Does the tab s6 lite have knox? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Questions & Answers

Thanks in advance.
What disadvantages might there be to buying one of these.
Never had a exynos device before.
Southern Cal boy here.

As far as I'm aware, every Samsung device has Knox - Atleast every S series I've bought has.

Yes it has Knox, says it on boot screen.

[Q] Snapdragon or Exynos ?!!

Dears ,
After using the S5 Dual SIM for a month now , i am not satisfied as battery isn't that good and i don't feel that the device is good enough , after using the G2 for a while it's very hard to move to another phone
so i am thinking in selling the S5 and get a Note 4 as i was alwyas a fan of Note family and owned Note 2 & Note 3 and they was one of the best i ever used .
But confused , Which one shall i get the Snapdragon or Exynos ?! the Exynos supposed to be 64-bit but it was disabled in Kitkat and can't find info if it was enabled with the Lollipop update or not
we always choose the Snapdragon because it's supported more than the Exynos , but it's not the issue for me all i care about the performance in general which is better ?!
So please advise which one shall i go for ?!
Thanks

They did not add 64-bit support in Lollipop on the Exynos note 4 and probably will never do since the S6 will be their first flagship that will support it...
get the one you want it doesn't really matter much...
exynos may offer better benchmark performance(+1-2k in antutu, that's what some exynos owners are claiming anyway) but they don't have Cyanogenmod/AOSP nor they will have it any time soon. which means you'll basically be stuck with touchwiz based roms forever. if you don't care about it then go for the exynos but as an android lover myself I love the fact that I can just flash whatever I want when I want.
Take a look at reviews and make your choice: http://anandtech.com/show/8718/the-samsung-galaxy-note-4-exynos-review
Basically if you dont give a s**t about custom ROMs (like me) and would rather choose better performance (and similar architecture to the future S6) pick the Exynos.
If you care about performance you must go for the Exynos.
Get which ever is in your country and carrier, unless you plan on running benchmarks all day, it really doesn't matter which you get.
Allow me to steal your thread for a second. I'm also interested, and I found a pretty good deal for a refurbished AT&T N4.
I do care about performance, but I care more about rooting and being able to install custom roms.
What's the best model for that?
Thanks!

Both have root and custom roms, unless you want CM12 now I would go for the Exynos.

ATT Note 4 does not have custom ROMS or even root for that matter.

Thank you guys. Other than the AT&T model, what is the best model to use on AT&T with LTE? Of course, with root and custom roms.
Thanks!

I wish I knew. I wanted to order one real fast today with overnight shipping from Amazon to use while my Nexus 6 is being replaced but there are so many models its confusing. I literally want the exact same thing you are asking for, ATT LTE with an unlocked bootloader and custom ROMs. :crying:
SnapDragon FTW !
Still confused throw Note 4 models !! i don't know why Samsung do that !!! S H F !! What the hell is that
What's the difference between Snapdragon versions to to have 2 models !! F and S
What's the difference between Exynos versions to to have 2 models !! C and H
!!!
Exynos 910C LTE, 910H UMTS model, Snapdragon 910F international model, the S i don't now. Bye the way i would buy the Exynos again. It simply has the newer, better soc. It keeps cooler and runs stays longer fast. Snapdragon is throttling more often.
What is the best one to get in the UK? I'm on EE network if that matters and I need 4g/LTE
Thanks
Edit-also worth noting that I will want to be able to root and uproot if I need to use Samsung warranty down the road.
any one here with 910C version can give me his feedback about the device ?!
Had both the F and C models. Exynos is faster and cooler, Snapdragon is a little bit better on battery. As I charge my phone every night, I choose speediness over 30-45mins of extra SOT time.

S7 Edge CM13 Rom / Stock Android Rom

Hi guys!
I'm going to buy the S7 Edge (Snapdragon) in the next days, but I'm a big fan of CM/Stock Android Roms.
All of my previous devices had a CM Rom and the last 2 devices was Nexus.
As i can see, there are is no variety (or existence) of such kind of roms.
There will be more in the future? Is there any rom that i can trust for now?

Def buy the international variant if you want any kind of root ROM etc. Snapdragon as far as I know isn't rootable/bootloader unlockable. No aosp is avaliable yet but better chance on the exynos

The Chinese/HK SM-G9350 is a rootable/bootloader unlockable phone. It's just that nobody knows that, right now only chinese people are making roms (Aurora ROM). I think that should be put in consideration since it's literally a bootloader unlocked Snapdragon variant. I think it's possible to just then install stock USA rom and then root it. (I haven't tried it, but I've heard you're only supposed to flash AP file in Odin)
IMHO, If custom roms is a concern , you should go with nexus line. Even if we had a port of cm, it would need at least 1 year to become ready as a daily driver and even then the camera and bluetooth wouldnt work %100 !

A OnePlus 3 is a great choice if you want to root/ use a custom rom. It has a unlocked bootlader and also doesn't void warranty if you root it. I actually think I should've gotten the oneplus 3, because it has all the features I need, compromises on features I don't need, and having a near stock experience. It's absolutely worth it over the S7 edge for its price.

Now that the Note 7 is dead, will Samsung accelerate the S7/Edge Android 7 updates ?

Just wondering what everyone thinks...I surely hope so
I suspect they'll be concentrating on the next S8 and note 8 even more than before. They might even be looking at a rebranding. ( Samsung Extinguisher 8? )
I think/hope they'll focus on making next generation as good as possible and direct their Note 7 update team (if there is one) to the S7's for the time being, hence giving the S7 (edge) faster updates!
One more reason to push the Grace UX to s7 more quickly.
No point in not using it on any device.
This thought crossed my mind. I hope so. Although I feel like 15 Billion dollar debt has them preoccupied with a ****load of other things. The thought to even sell my device in case the S7 Edge is totally forgotten about also crossed my mind. I think both are equally possible with how Samsung runs their ship.
Was hoping for a flurry of updates including the UX and always on display

I think that while they should, Samsung is probably either concentrating on the current fiascos currently happening after Note 7 issues or making models of new phones [emoji14]

Still hoping for a new Note.... If they fix it wallet is waiting.
they will. S7/edge is now first in line for software development. The king (note 7) is dead - long live the king (S7/edge)! at least until S8 come out next year
Hi everyone. I've crawled over here from the Note7 XDA sub-forum. This is my new home. I hope they do, and bring the new UI/UX to the Edge too.
Yes, until S8 comes

The Galaxy S8/Edge! We use nuclear reactor technology so you never have to charge your phone! Forget about the battery issues last year of the Note 7, that's long gone! I think you guys will love this.
Edit: NEVERMIND EVERYONE RECALL THESE PHONES NOW! PHONES BLOWING UP HALF THE COUNTRY!
Edit2: CNN: "North Korea buys all Galaxy S8's. Samsung no longer going bankrupt" Nvm, they only gave 1$
it should be interesting, but in a bussines view, is even worst look back on an older model instead of focus in the new one, so I don't think that would happen, also, samsung is focused in "cover" all the note 7 things, not because they want make it like never happened (despite they want xD), but cause they want costumers's trust again, so all the note team is sure focused on the note 7 things yet

Advice please- Is the Note 4 still worth buying now at end of 2016?

Hi there
I am currently on a Galaxy S4 running a stable version of Nougat - CM14, however I am looking to upgrade to a phone that has much custom ROM support- especially CyanogenMod.
Because I will only get a phone that has CyanogenMod support, I assume the Exynos variant will not be viable. Will the Note 4 have official CM14 support? When did the Note 4 receive CM13?
I am looking to buy a phone around £300 and the screen has to be at least 5.7inches. Would the Note 4 still be a good option now?
Or should I go with another phone?
All advice is welcomed... Thanks

Hi again
The Nexus 6p is a great phone however I don't think I am able to get it in the UK for under £300.
I am also a little reluctant to get a phone without Wireless Charging...
Anyway thanks for the suggestion, do you have other suggestions as well?
Thanks

Buy one plus 3 its an amazing device with 6gb ram and latest snapdragon 820 octa core processor and wide range of custom roms and yes one+3 users allready enjoying cm14 nougat roms with everything working. And of course its under 300$ off contract.

Has anyone been able to confirm if the N910C (Exynos) is affected by the emmc failure? From what I have read it always seems to be Snapdragon versions that are hit by it.

I have N910C (Exynos) since 2014 and flash custom roms frequently and have no issue with it
I have had a Snapdragon N910F from Launch Week, haven't had a single problem.
The eMMC failure seems to affect mostly Note4s bought in 2015, from what I have seen.

Very likely. As much as I thoroughly enjoy mine, you may be better off with something newer.
Maybe look at a used Nexus 6? Otherwise LG G4 and LG V10 may be your best bet.

It seems it is really difficult to find a well rounded phone of this price-£300.
Not many phones have Amoled Screens at 5.7inch+....
Some won't have software updates but that's fine as long as there is strong developer support..

On Amazon the cheapest I've seen is about £418 and eBay the cheapest seen was about the same.
Maybe I will wait until Black Friday for some deals on some phones such as the OnePlus 3.
I will comment back when I get a new phone, if I do.
Thinking about it I might get the XA Ultra: 6inch edge to edge screen. No custom ROM support though...

Here's another vote for the Note 4. As far as features go, it's pretty loaded. AFAIK it's the only phone with QHD, IR blaster, expandable storage, 5.5+ inches. Granted its finger print sensor is pretty useless.
Also, I haven't had the problems mentioned above in this thread.
No no, simply NO. Unless you are getting it for like half price of a new OnePlus 3, absolutely not.

Cons of flashing a custom rom?

Currently planning to switch from iPhone 6s to Galaxy S8 or Note 8. But the factor that keeps me from switching is updates. Apple releases updates to even 4 year old phones. While Samsung mostly releases two major Android updates to each flagship. So, the main question is; what are cons of flashing a custom rom, just to catch up with latest Android version when Samsung no longer support my phone? Will Samsung pay work when custom rom is installed? Will I lose any major functions? Thank you kindly and please accept my apologizes for this noobish question. My last Android device was a LG G2 running Cyanogenmod and it's been almost 2 or 3 years since I used it.

Luckily the fd(dual) models come with an unlockable bootloader, so you can take advantage of root/roms/custom kernels. Rooting will permanently trip Knox, which depending where you live may break warranty but seeing as your in Europe this shouldn't be too much of an issue. But please bare in mind Samsung pay will never work again once you trip knox
