I have mirrorlink in my car but my phone doesn't support it, so I was thinking that there might be a rom with it built in?
LineageOS and most of its derivatives already supports Miracast mirrorlink out of box.

If you mean Android Auto "Mirrorlink", good question, as Android Auto app is mostly useless as it tend to be crash happy (good concept, bad execution on Google's part).

Really? That's awesome, I didn't know, I haven't seen it in any of the "features" lists so I assumed it wasn't. Thanks for letting me know!
I would suggest trying LineageOS derivative anyways (crDroid or similar) as you could have better luck getting it work than on stock ROM.

No, Android auto is working with op6t original ROM, I just don't like it. My car supports both android auto and mirrorlink but needs a "mirrorlink enabled phone" which op6t is not.
Just to make sure we understand each other, LineageOS supports mirrorlink so i can use mirrorlink dependent apps like sygic navigation etc?
Good point. You have to try it, I don't bother using Mirrorlink on my Android headunit in my truck.

I dont think it works for Sense ROM's (cause they're coded differently) but here:

There's also a thread on xda with Google Now for ICS. Pretty easy, you just gotta flash the zip and then check, if the permissions have been set right. And I can guarantee it works on Sense 4
Actually I'm using it with Virtuous Infinity
But: you need ARMv7 Processor (guess you'll have that, Inspire 4G and Desire HD should have the same processor) and you have ot make space for it on the system partition.
And on Sense ROMs that means deleting a lot of stuff

It's better then what GuyInTheCorner posted (no offense) because you don't need an extra app for voice recognition

Hello Peeps, I am new to the tablet market but with the power these beasts throw out now its worth getting it.... and like any self respecting techy tear the thing apart!
Okay the issue: I have a Nexus 7 rooted but only after I downloaded Jelly bean 4.2, I used the Wugfresh nexus 7 roottoolkit. I have flashed the Kernel to the Trinity version so I can overclock and all that (although overclocking does not do much while playing ROMS on FPse??) So the main issue is when I plug the OTG cable into my Nesxus it works ETC I can use usb stick and my PS3 controller BUT as soon as I unplug the cable my Nexus restarts. Plugging and unplugging into normal charger works but the OTG cable just restarts the unit even if I do not plug anything into it. Does anybody have any idea what could cause this? The only thing I can think is the OTG cable is faulty and sends a voltage error restarting the unit?
Thank you in advance and I love the site!
I'm seeing the same thing on all 4.2 ROMS. I also caught a news story this morning about the Nexus 4 having the same issue. I think we may have to back down to 4.1.x until the issue is confirmed corrected. Also we'll probably have to be mindful of the build numbers going forward to know which ones have it and which ones don't unless someone can come up with a zip patch.
Sorry bud

Edit: StickMount (and others) apparently is a workaround, but I'm looking for "nativish" hosting. I prefer mine to just work.

I used the old bullet proof method with doing adb myself and do not have any problem with OTG.
You should avoid one click tools when you can use the good method

I just read that Motorola is planning to remove Assist & Migrate for the Marshmallow release. II really like the voice control on this phone. It's way more accurate than others I've tried. I could be wrong but it seemed to me in all the promos for the device the voice features were heavily featured as a selling point. So it seems a shame to me that we will lose these features when updating to Marshmallow. Are all the voice control features contained in assist? Oh BTW the article that mentioned this is on Android central invade anyone is wondering.
I am not 100% sure, but I believe the features they're removing are because Marshmallow has them baked in natively.

All the moto features will remain. They are simply removing the extra apps leaving all those integrated into the moto app itself and will not affect moto voice out moto display regardless.
Your worrying about nothing.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I really enjoy the voice features & was afraid they'd remove them & I'd be stuck with the "ok Google" which always scrambled my words until it was useless for me.
I hear rooting M will be quite difficult but they said that for every new version. Time will tell.

Keyboard: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blackberry.keyboard
Camera: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blackberry.camera
DTEK: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blackberry.privacydashboard

If anyone can download the apk's, I want to know how.

Yep no go on Chrome apk downloader or the web based downloaders. It might be able to be download from BB10 with the snap application once the apps are official shown in the playstore. Hopefully someone finds a way soon!
In for the waiting... Miss the keyboard so much having just come over from a Blackberry Z30.
Is there anyone planing to port these app to other android phone?

Anyone try to change ro.model to "Priv"?
---------- Post added at 11:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 PM ----------
Have tried ro.product.model=STV100-1 to 6, to no avail (of course I set ro.manufacture to blackberry). There must be something else, I mean the model is correct, based on all those leaked images. I accidentally know the guy in Vietnam that had that Venice prototype, will try ask him tomorrow to see if he could extract the apk (which will be difficult, as root is required)
If somebody knows a person that currently has a PRIV, you should be able to use their GsfID/model to pull down the APKs. Unless there is more security involved here, this worked in the past on my Android and BlackBerry 10 devices.
There are many more factors to get it fully working. Until the subscription to BlackBerry experience suite goes live, I doubt it will work

The stv100-6 i posted earlier is the real product model from the leaked device in vietnam. I have asked owner of it to try extracting apk but always getting error... guess blackberry is truly tough on security
Interesting, I'm still holding out hope though. I REALLY want these apps on my OP2. I just switched from a BB Passport.

Hi,
I'm a huge fan of USB-C to HDMI (used it a lot on my LG G5), but unfortunately it isn't enabled in Oxygen OS.
I'm aware that it's possible to mirror the screen via Miracast, Chromecast, and possibly DisplayLink, but I find these solutions to be far less reliable/stable.
So the big question is, will we ever be able to use USB-C to HDMI on the OnePlus 5 hardware (is it physically disabled)? Or is it a firmware issue which could be solved via modding/flashing?
I realize most people don't care about this feature, but many still do and I find that it a shame to be missing such a great feature eventhough we theoretically have the hardware required.
Thank you for taking the time to read the questions, and any answer or fix would be greatly appreciated.
Don't think so
It's just USB 2.0 with type C header.

Useless, there's a ton of answers to this already. It's not possible, use chromecast or some ****
You can use a displaylink adapter. Works with USB 2.0.
I don't understand why OnePlus doesn't support MHL, my S4 had it like 4 years ago. On USB 2.0 of course.
