hi all i have a note 4 910g from australia. the past 2 notes i have had were 910g's and when i root it works fine but when i install a recovery half my screen does not work like the calibration is all off. i got a new one today but i am afraid it will happen again. 1 thing that has happen in the notes that didnt happen with the new one a software update. if anyone from australia has got one from jb hi fi, that is where i got it help me please. i miss root access. i find root works fine but when i install a recovery the calibration is stuffed in both the samsung fm and in the recovery, i have tried cmw, twrp and philz , also downloaded xnote to see if it was just the stock fm but it put my phone in a boot loop. i have used sony for the past year, so i might be missing something. the steps i took was first download the root for 910g go into odin then put to pda and flash second i did was first flash the recovery on my phone which was the first note 4 , second note 4 i flashed the recovery using odin. i then when it didnt work i did a format, didnt work. then i flashed the australian latest firmware and still nothing. i got a new note 4 today and i am scared to try and root and flash a recovery, in scare of what has happened with the last two notes. thanks any help is much appreciated if you are on facebook i can send you videos of the problem i uploaded it to a note 4 group .
Hi Guys.
I bought a second hand Note 4, which is already a mistake. after a week it started giving me problems of no reception which only rom flashing helped (flashed the stock rom 5.0.1)
another week and it worked then suddenly lost reception, asked for "sim card pin number" and then crashed (after i clicked discard to the pin code message)
since then it restart itself every time after something like 60 seconds it's on.
recovery works, and nothing that i do helps. tried to re-flash it, wiped everything before and after flashing, tried to install CM 12.1 and some other roms
All going to the same basic result - no matter what, after 1-2 minutes the phone just crashes and resets
Anyone has any idea what could it possibly be? :|
i just suggested the same to another member, might help you aswell
1) Flash twrp recovery , go to wipe option hit "format data" then go to advanced wipe check dalvik cache, system, data and cache. Swipe to wipe
2) your phone will have no ROM at this point, go to sammobile download stock 5.0.1 firmware. Flash it.
3) This could be because some second hand phones are still on contract, people sell them overseas and get a new phone by claiming the previous one as stolen. So after sometime the carrier (Tmobile verizon etc) may blacklist the phone and then these phones start getting reception issues. Is your phone carrier branded ?
I suggest going for 5.1.1 and not 5.0.1 after you done what dork suggested above.
Ps. Remember to get the correct bootloader and modem for the desired firmware.
in my opinion you ve bought a Chinese device(fake) ( my mom also got scammed).
Hi guys I have a problem, I am using miui7 developer ROM and my phone has been compromised twice, I have had my bank account hacked(long story but calls where diverted and bank log in details changed) and 4 days ago someone tried to log on to my banking app remotely 5 times and so it was locked down, bank has confirmed it was my phone and my WiFi provider that was used and I know it wasn't me, so I have tried to flash 2 ROMs using all the correct methods and it always results in the same, a boot loop, I am wondering if partitions have been messed with, or if there is something hidden on the file system causing this, what I would like to do is wipe everything, I don't mean just system data cache etc I have tried all that unsuccessfully, I mean fully wipe and reset all the partitions memory emc chip and totally start fresh, can anyone help please, I really need to sort it out I know my phone is compromised because of things that have happened. Any solutions please. Anyone experienced malware in miui7 ROMs? Your help is really appreciated.

Redmi note 4g single sim doir, bootloader not sure never unlocked so presume locked, rooted and unrooted tried both methods, flashed plenty of ROMs in the past without trouble.
Sorry but i cant really help since i do not own the device. It would probably be best to try to find a solution on miui forum, directly ask a member of a Dior device team. And don't know if you flashed through recovery or fastboot mode - try both mehtods, also developer/stable rom. I think flashing through fastboot also acts as a full factory reset. There must be a tutorial for unbricking or resolving bootloops. Also try some custom cm/aosp based roms to see if the phone will boot. And since miui is chinese, you can presume that there is some data leaking, but i don't think that it contains malware - it would be too much even for xiaomi (unless you "picked up" some shady script/trojan/whatever along the way).
Hello guys,
I want to apologize myself for my poor english and the mistakes I will do.
I explain you my problem : I get a GN4 witch was sold as "reboot alone, bootloop". I was thinking that a factory reset solve the problem, like often.
But the phone don't make a bootloop : it freeze and it reboot. It freeze most of the time during the first "picture", when you see "SAMSUNG Galaxy note 4, propulsed by Android". Sometimes it come to the next step, with samsung writen.
I am able to go in dowload mod and flash with Odin. I flash many stock roms (full wipe in 4 files included) and many bootloaders but it doesn't work. Most of the times after the flash, the phone go further than before do it : it come easy to the samsung logo.
When I got it I was not able to go in recovery mode but since I flash TWRP I can flash custom roms and make wipes.
The strange fact : When I received the phone, it boots normaly and I have use it during several hours. When I shut it in order ti put my SIM card in, it begin to reboot.
And today after many flashes, I succeed to boot entierely the phone. But my problem still persist, when I shuted off the phone at 7:00PM I was never able to boot it normaly.
So I am pretty sure that is a soft problem, and it is only during the boot. Since the phone is start there is no problem, downloadmod et custom recovery ok.
So have you a idea of what it could be? Is there other sofware parts wich can be endommaged appart Odin's one?
I ask the question on a french forum but they don't have the skills of XDA forumers . They don't know what it could be
I really thank a lot every body who had the bravoure to read this, and thank more than that who have a solution to this problem !!
So sorry for my english
Hi everyone,
I had issues with the update of my OnePlus 5 as stated on this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/help/oneplus-5-update-fails-t3866533
I tried the solutions that were given to me but it wouldn't work, since TWRP kept returning ERROR 7.
I finally managed to install OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_040_all_1811051816_c6670cf.zip thanks to twrp-3.2.1-1-cheeseburger.img without getting any error but my phone got stuck at the "Dots turning" logo when I boot.
I looked around a lot trying to find a solution and as far as I understood, it may be due to the addition of Treble to OnePlus. I tried to wipe everything thanks to TWRP and flash my phone back to OxygenOS 5.1.3: OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_036_all_1806131715_b5381c0ef26d9e.zip but it's still stuck.
Could anyone help me ?
Thanks a lot

A HUGE thank you ! It worked perfectly.
Note for people who might see this thread : it locked my bootloader, I had to unlock it back (and wipe all data). Flashed TWRP and Magisk, everything works perfectly
