Broken screen, can i backup? - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hi!
My phone lcd and is touch screen broken. Can't see, can't use. I would love to transfer some files somewhere.
The phone has no password and definitely is working behind the scenes. I have theone5os ROM (which is almost identical to oxygenos and rooted).
Is there a way to do so with a pc in recovery mode? Any way?
Thanks

broken screen and trying to recover data

got a phone from a friend to see if i can recover her data, problem is, the screen is destroyed. she dropped a 3lb defib battery on it and it shattered the screen. the screen does not even light up. i have no idea on what the settings are on the phone(IE debug/mass storage) so is there any way to recover her data for her?
I have run into the same problem with a captivate. The bottom screen doesnt respond so i can unlock it. Is there a way to run the phones with a computer? I just want to recover my pictures.
she could just buy a new screen if the rest of the phone is still intact. http://www.repairsuniverse.com/samsung-fascinate-i500-lcd-touch-screen-replacement.html
What data are you trying to recover? Since some things should be in predictable system directories, you should be able to just pull them with ADB, as long as the phone is powering up. I'd expect you could save contacts and such this way.
Actually, here's a thought. Someone would have to confirm that this would work, but I can't see why it wouldn't. I'm assuming the phone is stock now. Use Odin to flash CWM recovery to it. As long as you know the layout, you should be able to navigate without actually seeing the screen. Maybe using a second phone as a guide. Then you could make a Nandroid backup that would be saved to the SD. It'd be simple to just restore that to another phone.

Recovering photos from device with burned screen

A few days ago my girlfriend who has a J5 (J500M) accidentally let her phone fall into the washing machine and she turned on and put it on charge after little time and her screen burned. The cellphone works but I can't see anything in the screen (I know he works because the phone vibrates when receiving calls/messages), so the thing is: she have a lot of important pictures she took with the smartphone and she didn't wanna lose it all, but I tried a lot of things and none of them really worked:
Tried to put the phone in Download Mode and pull the images with ADB but the USB Debugging is not enabled, so it wont recognize the device.
Tried to put her password in the screen but I'm pretty sure the touch isn't working too.
Tried some programs that promises to recover my files but they didn't work.
I was thinking about flashing CWM and try to mount the storage partition but I couldn't find, I only found TWRP which is touchscreen only (I guess).
So anyone have any ideas to try?
PS:The screen is off so I can't see anything and USB Debugging is off.
Thanks guys,

The only way is to find some with j500m LCD and pay a little amount to just put the LCD and copy all your files and remove the LCD done. Someone like phone repair

Screen won't register any touch at all

Hi everyone. I have an essential PH-1, dropped it and cracked the screen in a couple of places. It still worked normally, but I ordered a screen replacement from amazon. I was able to remove the screen easily enough because I wasn't trying to save it. I connected the new screen before permanently afixing it just to make sure it worked. So, the screen looks perfect and everything looks like new, but the screen doesn't register any touch response at all.
I am able to use the phone with a USB C keyboard and mouse, I'm writing this post on my phone with the keyboard and mouse. Its got the latest software and updates, and aside from the touch screen not feeling any touches, everything is normal. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I've unlocked the bootloader in preperation for installing TWRP, but the process didn't work for some reason. I'm still reading up on that. Could this be a software issue? I hope it's not a problem with the new screen. Ideas and thoughts are much appreciated.
I've tried everything I think, though very cumbersome I was able to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and root, and installed the stock image - but still no joy. I then installed Lineage OS but there was still no touch response. I did a wipe first through ADB, before 8 installed the stock image, didn't make a difference. At this point I think it must be a defective screen unless anyone has any ideas I may not thought of? All of this done with a USB keyboard and mouse - switching back and forth disconnecting and reconnecting the phone to the PC to use ADB.

How to access to a OP5 with broken screen (or hard wipe it)?

A few days ago I destroyed the screen of my trusty OP5, I took the opportunity to replace it with an 8T (which I'm happy with, albeit with some minor reservations): how can I delete data from my old phone with a completely black screen, though? Beyond the screen, the device seems to work. I was wondering if there was any possibility of mirroring via usb, or any method of doing a hard wipe.

Backup SM-J530F/DS with broken (black screen)?

Hello all together,
I have here the Samsung SM-J530F/DS of my father.
After the smartphone was dropped, the display no longer shows anything.
Is there any way to backup the data?
There is no screen lock set up, it would just ask for a pin when restarting (I have the pin).
There are no cloud backups and there is no SD card inserted.
If you can get it to connect to the PC.
If it boots and the touch screen still works, it's in the right usb mode and you can hit the connect popup. That's a lot of if's... if the mobo is undamaged you can try replacing the display.
Had he used a SD card as a data drive for critical data and a good case things be a lot easier.
Yeah, a non-dev user probably didn't have ADB enabled. That makes life more difficult.
If you do get ADB working you can use a screen grabber/poker desktop application.
My AdbGrab.exe (in the sig) will let you grab the screen and mouse click things.
It's slow, but the advantage is that it works on stock, unrooted devices without installing anything.
