Crushed the back of my Nexus 4, looking for troubleshooting assistance

Hi,
I accidentally crushed my photo between a seat and a table on a train. (htp://imgur.com/Q1RUsEk) This is what it looks like after it was crushed.
Immediately after it was crushed, I noticed the phone network icon was empty. I turned off the phone and it has not been possible to boot back into the home screen since then.
I attached the phone to my computer and used ADB to get (htp://pastebin.com/H85Xq2U4) the last_kmsg, (htp://pastebin.com/NArZYWSZ) logcatouput, and (htp://pastebin.de/124812) bugreport output.
I'm not an expert at debugging problems with phone hardware but it looks like there is a problem with the audio subsystem in logcatoutput.
Are there any reasonable steps I can take in trying to resurrect my phone?

According to your log description it would seem that there is physical damage to the system board. The only option would be to do an inspection of the phone. This will require dis-assembly and that does need some skill, although there are several threads here on XDA that might help.
Determining the actual board damage would require some knowledge of electronics.
I would suggest that you look into replacing the unit. With the Nexus 4 you might be able to find a used unit on ebay or on the Swappa forum here on XDA.
Your sign-on doesn't indicate a location, so you may or may not be able to access/use these sites. At any rate you are looking at some pricey repairs, if such repairs are even possible.

I think I read through this entire thread a couple of days ago, but dont think I saw this little 'Gem' posted here.
I saw somewhere (maybe this thread) the multi-click enabling of some kind of Diagnostics function when
you multiple click on 'Settings/About Tablet/Kernel version', and you get the diagnostics dialog (much
like enabling Developer by clicking on Build number).
The new (at least for me) is multi-click on 'Settings/Android Version', and you get a little easter egg, first time I
did this I got some kind of game (I think, I dont play games), 2nd time, I could not remember what additional
things I did to get into it (there is something after the red screen).
OK, got back into the game screen again but still not sure how, you've gotta click about the screen at random.

Mobile Network setting missing?
My friend just received a Tegra Note P1640 Advent Vega running Android 4.4.2. It's stock, not rooted at all. She wants to hook up her Sierra 313U USB modem so she can get on the net with it, but for some reason Mobile Settings is missing from the SETTINGS app.
I know that this Tablet does not have a SIM card slot, so maybe that's why it's missing. But hopefully there is some way to activate it again without having to root it.

I found this app in the Google Play store, but that is only a shortcut. So if that Mobile Network setting is not activated, I doubt it will work, or will it?

What do you suggest? Is there any way we can access the Mobile Network settings so she can use her Sierra USB modem without having to root it?

Tegra Note 7 Hardware Teardown Tutorial
I have been looking on the internet for quite some time now but I have not found a sequence of images or video tutorial on how to disassemble a Tegra Note 7. I only found one post on the XDA forums by member "e8hfff" that said "Tegra Note Openned" but with no images visible. Could someone provide some insight on how to properly disassemble the table?
The reason I am asking is that my TN7 is past warranty and the battery has sadly seen its last days. I have enough knowledge about Lithium Ion (smart and dumb) batteries and the confidence to fix my issue, but I am uncertain how to properly take apart the tablet, not wanting to risk damaging the components. Any advice from someone who has done this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just as bschles above, I too would like to request info on Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 disassembly.
I've managed to insert my SD Card incorrectly and cannot remove it, it is stuck inside the machine with nothing protruding to get a hold of so I cannot remove it. I would like to remove the casing so as to access the card and extract it, in some other thread someone said they can open casing with just their hands, question is 'HOW' ?
I have tried pulling and pushing and squeezing and twisting, all to no avail. With my eyes, I cannot even see where the joins are and so not sure where I should concentrate the effort to separate the case parts.
I have tried searching internet/youtube for any TN7 teardown without any success (although another thread in this forum has several pics of inside of machine) and would be grateful if someone could point at a video link or explicit instructions for
dismantling the case, then I would be able to extract the stuck card and access the data on it. as it is, I can neither remove nor insert for SD card access leaving me a little lost for what else to do.
Perhaps some kind of video submission would not be out of place in a forum dedicated to such a wonderful little tablet.
I'm kinda feeling that my only recourse to access data on SD card is a two pound hammer.
Any assistance would be gratefully accepted.

Further to above:
I finally managed to get the case open.
The join lies about 1mm behind face of tablet, need to squeeze in your thumbnail and zip it around the whole of the machine
where you may hear clicks as the catches are undone.
The end furthest from ON-OFF button will be most difficult and last to release. Take care not to lose the on-off button and
audio up/down rocker as you struggle to free the case back. It took me about 25 minutes (at least) to free the case back
the first time that I finally figured out where to separate it, opened it a further few times in a lot less time.
Unfortunately, once the SD card was removed and re-inserted, it continued to fail to be detected and trying anther card
also failed, so looks like I need a new tablet although I can still continue to use this one without external card.
Anyway hope above may assist someone else if they suffer similar difficulties.

NvCPLSvc problems
I noticed that after upgrading to 5.1, the process "com.nvidia.NvCPLSvc" is constantly on top of CPU usage list, and if I turn on the "Show all ANRs" in developer settings, it shows message that this process (Nvidia Tegra Services) is not responding, killing it helps for a while, but than again, it shows up and system says it's not responding.
After killing this process system works faster, no heating (before this, my tablet reached 42 degrees even if I just listened to music in headphones with screen off...), and games doesn't lag as mush. Also no other crashes experienced by me so far.

Where to start? The post title does nothing to attract the attention of someone who might have the answer. I have answered to similar problem many times. If the sound cuts out suddenly and there was no changes in software (updates, mods...) then it's fair to assume there's a hardware problem. Here it's likely the amp chip pins that need re-soldered. Had the guy taken the time to search the forum he could have saved a lot of trouble knowing not to fiddle with the firmware. Had he searched the forum before fiddling with the firmware he would have known to export the MCU settings before flashing it. But that's besides the point since it seems the guy wasn't on XDA before he did all that.
The point is make the effort to research before going all out trying a bunch of things then bugging for someone to bail you out.
My question is why would you bring back an old post if you have no answer to provide?

Hello everyone. I received an updated Firmware directly from seicane for their head unit. This is Android 10 update for the 2/32 GB unit. Everything seems to be working great so far on unit. If you would like to try it for yourself please feel free to download and install. I'm not too tech savvy so if you have any questions I'll answer them the best I can. Interested in modifying my unit

Hi I purchased this s8 model double din from amazon a few weeks ago and ever since i have been looking for a community like this to modify it. The few issues i am having rn with it is that the softwares a little slow ,touch screen is unresponsive, and that sometimes itll over heat. Im not sure how far i am able to go with the double din since i dont know where to look for the actual model number. The product itself has a S8 marking on the front and it comes with a reverse camera. Its also one of those models that display your cars logo but i couldnt find lexus in there .

If there are problems, consider sending it back or at least contacting the reseller for support.

well im not looking for for support with the issues i just to see if anyone else here was able to modify the unit and add some programs etc.

What we can read out of your first posting is. that there are serious problems with it...
Overheating, unresponsive touch screen and little slow are serious issues which needs to be addressed to the supplier.
Apps are to be downloaded via Google Play Store... or any other source.
Before you didn´t post the exact unit including:
MCU version
Android version
built in CPU
...none can help.

Screen Flickering - Navifly 12.5inch - Android 11

Hello!
I have ordered a new Android 11 - 8Gb RAM 256Gb ROM - 12.5 inch screen for W205 Mercedes.
The OEM UI works fantastic, even the starting Android UI app selection works fine, but when I enter GooglePlay and login, the screen starts to flicker.
I download Youtube somehow, open it and watch a video - it works fine. Then I minimize the video and start scrolling the video search list, flickers again.
If I exit youtube, back to OEM screen - flickers are gone... but if I go back they appear again.
Any clues?

Unfortunately, the forum crystal ball doesnt know what you unit is and from the hundreds of made up models and brands, the seller could be selling units of different types, from different factories, despite branding with the same model name.
There are are a small number of active members in these forums, you want to be posting in a way that helps those people help you, they're likely tired of answering the same questions for new users that join, get answered (often not) and then leave.
Post screenshots from Android system information, including the MCU version when posting questions. Doing this will at least help others help you, or you might find the information has already been posted or discussed here, yourself.

Thank you and sorry for the non-detailed description. I was thinking it might just be a setting inside the android developer settings that someone might know straight from the video example. My fault...
I've also sent a message to the seller (aka "official navifly factory"), no reply yet.
As soon as I get to the car tomorrow I will post the rest of the info, also I will post the seller info if I get a reply by then.

What I've discovered is that when I turn on dark mode, it doesn't flicker as far as I've been able to test.
But when there is a google app with full white background (light mode), it tends to flicker...

Well... Even in China it is called Weekend... and they don´t work on Sunday.
On top they are something about 6 hrs a day in front (German summertime related) and if you are located in the US, you may have a time difference of 12 hrs, dependent on your location, so may be you will get an answer tomorrow.
Regarding your sent pictures: I fear there is not a single user who can help with this kind of issue. You need to wait for the seller and their statement.

I will check the temps, it really does seem as if it works good in the first 30 sec to 1 min and then the black lines take over, so it would make sense

No, as far as I've seen, any Android app that has a strong white background will start flickering. I've switched the theme today to dark mode and the glitches weren't appearing.
For example, I would have GooglePlay entry screen in dark mode that isn't flickering with a 'login' button which would take me to a light theme (white background) Google login page that again starts flickering.
Going back to a dark screen removes these distortions again, as seen in video

When eye protection mode is on it works... I suppose the ribbon cable is defected?

Did you ever fix this issue? I have the same issue with the flickering black but mine show up as scrolling horizontal lines. I just installed an android unit 2 days ago I know it's not the same unit but your post is kinda similar to my issue. Thank you.

Would you know what the factory password is for this device? I bought a similar one Navifly, Snapdragon 662, 6/128 for and while I do not have any flickering, I need to set up the screen to show the original BMW screen with the correct resolution.
