Samsung s4 imei checker? help

hi guys i am buying a s4 second hand, my main concern is, its a contract and might get blocked, the seller has assured me its a pay as you go, but as there is no box how can a verify this. i need a free imei detail checker to tell me the warranty info and network status, im buying it later today so i would be very grateful if someone could give me a free solution soon thanks kind regards

The problem you're facing that you don't realize yet is that the IMEI could be good on the device now, but be blasklisted later after you buy it.
The scam is that a guy buys a phone on a post paid plan, makes the $99 down payment or whatever he has to in order to get it out of the store,buys the insurance protection against it, then sells you his phone.
A month later he reports his S4 stolen, the carrier blacklists what is now your device, and the insurance company sends him a new one for the $150 deductable or whatever the case is. All told he spends about $275 in up front costs and deductables and gets a brand new S4 worth $600. And you get screwed.
So be VERY careful buying a phone that could still be under warrenty.

This may be only for UK owners but at w w w motorola.kondor.co.uk you can enter your IMEI and receive a free Shell, colour options available too. Servers are not up yet so tomorrow or Monday it should be good to go.
This will mean ive gotten 3 free cases in total

What do you mean 3? I know only of 2:
1) The one that came with the tesco version (i suppose you have that one)
2) This one

I got a free white cover from phones4u when buying mine, be nuce to get free shell as been in 2 minds on whether to get one - what's the catch other than giving out imei?

Sorry should have mentioned i meant the black one too, i got a free pink case in the box and now this one too, the phone is my girfriends so shes over the moon, even though she might not use it much as she has the official flip case now, but you know girls they like to mix and match

I don't you should give them your IMEI... Unless kondor is a reputable site. It smells like a scam to me though.

Keep getting code you entered cannot be found after entering IMEI - will they have a list of which IMEI were sold when? Also mine is unlocked.

I'm getting IMEI not recognised too.

I bought mine locked to o2 cheaply off ebay, then unlocked it, my imei worked so maybe it's for o2 customers?
Went back on and entered my imei for a second time after placing an order and it doesn't stop me from ordering again which is a bit weird?

Over at HotUKdeals someone said they got an email from Kondor saying there's a delay in getting the IMEI's onto their server so try again Monday and it should work.

I don't think so, it's on the o2 website and my imei was accepted, haven't got a an order confirmation e-mail though

Just logged on to purchase my HTC One M9 -- notice they have the Developer Edition listed in addition to the Unlocked Edition.

The only difference (afaik) is that the Dev edition comes with an unlocked bootloader. Although the only way to get the gold color seems to be the unlocked variant. So do that if you have terrible taste.

You can boot loader unlock the unlocked model as well so don't see much difference.
Ordered the unlocked version in Silver color. Says ships on 03/30 and I chose one day shipping so should have this next Tuesday [emoji1]

I actually asked on twitter and they said they wouldn't have it. I hope its not a website mistake!!

This is the unlocked model from HTC.com not the T-Mobile branded version. I don't like carrier branded phones so chose the unlocked model.
T-Mobile will start pre orders from tomorrow morning.

does the purchase from htc.com require valid US address, card and contact no? I mean last time for suspicious orders they put things on hold and asked for a call to the CS.

Yes - the fine print on the site says it requires a US address. Not sure about a US card though, but they do require you to enter your billing address (which is US only as well).

In Canada, our credit card companies have the ability to add a valid secondary US address onto our profiles to avoid the hold issue. Can you do the same maybe?

Is the S2 a Bluetooth only or 3g model? Will it have the speaker or not?

No its not the 3g. Spoke with a sales rep and was told it's the Bluetooth one

It's the $300 grey model only.

Was anyone successful in redeeming the gear S2 promotion? I went through the process, but got an e-mail saying I wasn't eligible with my location code...

Funny thing, my gear s2 was shipped today but my phone hasn't shipped yet. Promotion works for me.

When I placed my order on vzw website it didn't give me the option to order the watch then. I was told to go to the Samsung promo site. How did you do this?

Does this mean the Verizon one is 3g? I can't tell from the order but will know soon enough I suppose. Yes, I did have to get the data plan for it but with the discount I am receiving along with instantly selling this thing, I am still saving money from at&t and will pocket whatever cash I get for the watch.

Yes, I'm located in the US. When I initially provided the information, I received an e-mail stating my Gear S2 order was in process. Then I got an e-mail stating I was ineligible, and included a link for me to try again. After filling out that page's information, I was taken to a page that said my promotion redemption was successful for the Gear VR. I called Samsung support and the person I spoke with told me that the order shows a Gear S2 will be mailed to me, and that she wasn't sure why the site showed a Gear VR instead. I guess I'll have to wait and see...

This promo is pretty much the only reason I'm picking the S7 Edge as a new phone.

You won't be making any money. The Early Termination Fee is $350 and you have to pay $40 to activate. So you'll actually be losing money.

Victim of a Fraud from Ebay seller

I purchased Lg G6 unlocked t-mobile from ebay India on a half price of original "this is what I was patting my back with pride for" for a while though. Well, today I got a prompt on my phone screen that T-mobile temporary unlock period is expired, please reboot. I could smell the issue by now and as soon as I rebooted another message said "Network Lock". Now my sim does not have network signals. It is as good as a brick because I do not have t-mobile sim nor I think this phone was outright'ly purchased before it landed in my hands.
Looking for options:
1) does flashing custom rom (If available) release the network lock?
2) are there software available that can unlock without t-mobile sim?
3) are there paid unlock services available for foreign network?
4) any other that I am not aware of?

My friend has the same issue. Bought a second hand Tmobile G6 and the sim couldnt get any signal. After a while googling I found that IMEI of the device is blacklisted.
Now I wonder if rooting the device and changing the IMEI would help.

There is a service on ebay,com which can make blacklisted imei as clean. search that up.

No solution yet. Tried few options but all in vain. Now, what I have found out that, If I downgrade it to Nougat 11g, then I can get it unlocked. Though I am not able to find one post where there was a complete procedure looks like it was deleted by the OP.
