[Help] Asus Zenfone Max (ZC550KL) SD410 Bricked. - Asus Zenfone Max Questions & Answers

Hello!
After getting my charging port repaired, my phone suddenly restarted and is now stuck on the boot logo. When I power + vol up, it just restarts and stays there in the logo, no animation, no loop.
If it's off and I charge it, the LED responds and I see the charging animation, but when I boot it up it gets stuck on the logo again.
I've tried searching a bit in the forums but all the links are expired or are inaccessible.
Anyone have any experience and resources to fix?

to boot into recovery, turn off phone, then press VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON as soon as device vibrates, release power button but keep on holding VOL DOWN until you see recovery.

Without doing anything it shows:
"
E: unknown volume for path [/factory]
E: unknown volume for path [/factory]
Supported API: 3
E: failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)

[Q] stuck at boot animation after fastboot erase cache

I booted my phone to fastboot mode and issued the following command in linux:
fastboot erase cache.
then I reboot my phone to fastboot mode again and issued:
fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.9-mako.img
the phone reboots into clockwork recovery and then I choose backup in the menu. but the backup stops at about 70% progress with error:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open/cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open/cache/recovery/last_log
so I go back to the parent menu and choose reboot now. now the phone can't be booted! it stays at the google logo for several minutes, which is longer than usual and finally the "X" animation appears. but it stuck at the animation for over 10 min now.
what went wrong? is it caused by the "fastboot erase cache" or by the backup using clockmod? please help

ok, I solved the problem by rebooting the phone into stock recovery (with android robot and a red exclamation mark) and choosing wiping the data / reset then rebooting the phone.
after I choose "wiping data/reset", there is a message saying something like "cache partition formatted". I guess this brings my phone back? I don't know what exactly "fastboot erase cache" does. but my guess is it wipes out the cache partition but does not reformat it, and my phone needs a formatted cache partition to boot successfully. anyone can explain?

now I can also use clockwork mode to backup, no Can't mount /cache error anymore.

LG G2 not recognized while in Download Mode

Hello all
This is the story of my lg g2 D802:
- wipe data / factory reset from twrp;
- format /cache and /data partition with f2fs;
- install Cloudy G2 3.0 with their patch.
When i boot up, i got the screen "Insert PIN / Password for decrypt" or something like that.
Now, i have installed the latest LG Mobile driver from the site, but when i go to download mode, my windows wont recognize my lg g2.
When i'm at the screen that ask me password, windows recognize it! So, if i try to back to stock with lg flash tool 2014, the procedure is aborted because when the phone goes to download mode, it can install the original firmware.
What can i do?
Solved:
I just try to enter in recovery mode.
So, when guys tell you that you should press power button + vol up to enter in recovery mode, they are right!
They wrong about the timing!
I hold the vol- and the power button but about every 2-3 second, i quickly release the power button and then press it again.
It appears me a screen with korean char and then TWRP screen
After that, i format /data and /cache with EXT4 (so, i never have more f2fs partitions in my phone)
Byez (and sorry for my bad english).

Flash stock nougat rom I recommend dqlc. If you flash home csc you wont lose data.
https://espdroids.com/thread-13.html
Use home csc from a different nougat rom.
https://www.google.nl/amp/s/forum.x...cial-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3335065/amp/
Turn off device then volume down plus home plus power button hold it till you see download mode.
Your phone is dead
Your issue is simple. Your phone is hard bricked. Hard brick is basicly as useless as a brick.

s8+ SM-G955FD - can't boot

Hi, I'm trying to boot into OS after flashing by odin but I can't.
I dont have access to Android Recovery (power button + volume up). The only think I can do is to boot in Downloading Mode. Even if I flash other system I dont have access to Android Recovery, either TWRP.
Can someone please help me?
If I let it boot normally I get NO COMMAND SCREEN, and if I press Power + Volume Up I get a screen with the following script:
#fail to open recovery_cause(No such file or directory)#
#Reboot Recovery Cause is [UNKNOWN]#
File-Based OTA
Supported API: 3
# MANUAL MODE v1.0.0#
.
.
_symlink] fail to mount /system as rw
