PossibleCanBus issue with PX6 Steering Controls with Clio 4 - Android Head-Units

Hi There,
I've just grabbed a PX6 Android head unit for my Renault Clio 4 2017 from AliExpress and all seems well with exception to the steering controls.
I've tried all the WheelKey/JoyKey/SteeringKey apps and settings on the tablet with no progress, doest even register the keys. My guess is there is a Canbus issue as I can't seem to get any car info on the tablet (car info show no info on engine/battery/doors etc) and the tablet seems to work exactly the same with or without the canbus fitted. The factory settings appear to be all fine but im not sure if there's a good resource out there for correct settings.
Canbus is RN-SS-06 20191206 SW: v1.020004BYPS
Any help would be super appreciated.
Sam

I bought Klyde unit for my 2015 Clio RS about two years ago. Couldn't get steering wheel buttons work. I bought new canbox. No joy. I know other guys that have the same unit and they have it all working.
I hope that someone can find ways to get it done.
Please share if you find resolution.

I already managed to enter the 8888 from the factory, but I can't add the canbus in my Renault Clio 4 2017, I've already made several settings and nothing and I've also done a reset several times and nothing...can someone help me? thanks

Xtrons TD618AS canbus

Hi I purchased a Xtrons TD618AS 5.1 head unit and installed into my ford galaxy no problem, worked fine.
However I now want to swap this into a VW T32 Transporter. This is a full canbus vehicle so I will probably need a canbus adapter which I'm looking for as xtrons can't supply what I need.
What I really need to know is what do the canbus settings in the password protected factory menu do? What do they enable? Will they only work with a dedicated canbus adapter.
Would be most grateful for any help.
Thanks.

Android PX3 head unit changed speedo to KM from MPH

Hi ive recently bought a android PX3 head unit, installed it ok but it has changed my milage into KM as im in the UK i need the speedo in MPH, there is a app installed called control settings, in this there is a milage setting set to < KM > but it wont change, most of the settings in the control settings app like temp set to C wont change to F either, indicators set to one flash etc the only setting that i can change is CD indicator.
would anyone know if this could be a software bug with the MCU or the android version?
where would i look for a update? i dont even know who the manifacturer is.
The head unit has no physical buttons only a reset hole so can anyone please tell me how i would get to the recovery screen?
ive never had a android head unit before so dont know much about these units.
Can anyone please help me change/fix this setting or another app or update i can install that can change the milage back from KM to miles,

would this work with the HU, just connect upthe 3 wires? and not connect the HU plug connector that goes to my info screen?

I have the same problem, in the US with a BMW 90 android head unit. I think there is a bug in the MCU firmware that reverts back to Metric units on boot. Lucky for me, I am able to change things from Control Settings app but I do have to do it every time the unit boots. I have reported this to the seller of my head unit but they don't have any solutions. I am hoping they will fix it in the near future.
did you ever get your problem sorted as I now have the same problem
Hi no the seller didnt want to know and just fobbed me off for months before blanking me on whatsapp, no firmware updat as promised, nothing, so what i did was got a set of these:T - 3 Car Intelligent Steering Wheel GPS, hang up/answer, volume setting, music Controller with Noctilucent Function buttons https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Zee...191.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.68734c4dUQL81J whicc work quite well, ive also recently ordered a button stalk like how the older radion buttons were: Car steering wheel button remote control lights car navigation DVD / 2 din android Bluetooth wireless Universal remote control,
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Car...596.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.68734c4dUQL81J but im still awaiting delivery of it.
ill be very happy with the stalk as well as the buttons ive stuck to the centre consol, no where near as cool as the steering wheel controls but i really needed my speedo in MPH
anyways hope this helps somewhat not perfect but better than the speedo flashing between KM/MPH
regards

I know this is old but I have the same issue with my Joying head unit and my BMW e90. On start up, I have to go into my settings and set everything to American/Imperial units. Did you ever find a fix to this? It's driving me nuts.

PX6 STM 32 Issue with Raise Canbus

Hello Gents,
So I received my new PX6 STM32 couple days ago and I managed to install it on my KIA. I have used the old Canbus (Raise HYK-RZ-01) which was working perfectly with my old unit (K2001). After I completed the installation, I selected the Canbus under the settings and I can see it in INFO. But unfortunately, there is no communication with the car and the steering wheel buttons are not working.
Please advise if someone had a similar problem?

I need help with my Junsun Head Unit!

Hi all,
I bought my first car 2 weeks ago, a Renault Clio 2014.
The first upgrade i wanted to do was a android head unit that supports android auto and apple car play. after some research i ended up with this one:
https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005003495893052.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.291279d2UtKJ3v&gatewayAdapt=glo2nld
Model: PX9s 64GB 4G
€268,92
I got the radio in and it worked perfect, however i couldn't get the steering wheel volume controls to work.
After connecting the simplesoft box and pressing update on the head unit, the unit turned off and it remained this way... rip.
I think the unit is bricked. Im looking for somone who has the flash files or someone that has made a backup so i can try to restore the head unit
Keep in mind, im new to all of this.
I have found Junsun tech support to be very helpful.
Sorry I can't help any more than that.

I just got a t&t for a new unit, however as far as i know i can keep this one, is it possible to backup the new one and flash the old one with it?
Hi,
I'm new here too. I installed a Junsun V1pro HU on a Mégane 3. The canbus decoder is also a simple soft. Steering wheel control didn't work at first. Actually something was wrong in the harness and I had to swap the position of the 2 white wire of the smallest connector linking the canbus decoder to the unit.
I hope this can help.

I actually am getting my new unit in today, Is there someone who can explain how to make a dump so I can try the backup on my other unit?

Sinosmart android head unit steering wheel buttons not working

Hi all just fitted a Sinosmart head unit for a Nissan quashqui j10 but the steering wheel buttons will not program any ideas how to fix this ? Purchased from Ali Express. Info supplied not great.
What does seller suggest
what has been tried
what is head unit - post android system head unit including MCU version
Said they are sending ma a new cable but not sure that’s going to work as canbus not recognising
Have you connected to power to the canbus unit. Mine hasa separate power connector. Took me weeks to realise I had not connected it.

Hii, first check canbus if connected right, then when in Androisd go to car settings / infotainment - info of device and enter factory settings with pin 123456 or 8888, find canbus menu for updating (not system !) and update online (choose your model of your car and year, canbus name must be exact as says at the background of the canbus box - raise, general, hiworld etc.) or offline (via USB DRIVE if seller sent you to import correct files into unit).
When downloaded correct settings for canbus , updated and restarted with correct settings car functions will work.
