We can't help if we don't know what hardware/software you are using.
What is your operating system?
Windows? What version? I'm assuming Windows 10 since that is what this thread was intended for.
Are you using the built-in graphics or are you using a graphics card?

I don't use Double Twist myself, but the HD2 is not on the list of supported devices. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Also:
Are you connecting via USB or Bluetooth?
Are you fully sync'd with ActiveSync (or Mobile Center in Vista/Win7)?
Have you fully installed all Windows drivers for your phone?
---EDIT---
I found this thread over at doubletwist.com.
You are probably better off getting help there, but we might still be able to help you here...

Help, applied 4zroot and

Now I cant see the tab on my PC, I noticed the option to mount does not pop up when I connect it I need to pull it down from the tray on top and hit mount, but even then I dont connect to my PC, I do have the usb symbol in the tray of the tab but its not showing on my desk top. It also makes a different sound when connected than other USB devices and different from before 4z. Other than that Tab in functioning as always.
Any clues
I'd be interested in seeing the answer to this too.
All I've done to my tab is flash the Euro rom and bell modem to enable phone calls and then I did z4root to root my device. I tried to plug it into my computer yesterday to transfer some files over and I would get the mount prompt on the device but when I click it, my tab never shows up on my computer. Anyone know how to remedy??
Have you tried reinstalling drivers in the PC?

Dumb me! I'll have to check this when I get home, but I'm pretty sure I left it checked. Glad to hear it worked so I'm sure that's the cause. Thanks!

Has nobody else had this problem? Really?

cant transfer pictures to computer?

I tried to connect my nexus 4 to my PC , but it would not recognize it under my computer like it should so I could drag and drop. I tried mounting it as MTP and PTP and neither would be recognised.
I ended up transferring my pictures using adb, but I don't know why it didn't work the standard way.
Anyone have any ideas?
Have you tried using drop box? It's really simple and automatic. Just set it to upload only on Wi-Fi

I've used it before but I want to know why the nexus 4 was not recognised by my computer
Is Android debugging on?
Is it having trouble with installing the MTP driver ? Try turning off USB debugging, I couldn't get MTP to work until I did that.

Maybe you've got the same problem that we have here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2005437
Maybe you try:
A different USB port
A different USB cable
Uninstall existing drivers + installing the drivers again
A different computer
And if all that didn't help you can join us in the above mentioned thread. We don't have a solution yet but maybe we can draw some attention to the issue.
All the driver seem to be fine and the nexus 4 is recognised via adb. It used to work before so I don't what's wrong.
Edit: yes USB debugging was on
Ok, but that's actually good! What happens if you plug it into a different usb port?

It says your device could be faster with USB 2.0 and then it is not recognised.
Now that's really odd. Have you tried a different USB cable?

I'm using the stock lg cable. I'll try with my nexus 7 cable.
Edit with my nexus 7 cable it says connected by the windows 7 notification, but when I check in computer it does not show anything
But you have seen your N4 in the explorer before, right? I have seen my N4 on my GFs windows machine as Nexus 4, not as a storage device.

It shows up under devices and printers, but not under my computer
Edit:maybe it has to do with android 4.2 because I just plugged in a flash drive and it showed up under my computer
And what happens if you double-click it there? Can you get your pix then?
Edit: I didn't find my N4 as a storage device, so you can't find it as a letter in your explorer but a real device.

If I double click it it takes me to nexus 4 properties. My nexus 7 does not show up in my computer either that's what bled me to think it has to do with 4.2
Edit:nevrmind its not 4.2 because I just connected a lg motion which is running 4.0 and it does not show up either
Maybe someone with a win7 machine can chip in here, since I think it is a windows problem. I am on a linux laptop, so I can't really help you there. But good luck anyway!

Thanks for your help
By George, I fixed it I went into device manager I right clicked on SAMSUNG android phone then nexus 4 under that section, then I clicked update driver. Then I clicked on browse my computer for driver software after I clicked on let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer and I select mtp. The all of a sudden auto play came up with my device connected as a camera (ptp)
Now all my phones show up under my computer
MTP uses a completely different driver from ADB. So you can have one working but not the other.

Can someone can try "Headunit" ?

Hello everyone !
If I understood well, it's possible to install Android apps on a Nook Touch ?
If yes is it possible for someone who has a Nook Touch to try this app : http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/paid-software/android-4-1-headunit-android-auto-t3125252
It's an app to connect a Android phone using "Android Auto" to a tablet. I really want to know if this is working as the EINK displays are way better to put in a car (for the sun) and we don't need a high refresh rate !

Nope. It says it's for Android 4.1+
The NST runs 2.1
Too bad .
Thanks.
Of course the new Nook Glow Plus would probably work, it's 4.4.2
It's a quicker display than the old Nook and at 300 DPI, sharper too.
Also, the light is pretty good.
That's good to know !
Does someone has it and can test this app ?

It works. Well, it installs and give a nasty error message about not supporting USB Host Mode (Renate can probably help understand what that all means). Attached is a screenshot...
Not to dissuade you from your pursuit of an eink unit for the car,
but the Nexus 7 2013 is a pretty good device, nice car size,
good USB host working already, Marshmallow (6.0) and you can find them new for $150.
In any case, I'm certainly interested in getting USB host working on the NGP.

I already tried tablets in my car but same problem with any phone : the sun .
I have a cab, so I'm looking for a screen which can be used if there is a lot of light ! (and I also like to play with new things ...)
It's funny, I've never had any dealings with the USB API in Android.
I've just used the underlying Linux layer.
I wonder if there are cases where there is actual USB host mode, but the Android API was never implemented correctly?
The simplest test for basic host connectivity is connecting an OTG adapter and a regular USB keyboard.
The shift lock key should turn the shift LED on and off.
What does the headunit software want to talk to over USB?
Could it be done over a serial link instead?

Ah sorry I did not understand your question.
For this you need to plug a smartphone (android 5 at least).
It transforms the tablet in an Android Auto display (like a radio).
But if you have technicals questions about the app you should see with the developper, I'm only a single user .
Oh, I'm a little slow on the uptake.
The idea is to just mirror the display on your separate mobile phone?
I looked a bit more into the USB host mode.
I could be wrong, but it seems that the PCB is not even populated to connect the ID pin on the USB connector.
Of course there must be some software hack to force it into host mode.
