wanted to update my phone to 2.3 but i rooted and flashed the liberty 1.0 and was looking for a way to go back since Rom Manager did not save my back up so i went to this thread TBH & MyDroidWorld Present: Droid 2 (2.3.20) Triple Threat and followed these steps without uploading anything on to the sd card dumb move i know !
To install the above files you need to follow these directions:
1) boot phone into recovery
2) go to mounts and storage
3) format system
4) mount system
5) install zip from sdcard
6) choose zip from sdcard
there was obviously nothing in there to load so i went back to reboot system and now my phone will not make it pass the first boot screen if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated !
It keeps on looping in boot animation i got it to a screen displayed like this once dont know how though ..
Bootloader

E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
But i don't know what to do after i've tried wipe data/factory reset = nothing
Ive tried reboot system now = nothing
Ive tried apply sdcard:update.zip = failed to verify whole-file signature
I am clueless ... even if you can't help maybe spread my post to see if anyone out there can Thanks !

I have the Magic as a brick. Yesterday I did a backup and when I restarted it was the first splash. I tried to restore other backups and I was the same. Then I tried again to flash Rom was passed nor the first splash. Now if you turn it on, it restarts at thirty seconds and get the recovery, but does not work the ball and I can not go down the recovery menu and also where it says: Build: RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G below I get:
E: Can not open CACHE: recovery / log
I can enter fastboot do not know if will work.
Does anyone know how to resurrect it?

Flash a sappimg and re root.
Or you could ship it to me and ill try to fix it for a small fee

Flash stock nougat rom I recommend dqlc. If you flash home csc you wont lose data.
https://espdroids.com/thread-13.html
Use home csc from a different nougat rom.

Turn off device then volume down plus home plus power button hold it till you see download mode.
Your phone is dead
Your issue is simple. Your phone is hard bricked. Hard brick is basicly as useless as a brick.
Hello!
After getting my charging port repaired, my phone suddenly restarted and is now stuck on the boot logo. When I power + vol up, it just restarts and stays there in the logo, no animation, no loop.
If it's off and I charge it, the LED responds and I see the charging animation, but when I boot it up it gets stuck on the logo again.
I've tried searching a bit in the forums but all the links are expired or are inaccessible.
Anyone have any experience and resources to fix?

to boot into recovery, turn off phone, then press VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON as soon as device vibrates, release power button but keep on holding VOL DOWN until you see recovery.
