't connect or charge. If I tick on/off meanwhile the USB debug, the USB sign shows up but it's still not charging or connecting. (I've already tried all 4 options)
Moreover when I remove the USB cable, the USB signal doesn't disappear until I restart the phone or abort the USB in the application manager.
I've already tried to install or uninstall the driver (Moto Helper) but didn't help.
The main problem is that if I connect the phone to the notebook, the device manager doesn't see it. (I tried different computers, Win XP and Win 7)
I did a factory reset several times but nothing happened.
I think there was an automatic software update and maybe the problem started at this time.
This is my first Android phone and I'm not an expert so I really need your help.
I wanted to install a new ROM but the RSD lite doesn't see the phone neither in Bootloader mode. It says: "Connect USB Data Cable" and when I connect it says: "USB" so recognises something.
I'm trying to fix it for weeks but I can't find to solution.
System version: 34.177.3.MB525.Retail.en.GB
Build no: JOREM_U3_3.4.2_177-3

Sorry about my English and thank you for your help.

Hey poross, I guess that your problem seems like a virus activity or maybe a faulty USB cable. Try another USB cable and another PC (with a good antivirus running, indeed!). Before connecting to the new PC, reset your defy...
I just hope it helps. If not, maybe your defy has a hardware problem...
If you are using windows 7 make sure that you installed good drivers for system x86/x64. I'm using RSD on Windows 7 X64 and I have no problems with it. Check in device manager for some unknown devices after plug phone to USB. If system wont see any new device after plugging it wont be driver problem but something wrong with phone, usb cable or usb port. Even if driver fails system should see the phone like unknown device or something.

actually,i am in bootloader(versoin 9.10) and rsdlite still not able to detect my phone =..=
but i notice that when i plugged it in,the phone showed "transfer mode USB"
but nothing happened in rsdlite,no info of device properties.....
what the hell.....
To tommy:
Let's make a conclusion:
1-You have the correct drivers but RSDLite doesn't recognize your phone even in the bootloader mode
2-The charger can't charge your battery
3-The portable battery CAN charge it! (So the phone connector has no problem)
So: It is most likely that you've got a faulty usb cable
Thanks for dealing with my problem
Chamelleon: The device manager doesn't see anything while the cable is plugged but the phone detects something -probably the USB power- but doesn't connect at all. It happpens in the bootloader mode as well so detects the USB cable but it seems that the phone doesn't send sign to the computer. I haven't had any problem with USB detection, connection (except this phone) for a long time.
MMarv: You mean there's a virus on the phone? if it's the situation, installing a virusbuster to the phone could solve it? Which one is a good prog?
I tried with 3 different cables and still not working. With the wall plug charger and the car's USB socket are ok but none of them charges from the notebook.

I mean Virus on your laptop. Hard reset your phone and try another PC with a good anti-virus installed!
So if cable is ok, usb port in pc and phone is ok it must be driver problem. Delete all what appears as Motorola driver including drivers from system32 and then install it again. You can also try to install it on different PC with 32 bit system. Do not install any unknown drivers, just install Motorola Media Link or Motorola Software Update cause if you have this one and some different it can be problem. Or you just have something wrong with system. First try on different pc with drivers from MML or MSU.
Succeeded.
The solution was incredibly simple. It was strange when I did a factory reset (4 times) and rebooted the phone it restored my acccounts, shortcuts, settings. I ticked off two things: settings/Privacy/Back up my data and Automatic restore. Then took out battery then I put it back and began the reset. After it the phone forgot really everything of my details and now the USB is working perfectly.

Hey Tommy,
I nearly bricked my defy, and the battery was low too. RSDite not able to recognize it. It seemed that charger can't charge the battery either. But I was wrong. The charger was actually charging the battery. I removed the back cover with the charger connected and the battery in place. I tested the two outer connectors of the battery with a voltmeter (when the battery is in place, they are slightly exposed). Initially the voltage was about 3 volts and steadily increased... Test it if you can. If it is not charging, I bet that it is a phone connector problem. You should return it and I think they can repair it easily...
Hi Tommy1994
First I'm not an expert, this is my first android phone.
My probelm was (I think) an android error. I made factory reset 4 times but it always restored my details. (It's not a perfect FR). After it I did a bit different FR:
-1. in the normal android/ settings menu/Privacy/Back up my data -thick off. So it won't make any backup
-2. swich off the phone
-3. take the battery out for 30sec then put back
-4. press the volume down and hold it while you press the power on button but hold the volume down for more 4 sec. you will see an android robot with an exclamation mark.
-5. press the volume up and down together that's how you enter to the Recovery menu.
-6. first chose the "Wipe cache partition" (you can move with the volume buttons and select with the power button) -wait till "Cache wipe complete"
-7. then chose the "Wipe data/factory reset" - wait till "Data wipe complete"
-8. after these chose the "Reboot system now"
-9. if your phone doesn't want to start just get the battery out for 30sec and take back.
note: you will lose everything of your personal details, installed apps...
note2: it's my FROYO's (android 2.2.2) menu probably yours is different
Sorry for my English, hope you understand though.
hope this helps
If your are trying to connect on windows vista or 7 I think you must be loged on as admin of the computer. I had same problem but when I used windows XP it worked fine this is for rsd lite
going to try ,i really hope it will help
thx
i have flashed cm7 and still not able to connect it to PC
i am quite sure it is not software problem, maybe it is about the USB cable?
is that possible the USB cable can charge but not able to transfer data?
hi tommy1994 ,

You need a screwdriver and a brain
Safely remove back cover battery and back case.
According to the screens, short-circuit between two points on the board with a wire.
These are TP7 & TP9 (red marked in picture)
Connect your phone to a computer without a battery.
In device manager you will see device as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
Now, you can remove the wire from Test Point.
Open QFIL click Download
After the firmware is flashed connect all body parts and enjoy the phone.

Yes, these are the test points above the memory card slot. May be your motherboard has certain variations.just click the photo of motherboard and attach here.
And also you have to connect USB while short circuited TP7 & TP9 and than you can remove wire when connected to download mode.
Seems to be having same chip

Install USB deview and check whether any devices are connected like USB input device,USB root hub, generic USB device. If yes then your device can be unbricked.
For me too it didn't shown any thing on device manager(rarely it shows as HID compliant device when i try to enter download mode)but USB deview did.
Just give a try it will work unless it is a hardware problem

good moring i tried different usb cables p made a fast boot cable no luck the button combos i tried [holding button atleast 3 sec befor pug usb to laptop]are vol+ usb , vol- usb, vol +- usb, pwr vol+, pwr vol-, pwr vol+- usb, i took apart and remove batt held pwr button to drain any left over power and tried the same combos, i hook my multimeter up and check the voltage both with usb from laptop and ac adapter and got 1.8 i usd screw to frame for ground and found 2 brass contacts on the board that gave me the readings i been trying to find info on unlocking through test points but no luck on this phone so its just my luck lol i know its got to be some program out there or some process to unlock bootloader or something i have posting on few other fourms but its alot of same basic steps and most unbricking threads i found are really not brick at all because if a pc can reconize it then not a brick phone lol i truely have a brick phone and and need that next level trouble shooting lol i guess i need those secret technique the repair shops use but im thinking its just going to be cheaper to replace the pcb if i can find one i did a quick search but did not find my phone but i know its out there just getting through all the bull crap post threads and other none modle related crap but hey info is info and knowledge is power for those to crasp but i will try anything you suggest.

(ok here a update im making progress so i started from the jump went through a box of old micro usb cables found 2 cables that seem to work better than others 1 seems to trigger more often than other but its not a everytime i plug with button combo it pops unrec usb but when it dose sometimes it continues to do it then stops i also found a 3in1 OTG moblie phone connection and when i us it (first just plugging in the OTG to pc it pop unrec device and shows up in
usb controllers) (second when i connect the phone with different button combos the pc detects as unrec usb device but non of the mtk or lenovo nor qualcomm drivers rec the phone i tried to assign the drivers lenovo for it but its there not the rite drivers and the proper ones are installed for the device? "now it did let me assigned and give me the options for some qualcomm usb drivers but the only i rec was a 9006 {it didnt offer the 9008} but after installing it showed with error but still did not rec the phone. so now im not as bad off as i was per say. im going to look into this OTG thing as it really helps pc see the phone as a unrec usb device but no matter which one i use rite now i need to get it to or for the drivers to see the phone.
i still having trouble getting my laptop to asign a driver im getting unrec usb but unable to asign lenovo usb drivers or qaulcomm dirver it tells me there no drivers for it and check to see if the 64bit so my win10 dose not rec those drivers for 64 bit so now im in driver issue now
