Hello ppaphyo. Am having the same issue with my car android TS8. Were you able to install the dialer and messager? How can I go about it?
Please also share the password for the developer options as none seem to work. Thanks in advance

Ok
Next question, my phone dialer is accessed through a 'bluetooth ' icon on the home page, it is ok but does not have a favourites or often dialed icon or ability.
I would like to change that to a basic phone dialer with contacts and speed dial ability, any help appreciated.
I have seen a link that stated that because the HU does not have the phone module then it cant happen, soooooo is there a good app that works with these limitations to only have a speed dial function, the rest I can live with.
I have a sort of work around. I will get you the info tomorrow but it involved head unit, true contacts and a dialer. I get an error saying no mobile network but it'll dial using T9 dialer, contacts, etc.
ok thanks
@TT_Vert have you found a solution or the dialer that works. Thanks

Dave

yes and yes. I get a mobile network not available error but it dials. You will need Headunit 3066

Maybe I am missing something very simple. And am hoping someone can help.... I have a joying 5.1.1 headunit. I have installed google now app on it. I want it so that when I use the call contact command in google now that it will eather dial it thru the build in Bluetooth phone app.. or would dial the contact on my phone.. even if I have to install another app... I have read a lot of posts but they are all about using Google Now on my phone and using the Bluetooth to activate it... I don't want this as I want google now on the headunit for other functions too... thanks in advance
From what I gather, the problem is that the bluetooth app doesn't actually work like a Dialer app.
Normally Google will use the Dialer to push through the number. Unfortunately "Bluetooth" doesn't appear to declare as a Dialer to receive the intent.
Thanks for the reply.. is there an Bluetooth app that does decade it's self as a dialer
If you configure to always use Google voice when making calls you will get an error that says call not made. If you configure Google Voice to ask you every time you make a call you will get the same error. This error also shows up in the Mate 8. Here is another thread that discusses it.

Kind of disappointing. If you want to use Google voicemail need to use Hangouts.

Had same issue on my Nexus6 P after flashing Nougut! Flashed a custom N ROM and it worked! Some have said it's a Hangouts/N issue...
Found another issue but this is with using hangouts to make call. If you have a bluetooth device that can be used for phone calls hangouts will try to first use that device to make the call before defaulting to the ear piece. Also if you go into speaker mode you can't go back to just headset as it will yet again try to connect to that Bluetooth device and fail causing it to go back to speaker mode.
I have a Asus ZenWatch 3 and hangouts keeps trying to use this device for phone calls. Also it will try to connect if I place the call in speaker mode through hangouts and keep failing and reverting back to speaker mode.
This pretty much makes the phone useless to me. So the phone will be going back to best buy. Once Huawei fixing the stock dialer to use voice then I will come back to it

i just tested bluetooth and hangouts with my Plantronic headset and i was able to (1) initiate a call via bluetooth, (2) switch to handset, then (3) switch to speakerphone and then (4) go back to bluetooth without any problem. does your Asus ZenWatch 3 allow you to initiate/answer/conduct calls via the watch, and that's where the connection issues occurred? thanks for clarifying.
new version of Google Voice @ apkmirror site; i installed it and - so far - i can make calls via the dialer using the "Ask each time you make a call" option. using the "Use your Google Voice Number" (for all calls) option is still failing. interested to know if others using the newest GV version are having a similar experiences to me. will update if i begin having issues again.
Anyone try this new Google Voice App on the mate 9? Does it change calling with the stock dialer at all? Heres the link to download.

doi! lol sorry my bad lol. Thats great news! still pretty frustrating though. For us to rely on GV and have it not work like its supposed to is kind of worrying. Makes me concerned and update might break it.
I've been using it only for the last two days. Where it is very buggy for me is with Android Auto; I have to ask it to call on average of 3 times from the car. If I tap the button on the phone it calls, but that defeats the whole purpose of Android Auto. I'm still trying to get the phone to divert ALL of my messages, etc over to Voice. The stock messaging app duplicates the text messages. People I've communicated with on Hangouts still come through on Hangouts if they have more than one account... A bunch of reduncy that I didn't have prior to using it. I may delete it and wait for the prime time app. I'm still trying to learn the phone; I don't want to add unnecessary quirks to it and blame the phone.
I have Chinese AL00 version and using "OK Google" works with default phone. e.g. "Ok Google, call Joe". It also will start from the locked screen but you have to unlock for the phone call to be placed.
I have been able to turn my LG G Pad V530 into Phone.
I put a phone sim (not a data sim) into the tablet and used the Talktone app.
The Talkatone app is at --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.talkatone.android&hl=en_US
I can now make and received phone calls and texts on my tablet.
What is nice is that person calling you does not need to have the Talkatone app.
I have tried all of the apps on google play and Talkatone was the only one that worked.

I recommend using a Bluetooth or some type of head set, mic is at the top and speaker is at the bottom. But it does work.

I don't have a bluetooth head set. I have used a wired headset with a mic and it works. Also the speaker works as well.
My uses the tablet in a older car. I have Android Auto and Waze setup on the tablet to make hand free.

Did you try Google Hangouts dialer app? Because it works well on my LG GPad X2 8.0 Plus. You can also use the Tmo digits App.

I could make outgoing calls with Google Hangouts, I was not able to get the tablet to receive phone calls with Google Hangouts.
The tablet could Not receive incoming phone calls with Google Voice or Google Hangouts.
I have not tried T-Mobile Digits App, but if it works that another great great solution.

I'm almost certain my LG X2 8.0 Plus tablet lets me receivo incoming calls via GV or GH but I'll double check and confirm this. Also with T-mobile latest uncarrier move people are going to be allowed to have a 2nd proxy Voice # after July 24. This could also be a good thing to use with TMO Digits app.
So do you still have the same LG Tablet? How does Talkatone work for you & how would you compare it with Text plus, line 2 & some of the other Free VoIP call/texts apps out there? I really like Google voice because you could even respond to text messages via Gmail or GV/GH out apps. Plus you could do a search through Gmail if you had to find any old messages.
I often use my Google voice number for listing stuff for sale online. So it's kind of like my business number.

I still have the tablet and I still use Talkatone on it.
I could never get Google Voice to receive phone calls.
I like that Talkatone worked without any problems.
Also the person calling you does not have to have Talkatone app on their phone.
