If you install firmware update, you will need to install Magisk again. Afterwards you should get everything like before, but new firmware version.

That sucks. I was hoping it'll update to the latest version.
6.2.7.6 has just started rolling out today so I'm hoping we can get a stock image soon for an updated debloated rom

For your convenience i've made a pre-rooted version of the 1.1.7 update available (this is the HK release, as available from this page).
This is completely stock with the exception that SuperSU is installed for root - more mods will follow.
Installation is via the usual method - copy to the internal SD card as update.zip, power off then power on with vol+ held and select 'Upgrade'.
Although I have installed on my device, you install at your own risk!

Hey man, I'm new to the Meizu MX. I just ordered the quad-core variant and I was wondering if this software update worked with a stock quad-core MX. I see you posted something else for the HK version; would that be the quad-core variant?
Cheers!

how about a more stock Android mod-I mean removing flyme launcher and replacing it with Nova or apex launcher. also stock Android settings and localizations would be great'
thanx for your work
would love a clean rom
i would love a clean stock jelly rom without flyme surface, i hope it will happen for this device soon
Will Meizu MX 4-core China work with this ROM?
Updated to version 1.1.7!

You guys might just want to use my 1.1.7 ROM instead of this, as it includes my Policy Bugfix (fixes Firefox Menu Button crash in addition to a bunch of other things).
Its prerooted too of course: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Bwr2Z0d0fThrSkhfUnVhTlNueXc
PS. for everyone that wishes to do so, feel free to incorporate my policy bugfix in your own roms too, its inside /system/framework/android.policy.odex.
@eyronic: Nope, HK version only.
Rollback from Flyme 2.1
Hi,
I installed the Flyme 2.1 on my HK Quad-core.
Do you know any way to rollback to one of you Roms?
I've tried MrColdBird file.. but it got stuck on the Meizu logo screen for about half an hour..
Luckily I was able to go back to the 2.1..
Tnx!

I was on that firmware as well and rolled back to my 1.1.7 Build just fine.
Make sure you wipe data when you install it though, as the 2.X builds convert the databases to a newer sqlite revision. :silly:
Leaving them as they are without wiping will result in force closes as the old 1.1.7 sqlite binary can't read them.
I have rooted mojo with the stock firm ware. I am trying to install Kodi 17.0 "Krypton". But it always give me the error. I downloaded the apk and try to install through ES Explore. They give me error message package not compatible. Please some one help me.
Why are you on stock firmware anyway?
Version 17 requires android 5.0 minimum. Why do you want 17 anyway?
Yes, stock MOJO is on 4.2.2 isn't it? You'd need to flash your device to CM 12.1 at this point to get Krypton. But of course, that will change again further down the road with future releases no doubt.
Maybe consider a Raspberry Pi 3 for Kodi if the latest is important to you. Otherwise I think Android generally is a bit of a pain with OS updates, and this will be an issue at some point.

I have been using the MOJO for a year (rooted W/stock and REMIX SO) Kodi 17 is not supported on Android 4.2 which is the stock MOJO rom. I was able to install Kodi once the box was moded to CM12 (android 5.x) or Remix OS.
Hello, I just got the notification to update my Blu R1 HD, the version of the update is v 9.2.
Someone already updated? is stable?
Thank you
Yes it's stable, no changes except the April 2018 Android Security Updates.
I'm very surprised Blu is still sending out updates for this almost 2 year old device, that's better then some major brands!

Don't give them too much credit. They are just attempting to make up for the numerous security debacles that they had with most of their phones in 2016 and 2017. Plus the security update is from Google, not Blu.
Blu likely only pushed the update to stay on good terms with the FCC. Who recently put Bans on Huawei, and ZTE. Why else would they update a two yr old phone, when they cannot provide promised nougat updates for several phones.
They are not reputable, they published marketing literature, made claims on social media sites, and in interviews where they promised nougat updates for phones released in 2017 that came with Android 6.0
A year later no updates.
I understand that Miui 9 can be installed on this phone. If I can figure it out I will share the files here.
Will there be a modified version of 9.2 for people with rooted phones?
Thanks!

I guess I am not stock since I am rooted and running xposed and removed ads.
So am I correct that to apply this update I should re-flash your 9.0 full ROM and then run your updater script before installing su and xposed and running the commands to delete the ads?
Thanks!

Yes. Look at the last couple post on the modified stock romntjread. Confirmed installs of the patch from stock v9. They went the long way and "de-bloated, un-rooted, etc".
Re flash v9 then the patch should be fine.
8 still need to edit the first post over on that thread to add this patch.

You can buy a LeEco S3 for $89 it has 3gb ram,Snapdragon 652 ( 8 core processor) 32gb hard drive, 1080*1920 resolution, 3000mah battery and about 30 working custom Roms. We have 4 leecos in our house 2 LePro 3s and 2 Se3s.
I just sold one of my Blu R1s for $50, almost pays for an SE3. Blu should embrace the developing community and release the source code to these phones, imagine the respect they would get.

Hi guys
I'm on Nougat and I have no plans of upgrading to Oreo via rebranding. But to those of you running Oreo, what version of the Camera app are you running? Mine is 4.1.1.
If you're running any newer versions, please provide me with the APK.
Thanks in advance
The App Version is 8.0.0. Unfortunally for you, you can't just use a camera version that is based on a whole different OS version, that maybe looks the same but is build a with a whole new way. The API that the app uses isn't made for nougat. If you wan't it that badly, just rebrand it, no harm done. Well, in short, we cannot provide you with the oreo apk that will work on nougat, that just doesn't exist.

I was actually able to update some of the stock apps from a Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 (With Oreo) to my Nougat-based P9. Not all apps were compatible, though. So I wanted to try updating the camera app.
And no, I don't want it that bad. It's just for the sake of trying

Some files are easy to change, others get in to brick or bootloop.
I was just wondering if this Android operating system self updates the way let's say Google apps update when there is a revision or do you have to update it manually and install a new version Everytime there is an update?? Sorry if this is a dumb question but in new to this scene
If this was just a regular phone with lineage os, you could update it to a new version by flashing it through TWRP. But since this is a Nintendo Switch we are talking about, hard to say since you need to download a whole image of android for the switch. Plus the size of the image varies a lot from 16 GB to 128 GB. I would join switchroot discord and ask them if they could implement it.

They said updates would be released as flashable zips. That's how custom roms usually do it. But no reason we can't have an OTA updater app that downloads the zip and reboots into recovery to do the flash like many custom roms have.
