Bonjours,
I bought an android car radio on Amazon for a Citroën C4 : ZWNAV Android 9.0 Lecteur GPS de Navigation stéréo Voiture GPS ou Citroen C4 C-Quatre C-Triumph 2004-2012 avec Europe 49 Pays Carte SD Carte
All the advertised functionality works perfectly except that I have a big problem.
I can not add a google account, each time I put my username then the password, its remains blocked on "Verification of information".
I disabled the two-step verification, it doesn’t change anything and changed password, created another account.. etc like whatever I do it doesn’t work. I even did a google update, google services, cleared the cache, data, reset the auto-radio several times and nothing changed.
When I install apps via APK, it makes me spit, bug the screen and so force either to restart the car or worse to unplug and reconnect the car battery, I also feel that it does not bug when the radio did not connect to the internet.
I would like to know if anyone would have a solution to offer me to connect my google account or change rom t 'en que ça fonctionne très bien.
Thank you in advance the community
I'm having the same issue on a 10.1 inch 2GB/32GB android head unit branded Hikity from Amazon. Everything works great on the head unit but none of the google apps can connect to the internet. Maps, youtube, google play all say can't connect even though wifi is connected and I can come inside and see it on my router. All I've been able to find is that it may have something to do with the apps trying to communicate through SSL. I can see my ip address in the wifi page but the apps can't access the internet.
I've sideloaded the 4 apps needed for the play store onto the unit and done multiple factory resets but nothing has allowed the google apps to access the internet. I went to 3 friends and families homes to try their wifi but the same issue. I also went to McDonalds and Starbucks and connected to their wifi but the problem is in the software on the head unit. The apps just can't see the internet, they just keep telling me I need to connect to the internet. I've built over 100 pcs and I'm tech support for friends and families pc's and phones/tablets but I can't find a solution and I've been searching for 3 days and have spent about 10 hours in my vehicle trying different fixes.
If you find a solution please let us know, but if I was a conspiracy theorist I would say the cheap chinese head units simply don't like SSL connections because they can't collect data on them very easily. Let's face it they aren't making a lot of money selling that thing for $80 to $150 depending on what store you look at. I believe a custom rom that just gets rid of the chinese android install would likely fix the problem. My issue is that I have no idea if those are available and haven't seen anything that looks like it would work easily from a USB stick since my unit doesn't have an SD card slot but can read from the USB slot.
I hope someone sees this that has an answer for both of us it seems like we have a very similar issue with google apps connecting to the internet.
I I would like to change the rom because I have the impression that it is the Chinese rom that poses a problem on the car radio. For my part Youtube, Google maps and others works but I still can’t connect my Google account and this is a problem for me.
hi! I found a solution in this topic, and for me it worked perfectly: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcd-software-development/rom-hal9k-mod-v4-mtcd-e-head-units-t4046361

Hey there, hoping someone can help, I bought this item from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GNTSLLW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
However what I received in the mail wasn't actually the device pictured in the listing with the red sliding wifi antenna, I received the one in the picture attached.
I have had a few problems with the device, namely that it doesn't seem to want to play nicely with wifi of any description, doesn't seem to matter if it's my home broadband connection or my mobile's hotspot, main reason I bring up the hotspot is because I intend to use it in the car through the stereo for sat nav on a bigger screen than my phone, multimedia like netflix etc.
Even when I can get apps to download via the included aptoide app the connection constantly drops out and it straight out refuses to work with Google Play Store
Does anyone know where I could find a stock Android Marshmallow ROM for this device and instructions on how to install it? I've googled the problem for a while but the little results I can find seem to refer to the red slider version of the MK809IV and I don't want to risk messing anything up by doing something incorrectly, any help would be much appreciated.

Hi all,
Happy New year
I see this has been asked lots before, but I haven't as yet found a simple easy solution. Has anyone ?
I want to access my sms / email from head unit over bluetooth ideally. Headers/ notifications would be nice too.
I thought about using a bigger device such as a tablet, but would have much the same issues Plus charging, storage etc.
Wont be used when driving but when I pull up and go through them and can respond. So not really interested in apps that read them as they come in.
Head unit is a new px5 erising, mtce running android 8 untouched. Works great as is.
Phone is stock S6, android 7. un-rooted. NO usb port. (can only charge wireless)
Happy to install any apps as needed.
I have tried several apps, such as botifier, btnotifier, carmode, easyconnection, hotspot control, several smart 'device' syncs and havent got any to work. Sounds easy but have a couple issues. I dont always have data on as on payg, as most apps seem to want.
Plus not keen on google apps reporting my every whereabouts so dont have Android Auto, telling google execs what colour pants i'm wearing to sell data to advertisers to hound me..
2nd I dont fancy turning on hotspot and messing around to pair up wifi. with every journey (although I have considered getting a small AP, router for the car for both devices to connect to and thus be on the same local wifi network if that helps.)
I'm aware there are about 15 different protocols for it to work on BT which is a p.i.t.a that I dont know which I have on either device. I dont (need to) play music or do anything else from phone.
So is there an android app yet that installs whats needed and just does the simple job of remotely without fuss or needing several trips round the moon to display / reply to my sms texts on my head unit while phone is in my pocket?
Thank you.
I recently bought Android HU for my mercedes E 2005 form Isudar China.
Android 8.0 Octa core 4gb Ram and 32GB rom with DSP.
After finishing installing it. I tried to turn on the WiFi but there was no way to turn it at all (it stay in off side). I also notice that the MAC address for the WiFi is 02:00:00:00:00:00 , which I think it is wrong. In the other hand the Bluetooth is working but i couldn’t use it for Internet (it work only for calling and music play) and I can’t send or receive any file using Bluetooth. I bought TB-link WiFi dongle but didn’t work I also tried to use 3G dongle, it also didn’t work. When I connected other device to USB (DAB) it works. I asked the seller what to do?! He didn’t give me answer. I need professional help. I don’t know if the problem is hardware or software. Because the device is totally new, and from beginning doesn’t work.. Every help is appreciated.
No one has or had the same problem?
Hi there, I'm not sure if my issue can be resolved but I thought I would check. I have a Android 4.1.1 headunit which I used a lot when I first got 4-6 years. I stopped driving that car but have decided to take it out again and I notice that a lot of the apps don't seem to connect to the internet including Play Store, they all seem to say no internet connection. The only app that seems to work is Spotify. The once that don't work which I would like to use are: Google Play, Waze, & Firefox.
Is it possible to upgrade the OS if this could be what's causing the issues as apps get updated ? Or is there a way I can get working apps for this device if upgrading is not an option?
I cant find much info on this device so I figured I would ask here. I picked up one of those Carplay AI Box dongles for the car and am having an issue keeping a bluetooth connection. Im trying to connect to and ODB MX+ which is attached to my car, via bluetooth and an app like DashCommand. Only issue is everytime I restart the car I have to go into the pairing menu of DashCommand for it to reactiveate bluetooth on the Ai Box. For whatever reason it seems bluetooth just isnt staying on. Even when the app is running and its connected the bluetooth indicator on the MI Box is off.

What device. You haven't listed what the device is details, what you've done to resolve it or what the reseller suggests.
You brought a cheap Chinese origin device and then expect support - do you realise xda isn't the seller or the support forum. What I mean by that is you have to put the effort in to get help
Wake up on the wrong side of bed today or whats your deal?
I came here asking for help which I've done multiple times over the years, never once getting such a crap response. Yes, I bought a cheap Chinese android device, have you never purchased anything from China? I bought it because from the limited info on the internet it seemed to be the fastest one out there with the Snapdragon 665 cpu. If there was a better one made my Samsung or whoever I would have bought that but they dont exist so excuse me for buying somethign from China.
Any why on earth would I assume XDA is the reseller? There are literally hundreds of thousands of threads on this site of people asking for help with something they didnt buy from XDA so no idea why the hostility.
Thanks for your worthless reply, why did you even bother?
You could try one of the 'Bluetooth auto connect' apps on the Play Store.
But what I would do is use Tasker. Setup a profile with tasks that: turns on Bluetooth, then connects to your ODB device. And set the profile to activate when the display is 'on'.
You lucked out with yours as my CarPlay AI box doesn't even allow more than one device to be paired...so I've been unable to even pair my ODB reader.
