Hello,
On my SM-T580 (TAB-A wifi) I flashed the last official rom with odin : PDA : T580ZCU5CSF1 / CSC : T580CHN5CSF1
2019-08-23 Release 8.1.0 T580ZCU5CSF1.
The flash went well but the tablet doesn't start anymore (black screen when switching on).
when I start in "download" mode, I get the download screen in chinese ...
However it is absolutely impossible for me to flash any other official ROM.
the flash starts and then goes to fail immediately with an error message in chinese "Bootloader locked".
the message on the tablet is: SW REV. Check fail ( bootloader) Device:5, Binary: 4.
I understand that the bootloader is now in release 5 and that all other ROMs are in 4 maximum. So it doesn't seem possible to downgrade my tablet and install an official (or unofficial) rom.
It seems to me that there is no solution as long as Samsung will not develop a functional ROM with a bootloader in release 5.
Do you have a solution for a possible downgrad or to make my tablet work ?
I also tried to flash a sm-t585 bootloader with a version 5 bootloader but without success.
Hi, did you found a solution? I did the same , and I have the same problem, the only difference is that I'm able to use my tablet, I flashed the last chinese firmware from march, its functional but with no google services.

The only way to bypass a locked bootloader/downgrade your bootloader is to buy a JTAG/Riff/Octoplus box and write the firmware you want to flash directly to the board.
Hi I have the same problem,
I was looking on Sam firmware for latest firmware and saw firmware for last month for my t580
Problem was it was Chinese, I thought just change the language during setup right? And then after I oem unlock and enable adb I can flash TWRP then root.
HOW WRONG WAS I?
The problem is the firmware for the t580 in China has bootloader locked.
Not only that, the bootloader has been updated to recent firmware and the btu (UK) and other firmwares only have a patch 6months prior.
So I am screwed unless the other countries update to a later security patch so I can pass the SW rev check and unlock bootloader again.
Just so noone else tries this as it's a PIA
#####EDIT ##### To solve this problem let the tablet boot up with the error code, connect to odin and flash the Chinese firmware again, then download and install crom service apk, goto developer options and do the usual, adb enable, oem unlock. Open the crom service app and select OK/Off whatever and reboot to download mode...
Once reboot to download mode and you will see crom service off and will be able to flash twrp, roms etc again.

I purchased a Galaxy Edge S7 SM-G935FD Unlocked International Edition (Exynos?) from Amazon US. In an attempt to flash TWRP with Odin, I mistakenly checked re-partition. I thereafter received "an error has occurred while updating the device .... use Emergency Recovery .... in Smart Switch". When I attempt to do so (ie. reinstall stock firmware), I am asked for my Model Number and Serial Number, which I provide. The firmware download appears to complete, but the install does not complete. So here's my questions:
-Givfen my prior repartition, should the Smart Switch Emergency Recovery work, or if not what do I need to do to recover?
-Smart Switch is trying to flash "Initialized Version: : PDAB6 / CSCB4 / PHONEB6 (ACR)". Is that correct for my International Edition?
-I am very confused by the above version code versus the G935FXXU..... firmware codes for rom downloads on websites. What is the correct firmware code for my International Edition?
Thx, Gus
So you need to download the Offical Sammy Firmware for your phone and flash it all via odin
So you can Re-Partition.
Once booted up, repeat your stages avoiding the erros you made the first time./
Hi,
After receives OTA Nougat for my device i feel its very laggy and slow. Then i try to downgrade it to Marshmallow by using Odin.
First i enable the OEM unlock and usb debugging. Then download the latest Marshmallow firmware [latest november] that match my model.
Odin detected it and no problem when flashing. The phone then rebooted.
After the Samsung logo appear, the screen ask for password pattern and has the same wallpaper lock screen that i have for Nougat.
I unlock the password pattern then many popup windows saying bla bla .exe has stop working. Screen suddenly on and off and i cannot access anything.
I then try flashing another Marshmallow firmware [october update] but the problem still same.
Lastly i flashing back the Nougat firmware and its working back as normal but the performance are really bad and very slow.
May i know why i cannot downgrade to Marshmallow?
What is firmware version u have right now what binary it has?

Right now im using this Nougat
Version Android 7.1.1
Security Patch Level 2017-08-01
Product code XME
PDA J510GNDXU2BQK1
CSC J510GNOLB2BQK1
Binary: Samsung official
FRP lock : off
I already find my solution.
"You will now need to go into Recovery Mode to wipe the cache. Regardless of what the phone is now doing, likely a boot loop. Press and hold VOL UP+HOME+POWER to boot into Recovery Mode. You will have a back screen with a text menu. Navigate with vol keys and select with power button. Choose WIPE/FACTORY RESET. Followed by WIPE CACHE. Then choose the reboot phone option."
This above step i miss. Now i already have my Marshmallow back.
I have this S7 Edge Verizon which a few days ago gave me a problem. I was using the phone just for a few days. While using it, social media normal stuff it self restarted ( notice that it was pretty hot, but it's a usual thing at this point ) and it got stuck in logo.
P.S: I am really familiar with this kinda stuff because I work at a phone service.
So I tried the usual stuff, wiping cache and data but it didn't solve any thing. So I decided to flash official rom. I downloaded the oreo rom from sammobile and when I tried to flash it, it just skipped all files. I thought this would be due the verizon model, because it's bootloader was locked and oem unlock wasn't enabled. I tried to flash the firmware without the bootloader and with pit but no result. Than I decided to enable oem unlock throught combination file.
When I downloaded combination file, at the website it said G935V but it actually was G935A, and somehow it flashed successfully without any problems. But after reset the phone was stuck at the very first Samsung Logo with some cpu and voltage information at the top left corner with a warning saying RPMB provisioned.
At this point I thought I might as well flash the stock firmware again but this time I got bootloader error and trying to flash it without a bootloader it would skip all files saying something like " skipping all binary files " as before. Bare in mind that during all this testing the phone got really heated. So I let it cool for a while and still nothing happened. Than I decided to flash this boot_root file I found and it actually booted up the Combination Rom. I enabled usb debugging in the settings but there was no Oem Unlock option, not even grayed out ( maybe because the rom G935A does not have the option ).
Even the USB debug enabled it still couldn't flash stock rom because of bootloader error and some binary error also and again if i didn't include bootloader it would skip all files.
I was thinking of installing a custom rom but I found out that there is not twrp avaible for s7 edge verizon because of it's locked bootloader. And if I try to install supersu through adb it just doesn't work.
Now my download section looks like this
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G935A
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FRP LOCK: ON (don't worrie about it, i got all the gmail info)
WARRANTY VOID: 0x0 (the warranty has expired anyways)
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
RP SWREV: B5(2, 1, 1, 1, 1 ) K1 S4
SECURE BOOT: ENABLE
IDOQ : G(42), S(12) mA
CPU SERIAL NUM : 0x1408501f
Fused open loop voltage: 970mV
RPMB PROVISIONED
The Samsung first boot up screen still has the RPMB PROVISIONED with the cpu information and also the custom flagg and I am able to boot up the combination rom.
I also tried to flash the official rom with z3x but it didn't solve anything. If you need any additional information just tell me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You need to download official firmware from another source. I recommend updato.com.
https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=4F3A1B13706611E89F15FA163EE8F90B
You need to flash the latest Oreo firmware for the Verizon SM-G935V because it sounds like your phone has issues with your current bootloader. Go back to the Verizon firmware first and see if the phone works normally. Also, flash the regular CSC file not CSC_HOME.
Help
I too have the same exact problem. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?
Hi community,
I tried to flash TWRP and LOS via Odin, but anytime it failed in download mode. On the download screen was a message blocked by "FRP Lock" . I read anywhere this FRP is to avoid that e.g. stolen phone can be flashed - just owner can do. So i did a factory reset (so removed my personal "connection" to the phone) and it worked . I flashed TWRP, flashed LOS 16 - super ! All worked fine - no problems.
BUT after I switched of the phone and I wanted to switch on the phone again it stopped in bootloader (or first black screen) with message "Custom binary blocked by FRP". I was not able to start into TWRP (power+home+volume up), just into download mode. So I tried to flash again TWRP -> blocked by FRP! But now I could not do as in very first beginning a factory reset to avoid FRP block, because phone didn't boot.
I downloaded original firmware latest version (german unbranded version - its a german unbranded phone), but flashing in Odin works only in BL, AP, CSC, but in CP it failed (I tried first all, and then step by step). So phone does not boot. It has boot loop with samsung logo.
Because it seemed that in each status the phone does not charged I opened phone and removed battery to avoid that I can't test anything because of empty battery. I don't have any idea what to do now. Is my phone bricked or is there a chance to switch of FRP if I am not able to boot the phone normally?
Regards Odiad
SOLVED: I found a good explanation in a german Forum, and in addition (one of my problems) I could get SamFirm to run (I had trouble with MS C++ 2008), so with new/other ROM I was able to flash without problems and now mobile works fine again...
Regards Odiad

Do you recieve the "Only Official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" error in Download mode? Or do you get the error at boot up? If its just in download mode and you can boot up then enable OEM unlocking in developer options and wait 7 days (Connected to the internet without reboots). Then RMM state: Prenormal will clear and you will be able to flash anything you want. (root, TWRP, etc.)
If you get the error on boot then you have to try different stock firmware until one flashes, I found this thread about a solution to this same problem: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...lashed-rmm-prenormal-oem-locked-t3805049/amp/
Once you can boot up normally do what I said above for unlocking the bootloader and clearing RMM state: Prenormal. Then, you will be able to flash TWRP, root etc.
