Started with marshmallow,
Unlocked bootloader
attempted to install Slim7
seemed to work but with some possible errors, (wouldn't sync with google... retrospect I should have looked elsewhere before...)
attempted in install stock rom
using
ZTE_A2017GV1.2.0B04_BootStack_by_tron1.zip
ZTE_A2017GV1.2.0B04_Stock_System_by_tron1.zip
which wouldn't boot
So I tried reinstall Slim7
then stock again,
then, like the noob that I am, I removed twrp with
ZTE_A2017GV1.2.0B04_Full_Stock_Reverter_by_tron1.zip
which installs stock recovery
so, now I have a stock rom that won't boot,
an unlocked bootloader
and stock recovery
Not sure what to do from here
thanks in advance for any assistance.
I can abd sideload and update from SD card, but everything I have fails signature verification.
edit: so frustrating trying to find that 1 zip

Just use MiFlash, that one's guaranteed to work. Read my DFU unbrick guide to know how to use it. Just skip the part where you have to disassemble the phone, since you can get to EDL mode by (with the phone off and the USB cable connected to the PC) holding both volume buttons and inserting the USB-C cable to the phone.
I did read your guide, was, hoping to avoid dismantling it...
I tried pressing all 3 buttons.
Am I understanding the procedure correctly:
[phone switched off] + usb-C cable connected to PC only
MiFlash running at this point??
Hold both volume keys in and in insert Cable to Phone
at this point is the phone supposed to switch on?
At no point am I supposed to press the power button?

Ah.... ok... so, the phone will display nothing, rely on the sound of PC and/or the device manager check and/or hit refresh on miflash
Fyi to anyone, if you have axon7toolkit installed and thus can't install a second version of MiFlash, open up the toolkit and hit 7 (unlock bootloader) to fire up MiFlash... or just go to C:\XiaoMi\XiaoMiFlash
the FULL_EDL file I have produces a couldn't find script Error when loading into MiFlash
so far when attempting to flash all zips
I have started MiFlash with admin
unzipped FULL_EDL file to a folder in root C:\ and ensured there are no spaces in address.
Every time / Every file produces couldn't find script error when loaded into MiFlash
when I attempt to flash the file it says cannot receive hello packet and then times out with an error
Tried disabling anti-virus/firewall, still same error
upgraded MiFlash to 2017.4.24.0 ( older 2016 is included with axon7toolkit), this removes the couldn't find script error, but still not receiving a hello packet, gunna fiddle with the phone as I'm pretty sure the error is coming from there

rebooted phone, turned off, restarted into EDL, flashed the stock rom from zte site... is in chinese... but it works. Thank you Thank you

it offers a file "AXON 7(ZTE A2017G) SD card software package(328540B2634ZTE A2017GV1.0.0B11)"
which hints at being compatible with A2017G... but is A2017V and is chinese, although you can change the language in settings there is still plenty here and there, plus chinese bloatware
and No, I didn't get cell signal.
I've gone back to Marshmellow, I will try again, didn't think it would be so different/difficult... Although wow at MiFlash.

... after I finally got it working again (thanks for the assist), I thought relocking it was just making it secure again. I been rooting/unrooting and swapping out roms since the galaxy s2, who'd think you can't unlock and relock... I do think there should be warnings as it is too easy a mistake to make... lmao stop doing dumb stuff you start first
My phone is insured so I'm not overly fussed, but others will be less fortunate.

I bay this phone whit broken screen, i change the screen and try sim card but the phone is locked Whit google account... When I try my sim to test microphone, the phone it's work OK, but I unlock google account whit add tools and after that my phone don't have a service.
Phone tells no service or turned off airplane mode...what is not true... I can change the 4g/3g/2g connection to only 3g or something else... Wi-Fi and everything else work great but no service... The phone see what operator is on sim but no service... Somebody to help me please and tell me some tutorials how to fix?
I by this phone from Denmark and now I'm in Serbia... Eny help please

Thing is a few months ago, I've got this phone with broken screen and dead battery, so i've got those two few days ago, and fixed phone, but when i turn it on, it just restarts after HUAWEI logo.
I can enter recovery, tried factory data, but still same
I've tried dload metod with SD card with VNS-L21C432B131, it is updating, and i think it finish it, but again it won't start.
Other versions won't pass 4%
i can enter fastboot, bootloader is locked, and i'ts FRP locked, so can't realy unlock bootloader :/
I have downloaded this DC - Unlocker, and it gives me IMEI and Serial Nr, and also it says that now Firmware is VNS-L21C900B131
Has anyone had this situation? Can this be fixed?
Alsno, first time to see this DC-unlocker, is it sure that it would unlock FRP and Bootloader, maybe then i'll be able to fix?

Hello dude,
it seems that your firmware is now "C900" that mean you have global firmware...
Don't worry about this...
I think you can use the toolkit in the link below and bring your phone back to life..
You may also ask for some help, surely some users or the DEV will look at you...:fingers-crossed:

it looks like that it's C900, but problem is that it doesn't want to start when i install any other version, i have tried with every version I have found to download, and still same
this toolkit doesn't want to recognize my phone, and all drivers are istalled
Multi-tool 8 recognizes my phone in fastboot, I even managed to get bootloader unlocking code, but still i can't unlock it cuz FRP is locked...
looks like it's end of this phone

did you try the rollback method in dload? 2 files small one and the update.app one.

put the phone off like go in erecovery and shut down,

Yes, tried before, with updates for L21, didn't work.
tried again now, but, after smalla update, doesn't want anymore to enter recovery, or start another update, when i push buttons, it now stuck on huawei logo...
still can enter fastboot xD
Hello forum, does anyone have the solution for error in LGUP :" file does not support refurbish process" , i can select upgrade flashing but since i deleted whole OS, it gives error at around 50%. I tried changing .dll files and downloading mutiple kdz files but they all give same result . If anyone has the solution or advice he/she would help me A LOT.
Button combo to fastboot mode - hold power down and plug cable from computer to phone.
Then either using commands or all-in-one to flash twrp. Button combo to twrp then install rom from there.
Thanks for solution, that also came to my mind but I can't unlock the bootloader to flash TWRP since it gives error that allow OEM unlock is not ticked in developer options. I have unlock.bin but I can't allow OEM unlock since there is no OS installed on phone. Phone just boots to download mode.

Thanks for solution, that also came to my mind but I can't unlock the bootloader to flash TWRP since it gives error that allow OEM unlock is not ticked in developer options. I have unlock.bin but I can't allow OEM unlock since there is no OS installed on phone. Phone just boots to download mode.
Have you tried fix phone option under LG Bridge? Or something like that...

Well I tried that as well everything seems fine process goes up to about 40-50% and phone just reboots and LG bridge gives error as well. Until now I didn't manage to enable refurbish mode. Now there is no OS installed and phone boots only in download mode. Before it at least bootlooped. I started to think that motherboard is screwed but I can't find spare part to replace it. Warranty expired unfortunately...
If I find spare motherboard I will try to replace it thanks for your help, if you have idea where to get one help me please. Thanks again! :angel:

Hello, were you able to resolve it? I ran into same issue today and after numerous attempts, I'm able to Upgrade flash my V20.

Try the following steps; Upon rebooting your pc, disable all antivirus including window defender's real time protection. Copy your LGUP_Common.dll to the correct folder. Connect your phone in download mode to pc and run UPPERCUT "As Administrator". Coming from Nougat to Oreo, i tick Upgrade. Hope these solve yours too if not too late.
You should try LG DualMode from @tecknight
Works perfectly. Refurbish also works in his version of LGUP

TWRP is still installed and magisk as well, but now it's not rooted and the bootloader is still locked. I am so confused about how this happened, does anyone have any ideas why this happened, or what I can do to repair it? The phone still works but it won't update and it's a little wonky. msm download tool doesn't even recognize it. thank you for any help!
EDIT: now it won't boot up to anything, only boots into the bootloader, won't go into recovery or anything. please help! haha

I faced a similar issue but I was able to get it working through the MSM tool. Make sure you are holding the volume up and volume down for 15 seconds before connecting it to MSM. It should work if you follow the guide.
Hi, I need help with my evice, I used a script founded in a thread here to flash stock rom 8.0 oreo, but that locked the bootloader now I cant unlock it because when phone starts im stuck on oreo wizard with no wifi or data to acces oem unlock in developer settings, is there any way to skyp this wizar or to flash with locked bootloader, wherever i tried to flash another frimware i have the error mesage, Bootloader "Permission Denied".

Yes but it says that I need to turn oem unlock on the developer options since I cannot pass the wizard I cant tur the option on. =c

Even if you get past the wizard, you still wouldn't be able to re-unlock the bootloader. It would stay gray forever. The only solution now is to get your phone hard bricked so you can enter edl mode and re-unlock it. You need either a deep flash cable, or short the 2 connection JTAG points from the motherboard. I'm on the same boat, but never got to do this to confirm if it works.

NO, you can pass the wizard with no internet connection, I did it several times on my evert, just keep saying yes to everything (unless you frp locked which would be weird since is not by default enabled) Once you pass the wizard use the tool I provided previously to unlock bl
