I need help with the PIT image of a SM-J510FN. I accidentally wiped Stock, and can't flash Stock firmware cause of hidden.img. (It's carrier is form Vodafone, CSC is CNX). I tried to many things to do it (extracting, editing firmware CSC's etc) but i can't.

I am extremely new at this but if I want to update my firmware to, let's say, Germany firmware (PD1), will i need to keep CSC or PDA in mind? Or can I just flash the Germany firmware without those?
What are CSC, PDA, and baseband?

you have to take care of different partition layout sizes, with the new odin packages this should be no problem, if you only flash the pda (or AP) part.
otherwise you will fail at the flash procedure mainly with hidden.img and/or cache.img!
in any case: flashing your "stock" rom for your region or carrier will fix things if anything gets messed up!
another thing to consider: try flashfire from chainfire, its a new an advanced tool for flashing firmware files!
Ok so here's my issue
For a very long time since the G930U firmware was available to install, I've been using that. Well I decided to want to get my phone unlocked for GSM using those services but it needs Stock Firmware.
So I tried to restore to the latest G930P firmware and ODIN is giving a Volume size error for the system.img.ex4. I've tried now a couple different firmwares and no luck. Any idea?
The latest Firmware is PH7 I don't recommend it. PG1 on down are good to go. Extract zip stock firmware to a folder and add it in to Odin all the slots accordingly. BL AP CP CSC the last slot CSC is HOME_CSC not CSC_SPT and start flashing. It always works for me.
I ended up figuring it out. I had to find the stock G930P .PIT mapping's and re-partition because G930U ended up changing the sizes.
Oh good to know. Thank for sharing
Why do you not recommend PH7 update? I've heard it helps with battery life.
Could you share the pit file you used. I tried the same thing with a pit file i found online how ever since the pit i am able to flash bootloader but unable to flash system.ext4. Odin gives me a "failed (auth)" and neyjer the 930u version or the f2 or any of the other stock roms wont flash.... Help please
Don't you just love it when people "figure it out" and then don't share how? lol
Here... Since nobody gave you this. This may not be your problem.

I was trying to change my csc on the canadian s7 edge to INS.
Odin gave me errors while installing and my phone shows Secure Download Failed : PIT .
So i want to ask if i can do it woth adding the pit file? And what pit file do i need to download. Is it XAC or INS? From where to download the required pit?
Or workaround would work that can i install only csc file from INS firmware and the rest of the files from XAC firmware?
Please guide me with that.
Hi Guys,
I've got a Galaxy A5 2016 (SM-A510F DBT) from a friend. The device seems stuck at the last system update and does not start anymore. Since he did not backup his data, I try to flash the latest firmware via Odin. I read that there is now a 4-part firmware version for Galaxy devices and two CSC files. The Home CSC file supposedly does not reset the data when they flash, but I can only find the regular CSC files. The firmware was loaded with SamFirm.
Someone an idea?
Thanks!
I have a Samsung S7edge G935 that had boot problems and I have been trying to flash with the standard firmware from Sammobile and also Frija. I could not get either firmware’s to flash with Odin in windows as I kept getting Pit loading errors etc etc. As many know Odin for windows takes forever to report an error so in frustration I wiped the nand thinking that I could reinstall a nandroid backup off an identical phone I have. Clearly I was wrong. I have found on this forum the FWUL application which I have working and although I have not yet succeeded in flashing the firmware it does at least give the error messages in an instant. The firmware’s from Sammobile and Frija are correct for the phone UK BTU and I have unzipped the CSC files to obtain the PIT file which I must assume is the correct one for the rest of the firmware. I still get the same error in jodin ‘ pit file corrupted would you like us to get the correct file for you’ but there is no obvious way to accept the ‘offer’.
