Hi there.
I have set a 14 sec video as my lock screen wallpaper.
The problem is that this video plays only for 5 seconds, then it stops.
Is there any way to be able to see the full length of the video in the lock screen?
Fyi, I have face recognition (FR) turned on. If FR detects my face, it unlocks, it stays at home screen (smart stay is on), but the video stops playing as soon as my face is recognized.
The only way to see the full length of the video is to turn FR off, and have smart stay ON. So for as long as I keep staring the phone, the lock screen video is playing.
How can I do that with FR on?

The video wall freezes when device detects the face or when it shows the "no face detected" message...
It came out with Android 10/One Ui2... It just f***ed the experience with any video wall paper.
I don't know if that was a "feature" or if it is a bug...
Complete **it!!!!!

Hi,
If I don't have my mp3 player with me, there is still some music on my phone. The annoying thing is, it turns off always when I turn off the screen of the device. I am using the original htc player. I don't want to have the screen on, because the phone is in my pocket and it opens all possible stuff while I am moving. Is there a solution to that, or do I need a different player?
download slide 2 play. it is free and does everything you want it to do.
This happens because when you hit the power button you are suspending the device. What you want to do (to keep the music playing) is just turn the screen off without actually suspending the device. Find a program to toggle the screen.

I normally hit home then either turn it off or just let it dim out at the home screen.

I have a surround and lately its misbehaving.
The screen goes off within a second or two if I do not continue touching it. Sometimes it doesn't even stay for a second and goes off immediately. When the screen goes off, I notice the red battery light blinking. Sometimes its just in a reboot boot loop. If i am successful and able to reach videos and start a video, then the video plays fine.
Until the video is playing, the screen doesn't go off. I have tried a hard reset but it didn't help. I am on mango.
What might be the problem?
Is there a way to disable lock screen widgets without closing the playing audio.
I listen audio through my bluetooth and keep my phone in my pocket. Currently leaving anything playing keeps a widget on the top of the lock screen. All to frequently I find that I have skipped the song I wanted to hear or have jumped forward 25 minutes in my book. I found a setting in Podcast Addict and that app no longer does it.
I am rooted and using the stock rom. Would screen shots help?
I went ahead and contacted Samsung, the say it cannot be done.
Explain to me in more detail what you mean because I stream music and books, etc.. from my phone all day long and have no issues with it.
As an example, I use NPR One I launch the app, start streaming audio then press the power button to lock and power off the screen. If the power button gets pressed again the lock screen has audio controls. In this case it would only be play/pause and skip. I don't want those controls on the lock screen.
Hi,
I've found a lot of posts about the second screen but not for the main screen.
I have a LG V20 US996 unlocked and rooted. I also have a case that covers the sides and back.
I usually wear t-shirts with a deep chest pocket (Carhartt) where I keep my phone, screen in. When I'm outside working listening to music on bluetooth headphones (mostly with Poweramp), the main screen randomly turns on. I notice this when the music starts jumping or skipping tracks because my chest is now randomly pressing spots on the main screen. When I look at the phone, what's on the screen is always some random app that started. It doesn't seem to correspond to any notifications as it does it when there are none. The default second screen when the main screen is off is the date and time.
I tried completely disabling the double-tap to turn on and off the main screen (both in the android and Nova Launcher settings) but that didn't help. Nor did making sure the phone was locked as a few seconds later, the main screen would turn on again.
Am I missing any other settings or secret screen presses that might turn the main screen on? If not, does anyone know of an app or Xposed module (if it's available for the V20/Nougat; I haven't checked yet) that might turn off the main screen except when explicitly turned on?
Thanks!

If you're using the second screen, it too can turn the screen on, particularly anything that launches an app or long pressed on something on the second screen. Unless of course you're not using the second screen?

The proximity sensor should turn off the second screen when covered, along with disabling knockon and requiring you to push power button twice just to wake the screen(try this out at home). If for some reason this doesn't occur, you probably have a defective model.
It does appear to function the way you describe. If I double-tap the second screen, it turns on. However, if I cover the proximity sensor, the second screen turns off, double-tapping doesn't turn anything on but as you said, I need to press the power button on the back twice to turn it on.
Every now and then when I peek into my pocket, the second screen is indeed off. I need to pull the phone out enough for the second screen to come back on to see the time. I'm still not sure what might be turning the main screen on while it's in my pocket, though.

My screen always cuts off after being idle for around 10-15 seconds. It doesn't matter what I set the timeout to, it cuts off if I don't touch the screen for 10 seconds, even when I'm moving the phone around! The only fix I found was to enable caffeine, which is annoying when my screen accidentally turns on and never shuts back off unless I manually turn it off (like when my phone is in my pocket or a bag and I don't notice the screen is on). Does anybody know what to do? I already tried resetting and that didn't work.
