Do you recieve the "Only Official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" error in Download mode? Or do you get the error at boot up? If its just in download mode and you can boot up then enable OEM unlocking in developer options and wait 7 days (Connected to the internet without reboots). Then RMM state: Prenormal will clear and you will be able to flash anything you want. (root, TWRP, etc.)
If you get the error on boot then you have to try different stock firmware until one flashes, I found this thread about a solution to this same problem: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...lashed-rmm-prenormal-oem-locked-t3805049/amp/
Once you can boot up normally do what I said above for unlocking the bootloader and clearing RMM state: Prenormal. Then, you will be able to flash TWRP, root etc.

I tried everything for hours. Till I gave up
All I want is to be able to root this phone. I would get stuck at samsung logo after rooting and OS won't boot

Please help guys I tried everything I found in the internet. I flashed TWRP with download mode, then would remove the battery and boot to recovery, install the supersu zip and reboot, that was the tutorial I was following but didn't work.
Hello bro
First : goto developer options and enable oem unlock
Then flash the twrp recovery with odin . Then install flashable supersu
That's what was I did to root my J5 too and done successfuly
Best regards..

About phone: Huawei P9 lite VNS-L21C432B161 (central Europe)
First modifications
A long time ago i unlocked bootloader and successfully rooted the phone. I turned off OEM unlock option in settings after rooting, because someone said i should do so for security. Then came EMUI 5 OTA. It somehow updated itself without me agreeing. Android nougat detected, that the bootloader was unlocked and so it assumed that OEM unlock option was also ENABLED when it really wasn't, making me unable to re-enable the option.
So i used the https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/tutorial-rollback-n-to-mm-c432-devices-t3563955432-devices-t3563955" <-- official rollback package and installed stock ROM through dload.
Here is the part where i messed up horribly
Now i wanted to update to android 7 again, but updater wasn't giving it to me and i was unable to flash it through TWRP. I installed the rollback package again through download mode as it said it allows any ROM to be installed, hoping i could then install android 7 through Download mode, which would in turn allowed me to install newer version of TWRP to then install a nougat based custom ROM.
Current situation
Now i am stuck at the 'Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted. TWRP 3.0.1 should be installed but it never boots. Can't access bootloader, phone doesn't seem to be detecting the Power+Volume down combination. Recovery gets stuck at the shorter warning screen during boot, erecovery gets stuck as well. This has been like this even before i tried this, no idea what caused it. I can't even access download mode, which gets stuck at the shorter warning screen as well.
What i hope to achieve now
At best: To make it work again.
At worst: To at least be able to turn it off somehow so the text doesn't get burnt into the screen in case i ever manage to fix it.
Thanks in advance
Hello,
On my SM-T580 (TAB-A wifi) I flashed the last official rom with odin : PDA : T580ZCU5CSF1 / CSC : T580CHN5CSF1
2019-08-23 Release 8.1.0 T580ZCU5CSF1.
The flash went well but the tablet doesn't start anymore (black screen when switching on).
when I start in "download" mode, I get the download screen in chinese ...
However it is absolutely impossible for me to flash any other official ROM.
the flash starts and then goes to fail immediately with an error message in chinese "Bootloader locked".
the message on the tablet is: SW REV. Check fail ( bootloader) Device:5, Binary: 4.
I understand that the bootloader is now in release 5 and that all other ROMs are in 4 maximum. So it doesn't seem possible to downgrade my tablet and install an official (or unofficial) rom.
It seems to me that there is no solution as long as Samsung will not develop a functional ROM with a bootloader in release 5.
Do you have a solution for a possible downgrad or to make my tablet work ?
I also tried to flash a sm-t585 bootloader with a version 5 bootloader but without success.
Hi, did you found a solution? I did the same , and I have the same problem, the only difference is that I'm able to use my tablet, I flashed the last chinese firmware from march, its functional but with no google services.

The only way to bypass a locked bootloader/downgrade your bootloader is to buy a JTAG/Riff/Octoplus box and write the firmware you want to flash directly to the board.
Hi I have the same problem,
I was looking on Sam firmware for latest firmware and saw firmware for last month for my t580
Problem was it was Chinese, I thought just change the language during setup right? And then after I oem unlock and enable adb I can flash TWRP then root.
HOW WRONG WAS I?
The problem is the firmware for the t580 in China has bootloader locked.
Not only that, the bootloader has been updated to recent firmware and the btu (UK) and other firmwares only have a patch 6months prior.
So I am screwed unless the other countries update to a later security patch so I can pass the SW rev check and unlock bootloader again.
Just so noone else tries this as it's a PIA
#####EDIT ##### To solve this problem let the tablet boot up with the error code, connect to odin and flash the Chinese firmware again, then download and install crom service apk, goto developer options and do the usual, adb enable, oem unlock. Open the crom service app and select OK/Off whatever and reboot to download mode...
Once reboot to download mode and you will see crom service off and will be able to flash twrp, roms etc again.
As the title says, my device is a SM-J727T1 with J727T1UVS6BSI2 (TMK) Baseband version, and Android 8.1.0.
I tried to root my device with TWRP and Magisk, but during the Download Odin process it throws an error "secure check fail: (recovery)". I have the Samsung USB Drivers and USB Debugging activated, but I can't activate the "OEM Unlock", because that option is missing in the Developer Options. There are some guides that requires fastboot mode, but this device doesn't have fastboot mode, only the Download Mode.
Then, I suppose that the bootloader is still locked. But I can't unlock it. So I cannot root with recovery mode, nor with CF Auto Root via Odin. I also tried to root it with apps like Kingroot (Stuck at 1%), One Click Root (Doesn't have support for this device), and some others with similar results.
My objective is to root the device and flash the TWRP recovery with its official app, Flashify, Mobile Uncle Tools, or Safestrap app. After that, install a custom ROM. In the Resurrection Remix official page it gives a official version to the on7xelte device, which I think is Galaxy J7 Prime. Is my device compatible or not?
Try to flash u4 boot if its pass the you're able to root, otherwise don't waste your time
I got a Galaxy S8 G950F with Android 9 ( G950FXXUCDUD1 ).
Can i simply Root this device by Flashing TWRP via Odin ?? ( OEM Bootload unlocked surely ) or will i get problems with this android version ??
I read something about problems with rooting the s8 on Android9...
What about that?

Yes
As long as the following conditions apply:
OEM unlocked in developers menu
In Download ( odin ) mode:
FRP off
OEM off
KG status - Checking
Probably not on this version but if you have RMM state should show normal or disappeared
Then you can root your phone with either twrp or patched method
What is FRP, KG status, RMM State??
Never heard of this things before

Ahh okay .... i think FRP is that what makes trouble when u factory resetting a used phone ...
When i boot into DL-mode it shows me:
Current Binary : samsung official
FRP lock: off
OEM lock: off
Secure Download: Enabled
and three brown" lines and 17 Green lines ... but nothing about KG-Status or something with RMM_state ....
So flashing TWRP via Odin with this settings will work?
( but better using the TWRP Flashing after Oreo guide with 1 or 2 extra flashing files and SU , right ?? Or just only actuall TWRP Version via odin and finish? )

In regards to FRP question basically yes.
Did you have internet connected while in the system. On this version ( G950FXXUCDUD1 ) you will only have to worry about KG status. If it's not showing up your can try to flash twrp. I would keep a copy of your firmware in case you end up with ' only official binary crap ' error. This usually means bootloader is not fully unlocked.
Using guides for installing twrp ( only ) are still valid but some files are either updated, not necessary or have change but the method is the same.
Depending on what twrp version you use will depend on the no-verity zip required. This is basically all you need to install twrp.
I'm using the latest twrp version and use this no-verity zip. You will have to and ' quota ' the zip file name.
[Deprecated] Universal DM-Verity, ForceEncrypt, Disk Quota Disabler [11/2/2020]
Hi all! For the past couple of months, I've been looking into making a more universal solution to disable dm-verity and forceencrypt. Needing to take different zips, modify them for different devices, and then cross your fingers when you switch...

Magisk can be installed at any time.
