Can i install any rom, recovery, with the help of stock recovery?
My device is not booting at all, it stock at galaxy s4 logo.
I can go to stock recovery & download mode
My pc & odin is not detecting my phone in download mode& recovery mode(I had changed about 10 data cables & 2 laptops windows 7,10 & all version of odin, I had tried installing every samsung drivers, kies, just every thing)
So plz help me out.
No, you can't.
And since your phone is not being detected, the only solution is to take it to a shop.
But if you can boot into odin or download mode then you have still a chance. Be sure you have a samsung driver to be able your computer and odin detect your phone
Is it possible the phone's USB port is damaged?
I was trying to update my Axon 7 Mini with an update zip from here https://www.ztedevices.com/en/support/detail?id=03743F4E761C475F838D444384791D36
Extracted the update.zip from the download. put the update.zip in the root of my sd card. Applied through recovery using sd card update. The phone accepted the file. Said it was successful. I wiped the cache partition and selected reboot system. The phone never turned on again. No signs of life whatsoever. Plugged into my desktop PC. Windows detects it but doesn't recognize it. I need some MAJOR help please.
Can you enter the recovery again by pressing volume up and power simultaneously? If not, then you will probably need to enter emergency download "EDL" mode and flash firmware using EDL Tool. Do you have an european version of phone? On my Axon 7 Mini I just upgraded directly from Marshmallow to Nougat without any problems.
So, how to enter the EDL mode, please look here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-axon-7-universal-unbrick-t3814413
Maybe you will need the EDL cable or you can try this "DIY hack video". - I had also bricked phone and this video helped me a lot!
When the phone is in EDL mode then you will need the firmware and EDL Tool for flashing.
Good Luck!

Windows doesn't recognize it in through the usb drivers in EDL mode so idk if it can go into that mode manually. Definitely not by command prompt.
Hello everyone,
I have a Galaxy a3 2016 of a friend with a broken screen (completely blank, no light, no touch).
I need to recover the data inside but, until now at least, I had no luck.
The device is completely stock (no usb debugging, no oem unlock etc.), so i cannot access it from kies or explorer on windows.
After installing Samsung USB Drivers and adb/fastboot on my pc i tried to connect in download mode but "adb/fastboot devices" command shows nothing.
I tried to flash a twrp recovery with odin but it fails in the beginning trying to write recovery.img.
In this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/help/help-broken-screen-recover-files-t3473540
a user states that i don't need usb debugging or anything to flash a custom recovery...but i still can't do it...
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I'm trying to install TWRP on a Galaxy A5 SM-A510F.
What I did :
Activate developer options
In developer options, enable USB Debugging
In developer options, enable OEM Unlock
reboot in download mode
with heimdall, downloaded PIT in a510f.pit
with heimdall, flashed twrp with the command : heimdall flash --pit a510f.pit --RECOVERY twrp-3.5.0_9-0-a5xelte.img
Heimdall says flash is successful, but when I reboot the phone in recovery mode, I'm still on the original Android recovery. Here is the flash log : https://pastebin.com/GdDbTEgE
Another problem that may be related : when I want to reboot in bootloader/fastboot mode, either from android recovery or from adb, it restarts in a normal mode.
Am I missing something ?
Thanks
Hello; I'm trying to restore my friend's tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab E, SM-T560) to factory settings. I've tried everything from recovery mode but it comes up with error message and it doesn't work.
Can anyone recommend best tool (preferably free) to flash Android tablet's firmware?
Download Odin and download the firmware from Sammobile
Thank you, I'll give it a try
I installed Odin and tried to reset the tablet but it doesn't work. It's not recognised when connected to PC in both Recovery Mode and Download mode, but when it starts in normal mode it's recognised (but can't use it as I don't have a password).
In Download Mode it says:
"Odin Mode
Secure Download: Enable
MDM Download Block: 0"
Any advice would be very much appreciated
or is there a free software to remove lockscreen password? Something like 3UTool for Android?
