Samsung Galaxy A20 Root and Data Recovery - Samsung Galaxy A20 Questions & Answers

I have a Samsung Galaxy A20. I had some pictures and videos deleted from the phone and from the trash. I do not have Samsung Cloud enabled on my device. I have tried to use some data recovery software like Dr.Fone and FoneLab. I am able to recover a few photos but when i try to recover videos, I see an alert that I need to root the phone. I have tried multiple one click root solutions. Other solutions i have found involving an APK file require me to wipe the phone. I would like to know if anyone has a method to successfully root this phone model without wiping the internal Memory so i can retrieve the videos.

Possible to recover deleted photos?

Hi all. I am wondering if it is possible to recover deleted photos from a non rooted S5? My co worker just came back from the Philipines and accidently deleted her photos before they had a chance to upload to Drop box over wifi. I have done a search on Google and most apps want you to pay to recover data. I know you can recover deleted data from a rooted phone. If I were to root her phone, would I lose all of her pictures that are already on there? Thanks to anyone who can give me any help or direction.
You need to root the phone, and just like any other activity that requires writes to the disk, it will utilize and write over empty space, which is where your deleted photos are part of now. But it shouldn't be too bad.
After trying many apps I really found Diskdigger undelete to be the most accurate and reliable app to recover deleted photos. It is free for .jpg but you will need to pay for other file types. Hope it helps

Wiping all data from my S5 before I give it to someone

Hi, I want to give my S5 to someone but want to ensure all data is deleted on it.
Obviously I've done the factory reset but apparently the files are still salvageable. I know it's difficult to 100% erase data but I'd like to at least be sure it's harder than just running a program to retrieve the files.
I'm running this erase app on it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aiuspaktyn.secureeraser&hl=en
but some of the comments say it doesn't work because the files can be retrieved with disk digger.
Cheers.
I've logged into playstore on the phone so as to be able to access the apps.
I've run the erase app 3 times on the phone's internal memory.
I've now run diskdigger on the phone. It doesn't seem to recover any personal photos (good!) but it recovers other images from what seem to be part of the samsung bloatware, which I then move to the DCIM folder so as to be able to view them. This is how I figured out they were bloatware.
I then run diskdigger again and it seems to find more images from the bloatware (though they could be duplicates of the already recovered photos). Every time I run diskdigger it seems to find more photos. I'm wondering, if I keep running it, it'll eventually find my personal ones?
Also, it only digs for photos. What about all my other data like my text messages, memos etc?
Just Flash the Stock rom via odin
download your specific device firmware via samfirm tool or from sammobile
flashing stock rom wont affect knox count so flash it
and then goto stock recovery and clear cache and data partition

Restore ALL programs and data - Galaxy S5 to Galaxy S7

My daily driver is a rooted Galaxy S5. I use Titanium Backup to backup progs and data to SDCard. Also have "moved" many programs to SDCard to run. I'm looking to purchase a new Galaxy S7 (eBay) for Verizon (locked?) and want the abililty to restore ALL progs and data. Many of my progs are NOT the current APKs from the play store, and wish to keep it that way. Want to run either Android 7 or Android 8 on the S7. I only need root at this point to restore TB backup. Other backup/restore methods are limited. Have read many of the threads and posts re: root of Galaxy S7.
Looking for the easiest method to root and restore. Would like to be able to update Android at a later time without having to perform a clean flash. Advice and recommendations are appreciated.

How do I recover lost photos in samsung galaxy a9?

Hi,
My daughter have samsung galaxy a9. She acidentally deleted all her gallery including about 6000 photos and films
How can she recover it?
I tried following the thread:
"Recover Accidentally Deleted Files, Photos, Music after Rom Install by bullriders" with some help, however, the program does not recognize any files which are not included in a driver. (ie, "phone" is not "driver C, D... " etc)
What can I do?
Thanks,
Stamstam

Is it dangerous to root the device? How do I do it.....
Is it dangerous to root the device? How do I do it? Can I unroot it later? If I installed diskdigger on the phone itself, does it mean that I lost some photos due to taking up disk space? Did I lose all of them?

Method to recover media on sm-J337P?

I have a J3 that I would like to recover media from. I have tried all root methods I can think of and I am also unable to install TWRP. I'm not looking to use the phone after recovery; just want my media. Is there some way I can scan all the memory and recover my files? Info on attachment.
Sorry for the delayed reply. Do you want to recover media files from your samsung phone? If yes, maybe you can ask for help from pro shop or data recovery software like Dr.fone, Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android, phonerescue, etc. Before that, you need to make sure the data is not overwritten by new data. Good luck to you.
