hi everyone first I think I made a big mistake
I have oneplus 6T INTERNATIONAL VERSION
I was trying to root it for the first time so I unlocked the bootloader and then installed TWRP recovery
and for some reason I had it to work and it was ok but had a problem with the google play service so decided to go back to stock
but here is the mistake I went to wipe on the TWRP and checkmark all the boxes and hit wipe
and then I locked the bootloader !!! now my phone is displaying only the msg (Your device is corrupt. It cannot be trusted and will not boot) nothing else tried everything available on the internet a lot of information but Idk what to do now I know its a big mistake but is there any fix for this problem?

No need to worries, you can just go back to stock from this link using your PC
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/tool-6t-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-oos-9-0-5-t3867448
Then you can proceed with unlock the bootloader again

Odd, probably you forgot to extract something?
The process of flashing is correct, probably you're missing something. You can ask there on the forum, they are all friendly.
Good luck, you can't brick a 6t, since we have this tool for any issues we face.

Try searching for SimpleRecoveryTool here in the forums (by OptimusRS), it should help you to get your recovery working again.

200mb file?program? i have it, will be putting on laptop soon. any known issues with win8? im really sick of win8 at this point its so hard to work with ..
worked great. i have recover, but why will it not boot into bootloader? is it not supposed to due to loki?
I think a few of us are getting too carried away with root lol. I, myself, sure had to catch myself. Don't forget that most of us do not have a custom recovery which means if you brick your device, you'll probably have to pm the devs and if a lot of that happens, they'll end up with an even bigger inbox than before root lol but my main reason for the thread is that everybody is speaking on unlocking the bootloader but I haven't heard one word on a bump'd recovery like on the G3? Is that even possible on this phone? By the way, would it be risky if I tried the universal init.d app? Kinda wanna try L Speed on this.
Lg flash tool.
We can get custom stock roms if any dev wants to do it. We just flash the img file.

Lol who's being a "donkey"?
Only the 815EU and 811 have unlocked bootloaders hence TWRP the rest of the g4 community does not have this benefit... On the subject of bumped, pretty sure that exploit used has been closed by LG...if you guys thought root took long the wait for another BL exploit likely will be much longer. I hope I'm wrong but I can't see another one being found for a while. Seems this time around LG really wants to lock every avenue down. The next coming soon firmware update will patch the current root backdoor, also the root that vnmobile discovered seems to be patched as well, although he hasn't released any details, it could very well be the same backdoor.

Hi guys please help me. I've been stuck for a week now and I jus cant seem to find a solution anywhere online. I've tried everything. Last week I flashed Tencent OS and it caused me to lose my network. After that I tried restoring efs backup but it caused my i9500 to go onto a bootloop. I struggled for a week to get out of the bootloop but I eventually did but now my imei is changed to the generic 0049 imei number. I've searched everywhere and tried all kinds of solutions but I jus cant seem to get it to work. I have an efs img backup from last year March that I've always kept safe but it doesn't work when I restore it. The only solution I haven't tried is efs professional because for some reason my laptop doesn't detect my phone when I want to perform adb actions. I can't even get into mass storage mode. I can only connect to Odin on my laptop. I've tried everything but I jus cant get it to work. Please help .

You don't need to re-lock the bootloader, but if you want to take OTA updates directly, you need to return to complete stock otherwise. Some people have flashed OTA zips via Flashfire successfully, but it unroots their phone. IMHO, the easiest way is to flash the factory image partitions via fastboot monthly. It's cleaner and I never have a problem, just need to do a couple extra things afterward.

Toolkits are dangerous to use. You have no control over what's being flashed. You should take the time to learn how to do this stuff manually. It's not hard at all. @Heisenberg has a thread in the q&a section that will walk you through everything.

This, though I'm guilty of using toolkits when I'm in an extreme rush, you should definitely learn the ins and outs manually before you go messing with your phone.
